This house has everything you could need for a great holiday for couples, a family or a group of golfers. Brett has included all the equipment and accessories you could think of and the house itself is quite spectacular. Great cooking facilities, a super media room with BIG sound, and nice decks for warm weather. Highly recommend and Brett was a gracious and thorough host.

My friends and I just left Bandon yesterday and cannot wait to go back. This was our second stay at this property and once again we had a wonderful time. A great deal of thought and detail is obvious from the moment you arrive on the property. Beautiful designer touches throughout the interior and exterior from the gormet kitchen to the luxury linens in each bedroom to the water features. The media room rocks! Its like having your own movie theater - there is event a real popcorn machine! The location is convenient and quiet. Beaches and downtown are minutes away. I highly recommend your next stay be here! After having a beautiful wedding on the beach, my husband and I spent an incredible week in the Bandon House. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of how perfect the house was for one of the most memorable events in our lives. We couldn't have asked for more. The house is completely stocked with everything we could have needed. From morning coffee on one of the balconies, to a quiet evening watching a movie in the theater, we felt spoiled. The only difficult time we came across was leaving this amazing home. Thank you for a wonderful week!

I highly recommend the Bandon House for a stay while in the area. The house is extremely comfortable with all the amenities imaginable. It is a true show piece, and Brett is a terrific host and extremely helpful with information regarding the area. Our three night stay was for a golf trip to the Bandon Dunes Resort. The house is only 15 minutes from the resort, and very convenient. Also very close to Old Town Bandon. Will definitely stay at Bandon House on our next trip out to the area!

My two sons-in-law, my son and I arrived at Bandon House to find lodging beyond our wildest dreams. Gourmet kitchen, individual spacious bedrooms with Jaccuzzis, professionally-equipped theater, pool table, gas grills, all in a private and quiet forest setting. What more could four guys want, returning each day from another devious Bandon golf course? This house made a dream golf trip perfect. With Bandon Dunes Golf Resort only a few miles away, this is a much better choice than Bandon's lodges.

My husband and I rented this house to celebrate his 40th birthday. It FAR exceeded our expections. The house is very well stocked with everything from spices to laundry soap. The bedding was super cozy, very comfortable beds. Our favorite was the theatre....watching movies in there was truely like being at the movies. Loved all the comfy throw blankets throughout the house. The steam shower was bliss. Definately worth the 9 hour drive! Brett, thank you for being a wonderful host!

In January of this year, we were delighted when the opportunity of an unexpected coastal visit presented itself. We are from Portland and we were looking for a last minute vacation rental, when we discovered the most pleasant, Bandon House. Let me say the house is immaculate, but the innkeeper, Brett was more than accommodating. He went out of his way to cater to our needs and wants. The Bandon House is awe inspiring. From the moment you drive up to the portcochere, (very fitting for Oregon's rainy season), until you walk into the front doors, and see the custom lighting and custom douglas fir woodwork, you know you are in for a lavish experience. We utilized the spacious gourmet kitchen with all of the finest amenities, including the outdoor kitchen. The master suite has a private deck along with a two person spa tub and a steam shower. There are three additional commodious bedrooms and a private theater with a 105" screen. Every room was carefully thought out and planned with every luxury in mind. If you are planning on visiting beautiful Bandon by the sea any time soon, you would not be disappointed to have Brett and the Bandon House take care of all your lodging needs.

I had a friend stay here previously. He highly recommended the home. Expectations where high.....The property exceeded those expectations. As my group said, "the pictures don't do it justice". We used this home for 8 guys on a three day golf trip to Bandon Dunes. Great home. Great amenities. 100% will plan to rent this home again in the future. Perfect place.

The place is great and better in person that it looks online. Close to everything, including a beatiful State Park beach 2 miles away with parking. The rooms are spacious and it has everything you will be looking for a nice week or weekend away in Oregon. Recommend for sure.

Great Family Time

We had 11 people at the house most of the long weekend for our annual "mini family reunion". The house was so comfortable for our group. Senior members of the family had lots of comfy seating and warm throws to snuggle in while other were ablel to go to the nearby golf course for an afternoon outdoors. The kitchen is like heaven and easy for several of us to work at the same time for all of us to sit down to meals together. Brett is the perfect host and so responsive with assistance whenever needed. We look forward to a return visit next year.

Eight guys on a weekend golf trip stayed here and it was so amazing when we walked in, we literally walked around the house for an hour trying to figure out which room to hang out in, because they were all so cool! The popcorn machine in the movie room was great, and the steamer in the master bathroom definitely got used after 72 holes of golf! We'd love to come back in the summer and use that outdoor kitchen!

I was in awe of this beautiful property and equally beautiful home. I literally kept walking around the house saying, "no way, this is just amazing." Everything was perfect. The owner, Brett, was one of the nicest, most helpful and competent people I have ever met. My sister is in a wheelchair, and in no time he revamped the bed to suit her and built and installed a ramp at the front door. You just have to go there, it deserves to be experienced, not described. The pictures are accurate, but really, the place is just over the top fantastic!! You will not be disappointed.

Our best HomeAway experience yet! Everything in this home is beautifully designed, well-constructed and perfectly maintained. Even the most demanding traveler will find this unique home a treasure. Every detail is a delight: the tastefully lighted driveway, stylish portico, hotel-like entryway, barbeque area, common areas, bedrooms and baths, and a fabulous projection room. The owner and builder, Brett, was the perfect innkeeper. He communicated promptly and accurately and met us at the property for a tour. I am in a wheelchair, and Brett made accommodations for me without hesitation. He even built a ramp to the front door for my use. One of our party is a golfer and she loved the Bandon Dunes golf courses which are within an easy 15 minute drive. We enjoyed relaxing, cooking, and marveling at the beauty of the home. The only outing we took was to the little Wild Animal Park down the road. We enjoyed holding baby lions, a tiger and a leopard. The home is a little hard to find from the highway the first time. Follow Brett's directions carefully and you will find a home to which you will want to return often. You will not be disappointed.

Fall 2010 Trip to the Southern Oregon Coast

We greatly enjoyed our 10 day trip to Bandon, in no small part due to the excellent experience at the "Pleasanton". This is an immaculate high end resort equivalent accommadation which exceeds even the high expectations you get when looking at the web site photos. All appointments and appliance are high end without exception and the property is maintained to professional standards. It is idealy situated to the world class Bandon Dunes golf course and the breath taking scenery of the southern Oregon coast. We utilized the Pleasanton as our base for exploring the area. We were easily able to get the Red Wood Forest in California and back in a day. We have recommended the Pleasanton to our golfing friends and hope to return ourselves. Thanks for everything Brett!!

The Pleasanton was an exceptional rental home with every amenity imaginable! We were there to host the wedding of our son and his fiance with both immediate families staying in the home. All of us were extremely impressed with the home and all of its features. The home and surrounding grounds were not only well kept and clean, but very beautiful and well decorated. I think we all took advantage of everything the home had to offer, right down to the formal wedding dinner as the home had everything we needed to make it happen. We had a great time and the beach wedding turned out beautiful, the weather was warm and we had mostly blue skies. Brett was very accommodating and was available any time we needed him. This is without a doubt our families most favorite vacation home at which we have stayed. The house is literally your own private top end resort. We quit staying in hotels for family vacations years ago and I can tell you this property is just a gem and Brett is a fantastic property owner! If you need anything, he is there to help. The grounds are spacious with lush gardens and private covered balconies off most rooms of the house so you can step out into the forest. We spent hours entertained in the home theater which even has its own theater style popcorn machine! We loved creating tasty meals and incredilbe treats in the gourmet kitchen. It is equiped with top end Electrolux and Subzero appliances and as you can imagine, Brett has every gadget needed in the kitchen ready for you to enjoy! This kitchen is a chef's dream! The spacious dinning room is equiped with a gas burning fireplace and flat panel TV. The great room has floor to ceiling windows that bring the illusion of the forest right into the house. Each bedroom has it's own attached bathroom, a perfect set up for guest privacy. The Master retreat is over-the-top with a jacuzzi tub and steam shower. We didn't want to leave this fabulously equiped home...ever so we extended our stay! And we will definetly be back real soon!

The truth is that this property is wonderful. The images do depict what the home looks like, but once inside, the actual spaces are so much better! The two-dimensional photos cannot adequately convey incredible 3-D aspects, or the *feelings* we experience when actually occupying these marvelous, spacious, tasteful, restful and playful spaces. The home's many custom systems are great, before our arrival I couldn't fully imagine how custom ceilings, lighting systems and whole house music can add to the experience of living here, until we did it. I read the kitchen was stocked, but just how well stocked the professional kitchen is, amazing. Nothing has been overlooked, and everything is topnotch! My husband and I planned to stay for two weeks starting in early December 2009. That was simply not enough, we had to stay on longer! We are glad we were able to. Let me tell you that those comforting heated floors throughout the home are a blessing, as our stay was during several of the rare subfreezing days in Bandon's history! The responsiveness and suggestions provided by Brett Johnson were very welcome. Once you stay here, you won't want to leave either! From the moment that my wife and I drove up the drive to The Pleasanton we knew that we were in for a wonderful weekend. Walking into the entry was like walking into the pages a a fabulous feature in Architectual Digest. Two of the couples that shared the weekend with us made the same comment. The third couple was equally impressed. Though all areas of the home are great places to hang out, it was the indoor professional kitchen and the attached outdoor one was the place that we four couples tended to gravitate to. That is if we were not in the home theater with its extensive library of movies. We had a weekend that was beyond our wildest expectations.

I wanted something very special for my daughter's surprise 16th birthday party. I rented this home for 1 night and needless to say nobody wanted to leave the next day. This home was above and beyond what I had expected. It was the perfect house! What a spectacular place for a party!! The theater room was incredible, and yes we actually felt the rumble of the floor beneath us with the sounds of the movie. Beds were very comfortable. Kids not only loved the theater room but also the recreation room downstairs with the pool table and big screen T.V. The flow of the dining room, kitchen, and outdoor kitchen is fabulous for entertaining, and great for accommodating large crowds. We all had a magical stay at the Pleasanton. We have stayed in over 50 VRBO homes and this was the best one by far!! We have never seen such a well equiped kitchen and the beds were luxurious. We felt like we were in our own little world and we loved every minute of it.We loved the solitude so much that we didn't even use the incredible theatre room. We have stayed in over 50 VRBO homes and this was the best one by far!! We have never seen such a well equiped kitchen and the beds were luxurious. We felt like we were in our own little world and we loved every minute of it.We loved the solitude so much that we didn't even use the incredible theatre room. Our stay in this beautiful home was 7 days. The children were visiting from Chicago and we wanted something special. Indeed, this is a special place with plenty of room and privacy. No modern conveniences and pleasures were missed when this house was built. The movie theater is incredible with real movie theater popcorn! We spent much time there. We thank our gracious host Brett who was very accommodating and considerate in helping to make our stay a memorable one.

Overlooking the lovely lily pond with wildlife and falling asleep to the sounds of nature, just one of the many amenities. Our stay in this beautiful home was 7 days. The children were visiting from Chicago and we wanted something special. Indeed, this is a special place with plenty of room and privacy. No modern conveniences and pleasures were missed when this house was built. The movie theater is incredible with real movie theater popcorn! We spent much time there. We thank our gracious host Brett who was very accommodating and considerate in helping to make our stay a memorable one.
