Hello, we are Peter Hastings and Christina Hines, the caretakers of "The Humble Abode". We are young entrepreneurs here on Mount Desert Island, and have been working in and enjoying Bar Harbor for 7 years. We are excited to provide a "home away from home" for our guests that is special and memorable.
Why the Owner Chose Bar Harbor
We chose to caretake at this property because of it's charm and location. The cottage is so cute and clean, we are proud to show it off and share it with others. The location is great for anyone who wants to enjoy downtown Bar Harbor, yet also be close to Acadia National Park and the ocean.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
While staying at our rental property, one can enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown Bar Harbor while still being very close to the solitude of the ocean and Acadia National Park. We love being able to utilize the restaurants and shops as well as activities in the park all in walking distance. One can also enjoy the comfort of the cottage, in all of it's charm.
