My family had a great time with swimming, and my son in law enjoyed fishing. The house is so well supplied. We did appricate all the labeling thru out the house.
Owner response:Hi Penny, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Lakefront Paradise. We keep the home well stocked for our guests and label everything so they can easily find what they need and maximize their vacation time! Dave and Christy

Hi Dave, Another great retreat at your place. We had a blast and caught about 20 largemouth bass and a 12 pound catfish. Thanks for the memory and I'm sure we'll talk again. Take care. James

Thanks Dave for a great weekend! The house is spacious (we had 8 guests which is the maximum occupancy and there was plenty of room). The livingroom area was large. Two different tables to spread out during mealtimes if needed. The master bedroom was large with a very comfortable bed! We were pleased with the house. The deck was nice overlooking the lake. Some steps to get down to the lake but we didnt mind. The boys liked the kayaks, etc. The location of the house is usually pretected from the wind although the weekend we went we had very nice weather, no wind! The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, etc. So, overall, a great experience. The driveway itself is flat but getting down to the driveway is on a hill so it was just a little challenging backing the truck/trailer down into the driveway. Once we were parked though we just stayed parked for the weekend. We had a nice time and loved relaxing on the deck with the view! Caught 10 bass (not at the house) but on our boat. The largest was 4.5 pounds. Unfortunately none were caught on the dock. Probably would be great in another month though! Thanks Dave, we enjoyed your place.
Owner response:Hi Jena, glad that you enjoyed your stay at Lakefront Paradise. Our protected cove is one of the great features of our property. We keep our home stocked with everything our guests can possibly need so they can relax and enjoy their stay. We reccommend using our boat and trailer parking area just above the driveway for parking boats and trailers. It is very easy to get in and out there. Glad to hear you were able to catch 10 bass in the lake, that's great! The bass bite from our dock comes with the seasons. You can usually find bass somewhere in our cove at any given time. The bass will be moving into the tules along our shoreline to spawn soon. You can catch catfish off the dock just about all year round and they are a lot of fun to reel in. Sincerely, Dave and Christy

Dave and Christy, Thank you so much for everything. We had a great time at Lakefront Paradise last weekend. It seemed too easy! We put the boat in on Saturday morning and had 2-4 foot swells all the way around. As soon as we rounded the point to Lakefront Paradise the water laid right down and there was hardly a ripple. We decided to spend a peaceful day on the dock watching the white caps roll on by while we enjoyed our nice calm bay! Sunday the whole lake was calm and beautiful. Thanks again

My family had a wonderful time on our second stay at the Lakefront Paradise property. We really enjoyed the backyard, especially since the lake is right there. The green area right before the bridge unto to the dock is a great place for kids to run and have fun. The house is well kept and in great order and we appreciated the updated furnishings. There is plenty to do with the family between the kayaking (which was provided at the site), books, movies, boardgames, and fishing we couldn't ask for more. The people in Clearlake are also really nice and appreciative of your business. We plan on taking a long trip and short trip every year to this site. Keep up the great work we really love it.

Thanks Dave and Christy for everything. I appreciated all the quick replies to my questions and for allowing our dogs to come along. We all had such a great time, we didn't want to leave. Like the title says, the house is very cozy, comfortable, and very relaxing. We loved that you provided lanterns and flashlights, had a ipod dock, and had heaters in every room. We made good use of the outdoor grill and the boat dock for fishing. We were able to catch 5 bass and of course we released them (so I can catch them again next time I come back). For the fishermans out there, I used a wacky worm lure to catch them. We would definately come back again and I would refer this place to anyone. I bet the fishing is even better in the summer. We all want to thank you for a great weekend.

Hi Dave and Christy, Mickey and I would like to thank you for the beautiful basket of fruit, melon and berries that awaited us when we arrived at Clear Lake last week! It was a long, hot trip up from the San Francisco peninsula --- so when we opened the refridgerator to find this lovely surprise, it was a BIG TREAT(and of course, we enjoyed the fruit all week). As ususal, we thouroughly enjoyed staying in your lovely home (our third stay now). . . and appreciated some of the upgrades too (like the new bedroom furniture, iPod docking stations, etc.) This is clearly a home that someone cares A LOT about, which adds to the comfortable feeling of "being at home" when we're there, and makes the stay all that much more special. Mickey has caught lots of big fish in his life - you'll recall he grew up in Minnesota - but the biggest bass he has ever caught came right from your pier last week! I've attached a picture (it weighed in at 6 pounds). We were both delighted . . . though our chocolate lab (Snickers) wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Another special moment: there were lots of deer everywhere ---and one evening, two little fawns walked right into the yard . . . nibbling at ferns and looking right at us the whole time! I've attached a pix of them too. We hope to return in late Spring and very much look forward to it! All the best, Susan

Dave, our family enjoyed our three nights at the Lakefront Paradise. My wife and I hosted our son and his wife and our 2.5 yr-old granddaughter. We found the home to be clean, modern in every way, and away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We enjoyed use of the dock and kayaks. From the dock, our granddaughter caughter a few bass that made her entire weekend. The algae made the lake green and did not encourage swimming. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well furnished and the TV and movies gave us enjoyment. I am somewhat mobility challenged and the steps to the dock were an issue. I would heartily recommend your home. Ron Jamtgaard
Owner response:Hi Ron, we are glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay. Sounds like your granddaughter is quite the bass angler! Sincerely, Dave and Christy

This home offers a stunning view of the lake, with it's beach front property and personal floating dock. A very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, that brings you in touch with nature and the local wildlife. The house is quite comfy and has all the amenities of home, except for air conditioning. The cooling is provided by a swamp cooler, that does an adequate job, even in August. What I was unaware of, is that the tap water is filtered lake water and not drinkable. Bottled water is provided for drinking. Being that we went in August when the algae is in full bloom, the shorelines smelled really bad, as did the tap water in the house. Showering was an unpleasant experience because of the horrible smelling water, and the water pressure was extremely low, thus taking you lots longer to accomplish your shower. The second best part of our stay here was the helpfulness and accommodating manner of the owner. Although we have never met, he certainly seems to be a stand up guy, that takes care of his responsibilities and is concerned for his tenants. If you are looking for a great place to get away to, this is it --- keeping in mind that August might not be the best time.
Owner response:We are glad that you enjoyed your stay Parry! Thanks for letting us know about the tap water so we could have the system serviced while you were there. As you know, the water filtration system is now working great again. The tap water quality and pressure are no longer an issue. Our apologies for the temporary inconvenience. We always address any issues that come up immeidately as we want all our guests to really enjoy their stay at Lakefront Paradise. Algae in the lake does come and go in the month of August, though our cove has better water quality than most on the lake. In the last few days the lake has cleared thanks to a little wind. By the beginning of September, it should all be gone. Sincerely, Dave and Christy

Dave, Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your place on the lake. It was perfect! My family had a wonderful time. My daughter (10 yrs old) was so excited with all of the animals. She saw frogs, ducks, fish, (we caught a nice bass)and deer. You did a great job with the place. There was enough of a family touch such as,photos and games and movies, that we were instantly comfortable there. The bird watching books and posters were a nice touch also. Any bird we saw my daughter would run in and try to figure out what kind of bird it was. We loved all of the labels on everything to assist us. We didn't need to try and figure anything out. It was truly one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. You can expect an email from me in January to set up our next vacation. Thanks again!!!! It was great!

I rented this home for a surprise amily get away to celebrate my wife's birthday. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and the renting process was a breeze. The home was easy to locate with GPS and spotless upon our arrival. My kids and labs enjoyed running outside and watching the herd of deer that was seen grazing every morning on the ridge by the house. We even had a surprise visitor in the middle of the night when a racoon tried to get into our dogs food storage container! The fishing off of the dock was excellent. My son caught a 5lb largemouth and a 4 lb smallmouth bass, and noth my daughter and wife caught their first largemouths. The man at the tackle store told us the bass weren't biting but we were able to prove him wrong. The private dock is well lit and set up perfectly for fishing. I look forward to coming back in the ummertime when I could comfortably fish for catfish at night. My only recommendation would be to either bring in your own food or go to a grocery store other then the Safeway in Clearlake Oaks. The store was very dirty, the employees were rude and there was a very poor selection of meats and other grocery items. For whatever reason several other patrons (tweekers) were yelling and screaming profanities up and down the aisles. It was to the point that it frightened my children. The town itself is an eyesore but is soon forgotten once you arrive back at the house. I highly recommend this house and plan on staying again soon. Thank you Dave and Christy!
Owner response:Sean, Glad that you really enjoyed your stay and caught some nice bass off the dock! Sorry to hear about your experience at the Red and White grocery store in Clearlake Oaks. We have been going there for years and have not experienced a problem. Sincerely, Dave and Christy

My husband and our two dogs stayed here for New Years and we just loved it. The pictures really don't do it justice. The view is beautiful and there is a lot of room out side to enjoy it. It was quite cold so we didn't venture into the lake but we certainly appreciated the view from the deck and dock. The dogs just loved it and spent plenty of time chasing each other around the many levels of property. The house was in great shape, clean and ready for us to come right in. It has a nice carport right by the door so we didn't have to lug any of our luggage up and down stairs or anything like that. The owners were great to work with, very quick to respond to us and provided a lot of helpful information about the area as we were unfamilar with Clearlake. The house is up a bit of a windy road but once we got used to that and figured our way around the lake we were very happy. It was private and quiet even though the neighbors at the property next door were also up for the holiday. We didn't hear a peep even on new years eve which is just what we had hoped for. The wineries in the area are great and the drive around the lake is not to be missed. If you enjoy an Irish Pub be sure to stop in at the Corkman's Clipper, we had a great time listening to live music and talking with the owner. Loved the place, thanks for letting us rent!

Hi Dave, just wanted to let you know that everything was great for our three day stay at Lakefront Paradise. The house was wonderful and very comfortable. I have say the fishing was not so great, but some of that was my fault for bringing such light tackle! I am sure I had a large catfish on the line, but the 4 pound spider wire I was using did not stand a chance against at least a 10 lb catfish, but it was exciting to say the least! I will know better next time. We are hoping to come back in the spring. My family and I felt right at home there.

I wanted to tell you and Christy how very much we enjoyed our stay at your Lakefront Paradise home. It's beautiful, perfectly appointed --- and I loved the "personal touches" like the photos on the wall beside the kitchen and in other places around the house. Our visit was filled with many wonderful, memorable moments! Mickey caught three huge catfish (the first at least 12 pounds). Our chocolate lab (Snickers) swam in the lake for hours. And I read three great books. Truly, this was our family's idea of paradise . . . particularly when coupled with the extraordinary home and grounds that you maintain there. (Mickey was SO impressed with the set-up at the dock; he's a veteran fisherman from Minnesota and loved the amenities!) I've attached a pix of Mickey and Snickers with one of the "catches". Thanks again for sharing your lovely home. We hope to return in the future! All the best, Susan

We had an unbelievably wonderful time at this property last weekend. The place is well equipped with pretty much everything you need, has a nice patio and also a private dock (if you have or rent a boat), where you can sit all day and enjoy the magnificent views. Great value for the price. The location of this property is also ideal, since the lake here is much calmer and easier to navigate kayaks or other non-motor boats, rather than doing it in the main lake which can get choppy. There are places nearby if you want to rent boats, although we just hung out there and spent our time reading a book and enjoying a beer. Its slightly tricky getting there at night, but Dave's directions really helped us. We didn't need to step out of the house all weekend since we had all the food, drinks and gear we needed and that's how I would recommend anyone to enjoy this wonderful property. I would definitely rent this place in a heartbeat.
Owner response:Pavan: Glad to hear you had a fabulous time at Lakefront Paradise! Great advice to bring enough food and drinks to maximize time enjoying the property and the lake. I'm glad you were able to find the house in the dark with our directions. GPS is also very helpful for first time guests that are arriving after dark. Sincerely, Dave and Christy

We came to Clearlake for the first time this summer to relax and swim. Relax we did! The view and the privacy of this beautiful property was just what we needed. The owners obviously have taken care of this home with love; it's very clean and everything is easy to find - well organized. The only drawback we found was the algae filled lake; which wasn't mentioned in the description, that lists swimming as one of the activities available. We had planned to swim off of the dock, but the water was filled with green muck. If you have a boat, or come to fish this place is ideal.
Owner response:Cynch and Leah: We're glad you had a relaxing stay at our home and enjoyed the privacy and beautiful scenery! Sorry to hear about the algae. Our cove is usually immune to the alage that shows up in other parts of the lake, but it spread to the whole lake during the time you were there. It has already cleared up. We just spent the last couple days there (right after your stay) and the water was great. Sincerely, Dave and Christy

Thank you so much for a fabulous Thanksgiving Holiday at the “Sena's Lake House”. It was very cozy and we had everything we needed to make a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and catch my record (thus far) catfish, 8 lbs and 14 oz. It was very late at night and fishing off the dock with the lights made it much more comfortable. It was cold, but we came to fish and fish we did! We caught a 3 and ½ lb and a 2 and ½ lb catch fish additionally. We took you up on the offer and burned some of the fire wood. It was so cozy and quaint looking out over the lake through the flickering flames. It was quiet majestic. I think those were my favorite moments! We loved the experience and would like to come back again. Thanks again for an unforgettable holiday! Dona and Robert - Alta Loma, Ca
