This wonderful, family-owned, cabin is located in a desirable upscale area of the West Shore, with plenty of privacy. On a cul-de-sac, and surrounded by pines, the home is just a couple of blocks up from Lake Tahoe. There is a private homeowner's beach and pier on beautiful McKinney Bay within an easy walk for swimming or boating. Buoy rental is available.
The home is Family Friendly with a large stone fireplace and wood provided. There is a big deck with built in seating.
The spacious, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath cabin sleeps 8... 10 if you use a few of the inflatable aero beds for the livingroom. The beds have Down pillows and comforters.
Our home is designed with an open plan, with a long dining room table that seats at least 12... we use one end for crafts and the other for meals! The kitchen is open to the living area... an entertaining plus. Pine cathedral ceilings with sky lights, antiques,and "Tahoe Style" furniture, all add to the ambience.
There is a large stone fireplace in the living room. Amenities include a Flat Panel TV/VCR/DVD/cable and a TV downstairs with VCR/DVD, over 100 movies, Wi-Fi, Stereo w/ CD player, games. The kitchen is fully-equipped and a washer and dryer are downstairs.
Our Homeowner's beach is an easy walk and provides direct lake access for Swimming, Boating snd Summer Fun. Buoy rental is available through our HOA with proof of boat insurance.
The home is conveniently situated close to shopping, restaurants, hiking, Sugar Pine Point State Park, Meeks Bay, and not far to the casinos in either North or South Shore. It is just one mile from skiing at Homewood, ten miles from Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows Ski Resorts, and just five miles from Tahoe City.
Homewood Mountain Resort is only 1 mile South on Hwy 89. It's a great place to ski/ride with less hassle or for families who are budget minded. They also have children's ski school so you can check the kids in and hit the slopes, even come home for lunch!
This is a great deal! Much less expensive than equal homes through agencies. Family-owned, so we keep it nice... relaxing, spacious, great location, kid-friendly (gate at top of stairs, portable crib available, games, videos etc.). We book up fast... e-mail as soon as you know your dates!

We had two families with kids at different ages in Tahoe. This place worked perfect for us. It was very clean, and had a large open entertaining area. We could have 4 or 5 people working in the kitchen, kids playing cards at the table, and others (my husband and brother-in-law) on their laptops all at the same time with plenty of room. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the down comforters and pillows. The washer and dryer came in handy more times than I thought I would need also. The kids liked the big flat screen TV (of course) and the 100's of videos at the cabin. It was great to have a TV downstairs also so the adults could chill and listen to music. We were very close to the private beach and would send the kids down to jump off the dock while we'd talk or read a book in the sand. Tahoe City is close, they have some nice shops and restaurants. We ate at Jake's on the Lake. Sunnyside only a couple miles away and we could have drinks on their huge deck while the kids fished for crawdads. We also rented a ski boat their one day. Great price! We'll rent again in the winter when we can go sledding and skiing... I hear Homewood is a nice resort.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

A good house, has sceaky floors. A little dusty. The balcony is nice and big, with a bench. Lots of great movies for both adults and kids to watch. Very roomy. In a nice quite community. The private pier is great, has a small beach, but the floor of the water has rocks everywhere. Great house to go with family or share with friends.

We had a fabulous time. The house was perfect for a family (or 2) with kids. The private dock and beach is very close. We walked down several times a day. There is lots of parking at the dock too, if you need to drive. The open kitchen allowed us to cook and be part of the group at the same time. Comfortable beds, nice to have down comforter. Big deck with BBQ.

This cabin is great for families. It is located on a very quiet and private street which dead ends not far from the cabin. The spacious open main floor allows for sizable family activities. A cozy stone fireplace is great for cold evenings and the large dining table allows plenty of seating. The downstairs bedrooms feature one with built-in bunk beds plus 2 other rooms that would be comfortable for 2 persons each.It allows for easy walking access to the dock/beach.A convenient mudroom at front door helps to keep the cabin clean.

This cabin is great for families as it has a big open kitchen, a great long table that seats 12,and a cozy living room centered around a stone fireplace all in one "great room" upstairs. Bedrooms are all down.It is on the peaceful West Shore but easy to travel to great skiing or the homeowner's pier and the lake.Kids love the built in bunk beds.
