  A week was not long enough!!! At the end of that week, we didn’t want to leave, the staff felt like family and if we could have postponed the inevitable we most definitely would have. Had we known such a sanctuary existed just 1.5hrs away from Kuta, we would have been here earlier! The old Balinese culture is still alive and thriving here in Candidasa, there aren’t any street hawkers or hard line sellers yelling at you unlike in Kuta or Seminyak. Food and shopping prices are very low, better than in other tourist areas. Budi was very helpful and had arranged everything to our schedule with expertise and efficiency. Pleo made the most amazing fresh fruit frozen drinks that we rarely left the villa. Our room was turned down twice a day and the villa cleaned to immaculate 5 star conditions in the blink of an eye. We had our privacy in the villa and often slept in till 11am. Upon opening the gate our breakfast would be freshly cooked. The service level is out of this world and very unobtrusive. They always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble. From the moment we walked in the doors it was more than we expected. The overall setting and the 180 degree view of the ocean from the café are just amazing. We really enjoyed just sitting in the pool and watching the sunset over the Coconut trees. When reading the reviews I thought this place was too good to be true, but it really is perfect! The home is decorated beautifully. Everything we could have wanted was provided. We also enjoyed massages and pedicures during our stay which were organized efficiently and were a great way to unwind. The Villa is a luxurious sanctuary, easily accessible to the beach and shops but comfortably private and removed from the local hustle and bustle. The architectural style of the villa is based on the steep, elegant lines of the Balinese Alang Alang roofs and is tastefully decorated with rich carvings and statues, paying homage to Balinese culture and in particular to the Balinese Ikat weaving! The mix of dark timber panelling and carvings set against the clean, cool cream of the walls and cream marble floor tiles will satisfy the aesthetic taste of the discerning tourist. I have stayed in a number of villas throughout Phuket and Bali and Honeymoon Villa was one of the best!! It is even better than the photos depict and we would recommend a stay here to anyone looking for rest, relaxation, fabulous staff support, amazing food from great romantic restaurant’s and a beautiful

  Welcome to the nicest little villa for a perfect holiday. We were meet by Budi and Playo on a very wet and wind afternoon and a very pleasant pair they were. They looked after own every need over our two week stay. Such great staff, Jennifer. The Honeymoon Villa is a little gem in Candidasa. The villa is very well equiped for a pleasant and memorable stay. Having it's own private pool and private space was just what we wanted. We loved it. Many of the restaurants that were recommended were tried several times. The jazz is a must at Vincent's and the seafood sensation at Rendevous is a must. Great coffee too. You are within walking distance to most restaurants and shops fowever most of the eating places with do pickup and drop off. It makes for a very easy and relaxed holiday. We celebrated a 60th birthday here and it is one we will remember. We had a bonus of going to a local wedding and it was Nyepi ceremony celebrations with Silent Day thrown in too. Thank you so much to Jennifer, Budi and Playo for making it a beauitful experience and we will see you again soon.

  J+M part 2 - Second Visit. This is now our second time staying here! We loved it so much we came back.. The villa is so close to the Candi Dasa shops and restaurants you can either walk there, or get the lovely Budi to drop you down there! Very romantic and private environment with a gorgeous garden surrounding the pool that really makes you feel like you are on your own island! Every morning Pleo, who works with Budi, made us the best mixed drinks and breakfast! It was really nice to be able to wake up and do our own thing while breakfast was being prepared. The pool was probably where we spent most of our days this time around, having done the various Bali adventure tours the last time we stayed. We had the Honeymoon Villas recommended masseuse, Komang, come down on several occasions for massages, facials, pedicures and manicures which were well needed!! Would definitely recommend coming to stay here! You get great value for money and I cannot stress enough how beautiful it is :D Great get away!! Thanks so much Jenn, Budi and Pleo!

  Honeymoon Villa Bali is located in Candi Dasa, Bali, Indonesia (about 1.5 hours from Denpasar) and is about a 10 minute walk from the local shops and International restaurants. I was picked up from the airport by the personal driver Budi and was greeted by Pleo who is the assistan manager. Pleo has a daily cleaning schedule and made us breakfast every morning, both Budi and Pleo were both extremely polite and catered to our every need. Budi is also a tour guide and was able to take us all over Bali. The villa itself was beautiful, the garden was set out amazingly with mainly native Indonesian plants, the pool was always a perfect temperature to swim in, day or night. We had our breakfast out in the gazebo every morning and Pleo makes the most amazing mixed fruit smoothies!! I stayed with my partner at the villa for 4 nights and we don’t have one bad word to say about the place. The location is far away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta or Denpasar so we were able to enjoy quiet nights. The garden and pool are lit up at night, the atmosphere is beautiful and we were able to really kick back and relax in it. If you’re looking to get away from throngs of tourists and go and see the REAL Bali, Honeymoon Villa Bali is the only place I could recommend, it’s the perfect place to relax for a week and gives you a great opportunity to meet the locals and eat some traditional Balinese and International food! I recommend La Rouge for Indian and Vincents for Seanfood ...Absolutely loved it!!!

  My husband and I had a wonderful trip. The Villa is even better than pictures. Budi and Playo are amazing and helped with everything we could need. There are great resturants in the area and the villa is within walking distance to town. The area was very safe and the people were so friendly. We had never travelled outside of the states before and were very happy with the entire trip. We stayed for a week here before traveling two days at time to other areas on the island of Bali. This villa was definitely our favorite. Budi was a great guide and provides a lot of knowledge about the culture and history of the area. We definitely are going to try to come back very soon. I highly recommend this villa and I think it would be great for honeymooners or couples.

  We arrived late evening to be picked up by the villa manager, Budi from Denpasar Airport driven directly to Bali Santi. It was stunning! Clean, tidy and welcoming. Fridges in the kitchen and outside under the bale (gazebo), both full of cold drinks which catered to all and his joint manager, Pleo so polite, obliging and always there to provide the best service, though tastes, including the good old Bintang! Candi Dasa provided perfect weather and with Budi never intrusive. The Honeymoon Villa is the place to be , there is nowhere that serves breakfast and fruit smoothies as good as what Pleo served !!! Candi Dasa is an absolute pleasure to holiday. The local shops provided all the goodies for presents and clothes, better prices than Kuta and with a lot less hassling. There are great restaurants which cater up to 5 star eg; Vincents, La Rouge and a few others that I cannot remember. Villa owner Jenn has provided all the recommendations. I believe she has been to every restaurant to ensure that her recommendations are authentic! Malibu, with its simple, relaxing atmosphere, is my personal favourite. We went scuba diving at QDive which was a 10 minute drive to Pandang Bai. What a totally awesome experience! Had training in the swimming pool first then off we went. This was my first time scuba diving; in fact I have never even been snorkelling! We were out for 5 hours total of 2 dives first at 7 meters and second at 16 meters. Wow! What a life changing experience! Thanks to Ecka for being so supportive and patient - I felt safe and cared for the whole time! Huge thanks to Jenn for this recommendation… yet another winner! Still cannot believe I did this! Special thanks to Jenn, who was always so helpful and accessible, polite and a delight to deal with. I could go on and on as cannot say enough that would recommend this to anyone wanting a brilliant holiday that provides all the privacy you could want and so much more!!! I have already started saving my pennies as coming back next year. Jenn you, your team and Honeymoon Villa simply THE BEST!!!

  The Honeymoon Villa in Candidasa is a great place for spending your honeymoon or just for a getaway! We spent our honeymoon here and had an amazing time. The villa has many beautiful Balinese accents! In addition, it is very clean and cozy! Furthermore, it has amenities that a traveler is happy to have...a kitchen, cell phone, access to wifi, and electrical adapters. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful! The villa was cleaned daily and fresh, beautiful little flower arrangements were placed on the dining table and master bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay and hope that one day we can return!

  A week in Legian and we were ready to relax real Bali style and where better than Honeymoon Villa and Candidasa? Not our first honeymoon just one of many and the villa was just great. Comfort, style, luxury, privacy and service.There is nothing wanting.The villa has everything you need plus some. And if you get a little stir crazy, a 30 second stroll to the beachfront and the Bali Santi restaurant, pool and bar. While left to your own devices, Budi and Playo somehow appeared discreetly right when you needed them. Playo's breakfast by the pool under the bale - definitely worth getting out of bed for every morning. And Candidasa is a gem.Lay back, great restaurants, still good shopping on a smaller scale and certainly less hassles. Its about a 15 minute flat walk into town which seems a long way in the heat but there's always a Bintang waiting. All the restaurants have a free pick up cab service. Just make a booking and they come and get you and take you home. There's only one that does not, can't remember the name, has numbers in the name. Try Joglo, Vincents and Le something or other and the Candi Bakery. All great, cheap local food in very upmarket settings. Go to White Sands Beach about 20 minutes north. Budi will take you and pick you up. A row of great little eating spots, warungs, and beach chairs right along a very pretty beach. You can also get there by water which would be a bit of fun.There is a little fishing boat down on the beach in town that runs up there and waits for you. I could go on, but would not stop. If you want a laid back, relaxing luxury break, without the five star hotel hype, Honeymoon Villa and Candidasa. We are back again in a few months.

  The Honeymoon villa looks just as the picture portrays it......... but better! Staff was charming and attentive. Only have praise for both of them. Jennifer, the owner was thoughtful, attentive and accessible, (even though she lived in Germany!) Villa walking distance to the center of Candidasa. Limited choice of restaurants in the village for tourists who are looking for cleanliness and gastrointestinal security from bacteria. Given that, we still managed to gain weight.! Candidasa is removed from major towns..everywhere we went seemed to take at least an hour.....except for "White Sandy Beach" (nicest beach nearby) which took 1/2 hr over a very rough road. Would recommend this Villa for someone who just wants to rest, stay at the pool and have not much else on their agenda except to "chill out"

  We have been back from our 2 week trip to Bali where we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary, for over one week now. I just wanted to drop you a short email & tell you how delighted we were with our brief, but memorable stay at your beautiful villa. Of all of our accommodation, we liked our stay at your villa in Candidassa the most. Your villa was so well designed, immaculately stylish & beautifully cleaned. We also loved the privacy of the outdoor area & pool. To top off a wonderful stay, we also found your staff to be polite, helpful & yet wonderully unobtrusive. Honestly, I wish we had known & would have booked for 2 weeks instead of 2 days……….we were so sad to leave. Candidassa was a real gem; we loved that we could walk each evening to fabulous restaurants, where we enjoyed great service & food, & had a wonderful day snorkelling on Blue Lagoon, which Buddie organised for us. Would we return (the true test), in a heartbeat & I can honestly say this only about your accommodation on our whole trip, as everything at your villa was just perfect. Thankyou for your hospitality, although absent, the thoughtful ‘extras’ that you leave in the villas are much appreciated. We especially noticed this as the previous villa that we stayed in, although nice, the owners either charged for everything or left no provisions at all, not even soap & the staff were ever present! We also enjoyed listening to Sean’s CD & have become fans! On Buddies insistence we took a CD upon our departure & when we play it, it brings back fond memories of our lovely time at your villa.   This will be a sweet treat for your next vacation. I don’t normally write reviews but I seriously struggled to find fault with this Villa. The Villa was extremely clean and well maintained with all new appliances and upgrades. What you see is what you get and you will be very pleased at how lovely everything is decorated and put together. The Villa comes fully equipped with a nice kitchen that includes everything you need to prepare meals, two lovely bathrooms and a large walk-in closet. There were even paperback books available for beach reading! We made use of the snorkels for beach trips and enjoyed being picked up, by a boat, for our reef snorkelling trip, 30 meters from our front door. We never used the air conditioning, but always kept the sliding doors open to let the breezes in. The ceiling fans made it more than comfortable. The massages at the Villa were fantastic and strong, they made every night’s sleep a blissful event. The mattress was so comfortable, my husband had to take a peek at the label so we can buy the same one when it's time. The Villa was conveniently located close to shops, beaches and restaurants. Romantic dinners were held every night for a pittance. The owner was very helpful and always responded quickly to answer questions and provide suggestions for daily tourist activities. The information provided at the time of booking, helped us make plans for what we wanted to do, even before arriving. The Villa's great location made driving around that much easier. I recommend the Hot Springs and White Sands Beach for tour trips; the volcano, Bali Safari Park and Water Temple are also a great adventure. Next time we have decided we will go Scuba Diving as we are told there are several sea wrecks worth seeing The staff are what make this Villa truly special. Budi and Pleo ensure 5 star standards are met. The Villa is immaculately clean and the free water provided was a refreshing touch. We spent alot of time with Budi, he made our various trips so interesting, his knowledge of traditional ways made our trip to Bali truly magical. We aim to come back to the Villa as Budi and Pleo make your stay 5 star from morning to night. We have been recommending this place to all our friends. Many Thanks for your great service from the booking process to the end of our stay. We will be back: Great Value for Money.

  My wife and I made this the initial destination for our honeymoon in Southeast Asia. It was exactly as advertised and reviewed on their website. It was pure bliss, restful and very enjoyable. Budi and Playo were exceptionally gracious hosts, even accommodating our desire for a different breakfast than the norm. Budi took us wherever we wanted to go, including a nearby city, the rice fields, artisan community, White Sand Beach and his native village. The restaurants were so inviting, as they provided free taxi service there and back, although all were within a reasonable walking distance. We especially liked Rendevous for lunch on the water. The gracious infinity pool at the edge of the ocean is about a 30 second walk from the private villa, give the best of both worlds. At the risk of this secret gem becoming more popular, we have been telling everyone about the Honeymoon Villa. It truly is like a dream. Thank you for providing such a wonderful to start our honeymoon vacation!

  My wife & I stayed in the Honeymoon Villa in May 2011. We had an excellent time, the arrangements all went very smoothly. Budi & Playo looked after us very well. The accommodation really is 5 star, very relaxing. The local restaurants are also excellent, particularly La Rouge, Vincents & the Water Garden You don't have to be 55+ to enjoy relaxing in nice surroundings. Budi will show you the sights which appeal to you or leave you to relax.

  Thanks for making our stay so wonderful, the villa was so beautiful and relaxing, great pool, very clean gorgeous bathrooms and the boys were great, they provided what ever we asked for when ever we called. Will be back to stay again Candi Dasa is the place to stay away from all the traffic and mayhem of Kuta and has everything you need with many attractions near by.   My wife and I had a fabulous honeymoon here at Candi Dasa! The property is lush. Very clean and stylishly decorated. Spacious and practically designed with an outside shower area if you are just coming out of the pool. Great TV and DVD set up if you want to chill and stay in and a very helpful guy at hand called Budi who will take you on day trips if you wish. Budi's knowledge of the local area is great. He is very chilled and advises with no agenda other than for you to have a good time. Internet connection was great too. We were unable to have the appartment for two of the nights but the owner sorted out an alternative for us on the same site which went way above and beyond. Very easy to contact and make arrangements and very friendly. We would both recommend this property without hesitation. It was exactly what we expected.

  We checked in at this lovely location on January 4th, around 7 30 pm. My initial reaction was - This villa is gorgeous but the surroundings are way too isolated. The first night we didn't see anybody around and I was initially spooked out a bit. But the next morning went we went for breakfast to the cafe we saw many people and that kind of lessened my anxiety. The view from the cafe in the day time is surely the USP of the entire Bali Santi property. While eating breakfast the view from the cafe is pure bliss. The villa is awesome and every smallest detail is planned. The owner Jennifer has also kept different brands of sunscreen in case you forget to get yours. The outdoor bathroom is great. Although I would recommend one look up to make sure no one is removing coconuts from trees before you get down to your basics. The lighting in the villa is very subtle and romantic. Just what you need on a break like this. The USP of the villa is the private pool with sunbeds. With a depth of about 4.5 feet you don't have to worry about not knowing how to swim either. On the whole, I would give the villa a 9.8/10. You must try Vincents restaurant in Candi dasa. We went there about 3 times during our week stay. Budi and Playo are very helpful, Budi especially. Budi took us around and told us the local history about many of the places. Kintamani volcano and its surroundings are absolutely breath taking. Although we were not very impressed by the buffet lunch we got served at the restaurant near the volcano. One location I would really recommend to people is Dreamland beach near Nusa Dua. You will really get to see the bluest of the blue waters there. Absolutely fantastic. A big thanks to Jennifer for coordinating everything and for Budi to making our trip a memorable one.   My wife and I stayed at the villa for 3 weeks spanning the Christmas period as a chill out stop in our round the world trip of a life time. The pictures of the villa only just do it justice. Everything is supplied and is impeccably maintained by Bhudi and Playo who looked after our every need with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Playo's scrambled eggs and bacon are the best! Whilst enjoying the five star accommodation we have also enjoyed this beautiful unspoilt part of Bali where the local fascinating and colorful culture continues to be such a strong influence on the everyday lives of the local people who, we have to say are delightful in every way. We both feel we have been privileged to have enjoyed such an insight into their life style. Be sure to visit Tenganan, Ubud, the While Sand Beach and Kintamani to see the volcano and enjoy lunch at the restaurant recommended by Bhudi. We would endorse the other reviewers opinions on the local eating establishments - a good choice and good prices - enjoy!

  Having just returned home after 5 nights in Bali Honeymoon Villa, I would strongly recommend it as a honeymoon destination,, or just a place to relax for that special holiday. The best feature was the space and privacy in the villa. The staff were excellent, villa was spotless and everything as new. Location was prefect - few minutes walk to a large variety of restaurants and shops.

  Just completed two weeks in the villa, and it was fantastic. The pictures above make the villa look nice, but they don't do it justice, it is amazing. Budi and Playo are very attentive and will meet all your needs, Budi also has fantastic knowledge of the island and is a great tour guide. Candidasa is a lovely village, very relaxed but also has everything you need and some fantastic resteraunts (We found Toke and Joglo the best). There are also several souveniour shops selling lots of little handicrafts for reasonable prices. The local 'White Sand Beach' is also amazing, crystal clear waters and we swam out to a lovely coral area complete with thousands of fish. Budi's village is also a great visit, has some amazing woven fabrics. Another visit which was only around one hour drive was the safari park, where we rode elephants and saw lots of amazing animals, a very nice day out.   Absolutely everything about this property is wonderful! When we arrived it was even better than the pictures - a completely enclosed, tropical garden, totally private, blue lights through the pool, water running from a fountain, low level lights around the garden and Playo, waiting for us with a welcome drink. Budi had already picked us up from the airport, made us feel really welcome and then tolerated us falling asleep in the back of the car following our 28 hour journey to get here - which was totally worth it! The villa has everything you could possibly want in terms of home comforts - and then more. Budi and Playo keep it spotlessly clean, and are always available to help with anything. Budi suggested various places to visit, and then arranged the car and was our driver whenever we wanted - but also made the trips really enjoyable as he explained about his culture, the island and so on - it was like being shown around by a friend. The owner wrote to us ftequently before we left, not pushing, just to make sure that everything we wanted or hoped for would be on hand, and also wrote while we were at the villa to double check everything was fine. We went diving while we were here - and can recommend the Shangrila Dive Center - really friendly, very professional and a great dive guide in Wayan. Candidasa is well positioned for seeing interesting places, it is a small village/town, with a number of good restaurants (Toke, Vincents, Le 48, Water Garden just a few of them) However, if you want the high life - late night drinking, clubs, lots of people, then it's not for you - most places are closing up by 10.30pm. If you want to drink in your own villa (spirits/wine) then you need to bring some with you - you can buy spirits but not in many places and they have huge import duty on them. The villa itself is just on the outskirts of Candidasa - which we liked - we enjoyed the walk in and out of the center, and if we didn't feel like walking, there are taxis everytwhere, which are really cheap, with helpful drivers. You can probably tell, we loved it here, and could keep on going, talking about it - nothing to fault!

  My fiancée and I thought we would get in a little before our honeymoon and try the accommodation at HoneyMoon Villa Bali. We chose the premises because it had been recommended to us by a friend who had stayed here. We were met at the airport by Budi, who was our tour guide for the week. Budi and Playo are young local Balinese men, who where courteous, professional and made our time at the villa special. They ensured we had everything we needed and organized our trips around the island. Both men are from local villages. The villa is outstanding. It is an oasis which provides seclusion and privacy in gorgeous and immaculate settings. It is just a short walk to the ocean and a short walk to dozens of excellent local restaurants and shops. The pictures on the website don’t do the villa justice. It is incredible. We had an outstanding 8 day trip and cannot wait to come back to the villa again.   My husband and I spent two weeks at the Villa and absolutely LOVED it! Everything was as advertised and Budi and Playo were great! Budi was wonderful with us, (even though we had NO idea where we wanted to go) he took us to some really great places and some that were not so "touristy" ,which we loved. You can't help but enjoy yourself here, it's a paradise and we'll definately return again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!

  The villa proved to be just like the photos and the other reviews - excellent. We had a lovely, comfortable stay and such attention to detail; especially enjoyed the outside shower! Budi took us on some great trips and was extremely helpful and discreet. Some very good restaurants within walking distance although some dodgy pavements, typical of Bali! We moved on to 2 other centres but the east has a charm of its own and well worth experiencing. A great spot for a holiday and to be recommended.

  As first timers to Bali we could not experience better introduction than via our stay in Honeymoon Villa in Candi Dasa. We are so happy we decided to throw away the initial plans to stay in holiday resorts or boutique hotels as your seamless holiday concept is much better. The villa is extremely comfortable thanks to new furniture and equipment, with ideal design for a couple and very nicely decorated - so important if you are on holiday. What makes real difference is Budi and Playo - what a fantastic and nice people! Both of them always positive and willing to help to make our stay truly wonderful. We have spent a lot time with Budi on tours and enjoyed it very much. We appreciated his local knowledge and willingness to show us as much as possible - having a personal driver makes a lot difference to your holiday. Jerry, Budi and Playo, thank you very much to all 3 of you, this was really an amazing experience and we will more than happy to come again in the future! Ondrej and Monika

  Hi Jerry We arrived back in Sydney on Friday morning and took a couple of days to adjust to reality. What a fantastic experience you have created in Candi Dasa! It turned out to be far better than we imagined with Budi and Playo being a great team at looking after us and making us feel completely relaxed and pampered. Budi was exceptional and is key to the success of our first stay in Bali. The attention to detail in the villa is complimentary to your obvious good taste. We have travelled extensively and our Bali experience is certainly amongst the best. Very simply we had a ball! We will happily recommend Honeymoon Villa and we will certainly be back. This looks like sometime out of a magazine. The villa is so nice so clean and comfortable. The decorating is the best. I have stayed in many five star hotels and this is the best of the best. The garden and the pool is beautiful but the lighting in the garden at night is so very romantic. We loved to lie on the sun beds at night and look at the stars and watch coconut palms sway in the ocean breeze. The gazebo is very comfortable with the cold beers at the reach of your hand. But once again inside the villa was more than I expected. Detail to everything was so present. This is the third time I have been in Bali and so glad we pick Candi Dasa to stay this time. We loved the village and wonderful restaurants. Candi Dasa and the Honeymoon Villa is the place to stay in Bali. Budi, your driving and tours were the best and you are such a gentleman. Playo, you are so sweet and you made us feel so very special. To you both of you we say, thank you, thank you, and thank you. We will be back. This was a holiday villa to remember. We are really enjoying it, very beautiful place and I really enjoy the kitchen. The view from the restaurant is very special. Our stay here is wonderful. I totally understand why you told to me via phone that you felt in love with this place, I totally understand. If I and my family are moving to Singapore, not yet sure, we already decided this place here could also be our getaway. It is far enough from the busy, partying people and closes enough to the airport ;-). The staff Budi and Nengah are very friendly people and they are doing a very good job. You are lucky you have found very good people working for you ;-). Yesterday we also got the possibility to meet Budis family, very friendly people; we had some "Babi Guling" there. Also with the Candi Bakery we are very lucky, we enjoyed a very good German "sauerkraut", "Leberkäse" and the "Bretzel". After not having German food for some month this was a happening for us. The staff made it a perfect stay, and was eager to take care of all of my needs.......even arranged for delivery of breakfast at the villa. From the time that I arrived at the airport to the time when I left, I was pampered by the staff. Every day for one week Budy took me different places so that I could see everything. Really made it a nice experience. Staying in this villa is everything that you could ask for.......and a great place to relax. So nice, you won't want to leave. I plan on going back and staying at Honeymoon Villa.

  I'd introduce the place I've been staying awhile while I am in Bali. There is very beautiful view, quiet and nice atmosphere. Full options with an accommodation in the villa. If you still finding a nice place to stay in Bali, I'd recommend here The Villa Bale in Candi Dasa. You will not be disappointed.
