This house is what a vacation rental should be. It is fully stocked with anything you may need during your stay. The owners provide more than any other vacation home we have ever stayed in. When you read the list of ammenities provided by the owner, it is there, all of it. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 4 children age 3-16, this house is spacious and quiet and has more than enough sleeping room/hangout space for everyone. It is located perfectly on the mountain with super easy access to the trails at the bike park and Darling Hill, these trails are meticulously maintained and there are plenty to choose from for seasoned riders or newbies. We took full advantage of the location and things to do in Vermont. We will be back to this house, one of our favorite places so far. *i would also like to say that we are beach people, love the beach vacation, this mountain trip has changed my mind.Did you find this review helpful? I second everything Patrick B. said. I would also add, the house is full of toys for both young and old and the walk out basement to the ski trail is perfect. Well thought out to keep all your equipment, and the floors are radiant heat, so if you leave your boots there over night they are nice and toasty for morning. A short easy walk and you are on the slopes!!!! Beautiful sunsets as well. Owner very responsive. We had 3 couples, 2 children, plenty of room to spare. We look forward to returning.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I almost don't want to write this review in fear of our new favorite family vacation destination becoming too popular and unavailable for us in the future, but .. The chalet is fantastic !! From the location, to the layout, to the cleanliness. Each year my teenage kids and I rent a chalet or condo for some quality family time and skiing. This year my sister/brother in law and their 7 & 5 year old (first time skiers) joined us. At the end of the trip we critique and discuss how it could have been better. Two comments: More snow and more family. Next year we hope to return with my 2 brothers and their families. Plenty of room. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, even checked with us during our stay making sure all was well. Hoping for more snow and an opportunity to return this March, if available, as the lack of snow closed many trails (mostly black) but what was open was well groomed and enjoyed. Highly recommended !!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a great place for family and friends. Being spring time, we were greeted with beautiful green surroundings and creek which provided a wonderful background sound and reminder of the outdoors. Inside were four generous bedrooms with a multitude of comfortable beds and three full baths. The kitchen, dining area, and great room became the gathering place for us as we also enjoyed the view outdoors through the multi-story windows. There were a ton of dishes and utensils for us to use as we decided to enjoy and cook in versus going out for dinner Saturday night. The location was ideal as we had an easy walk up hill to the Burke Mountain Academy school. There are plenty of trails nearby for biking and jogging. Thanks for a very memorably weekend. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We've rent this very beautiful property for our weekend mountain bike getaway at Kingdom Trails network in East Burke. We now understand why East Burke is consider to be a Top 10 destination by many MTB magazines. The property is very well located at the base of Burke Mountain where you can already ride some trails and also a 5 minutes ride down to the main entrance of the trail network located in the village center. It is also a walking distance from the Tamarack Grill where they serve great food and gets quite crowded with locals later in the evening with live bands. The house was absolutly spotless, very spacious and comfortable. They were 4 bedrooms and lots of beds to accomodate our party of 8 adults. The garage gives you the space to get the mechanic done on your bikes after the ride and the mud room to leave your stuff for the next ride. The wide balcony is the perfect spot to enjoy the late afternoon sun with a cold beer before cooking these steaks on the BBQ. The kitchen is fully equiped and the dining space is just lovely with the cathedral and the floor to ceiling fenestry. We had a wonderfull stay, did some incredible riding, met a lot of Quebecers and it is a definitly come back soon! Ride safe!Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

My wife and I, and our four grown children and their significant others shared a wonderfull ski weekend in this magnificent home. There was plenty of room for every couple to have their own space (including a huge family type room with an enormous television and fooseball set up). The dinner table easily accomodated all ten of us. A one minute walk through a path brought us to a ski trail for easy access to Burke Mountain where there was beautiful snow and no lift lines. The house is well equipped with anything you might need and is spotless. We kept a fire going all day (plenty of wood). The floor to ceiling windows make the setting truly spectacular and let you feel like you're part of nature, but also private. All arrangements with the owner were easy. We highly recommend this beautifulnhome if you want an escape to the Northeast Kingdom.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Wow! What a great mountain getaway! House was ideal. Went up with a large group and there was plenty of room. Had all the comforts of home too. The kids loved the spacious TV/game room downstairs and the adults enjoyed the fireplace, huge living room , and beautiful views. We walked to the base lodge and had a great dinner at the Tamerak Grill. House is right next to the trails. Perfect location for skiers, bikers, snow mobilers, and hikers. We loved it so much that we are already going to book for next year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
