One mile from Homewood, 10 from Alpine and Squaw. Great sledding around cabin and at nearby sled hills. Ski, sled, hike, or cuddle up in the big leather chair by the big cozy fireplace... we provide the firewood.
This wonderful, family-owned, cabin is located in a desirable upscale area of the West Shore, with plenty of privacy. On a cul-de-sac, and surrounded by pines, the home is just a couple of blocks up from Lake Tahoe.
There is a private, homeowners association dock and beach (great "crawdad" fishing there for the kids too!). A romantic place for two or a great family vacation home! No need to drive anywhere... Walk to the lake for swimming, and boating; we are just up the street from the bike trail that wraps-around the lake. The Tahoe shuttle runs frequently to the ski resorts and Tahoe City for restaurants and shopping.
The spacious, three bedroom, two and a half bath cabin sleeps eight... we also have a few inflatable aero beds for the livingroom. Our home is designed with an open plan, with a long dining room table that seats at least 12... we use one end for crafts and the other for meals! The kitchen is open to the living area... an entertaining plus. Pine cathedral ceilings with sky lights, antiques, "Tahoe Styling" furniture, and new carpeting all add to the ambiance.
In the summer, you can barbecue or relax on a lounge chair on the large deck under the pine trees. For the colder months, there is a large stone fireplace in the living room. Amenities include two TVs/VCRs/DVD, over 100 videos, Wi-Fi, Stereo w/ CD player, games. The fully-equipped kitchen has new appliances, and a washer and dryer. New mattresses on all beds.
The home is conveniently situated close to shopping, restaurants, Sugar Pine Point State Park, Meeks Bay, and not far to the casinos in either North or South Shore. It is just one mile from skiing at Homewood, ten miles from Squaw Valley and Alpine Ski Resorts, and just five miles from Tahoe City.
This is a great deal! Much less expensive than equal homes through agencies. Family-owned, so we keep it nice... relaxing, spacious, great location, kid-friendly (gate at top of stairs, portable crib available, lots of games, videos etc.).
