My girlfriend and I enjoyed an amazing vacation here for 6 nights. Sue was very accommodating and accurate with her help and description of the place. PROS: Fully stocked kitchen Lots of beds and chairs Lots of lawn furniture to enjoy in the large grassy backyard or on the sand Swam with turtles right in front of property (amazing experience) Very private even with a couple of neighbors sharing the lot (different building) Even the front yard was beautiful! Consistent hot water in the shower Shower tap broke and gushed hot water however Sue's husband was there to fix the problem within minutes Strong WIFI that could reach the sands on the beach (barely) Outdoor shower No need for A/C. All windows open cool the place nicely Great king size bed with amazing view of beach! Washing machine (free) came in very handy Great value! Close to Polynesian Center House far enough from hwy, road noise not noticed Lots of room for parking CONS: Could use a full length mirror Old building which seems to be starting to fall apart (although well furnished and decorated) Some ants in the building (issue with all properties in the area), just keep your dry food in fridge Amazing sandy beach to stroll left and right down The outdoor grill was essentially not functional Bathroom layout does not allow a mirror over top of sink (tough for shaving lol) Overall I wouldn't hesitate to return for our next trip!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our family of 4 (2 teens) rented this cottage last spring. It was recommended by some friends and we couldn't have been happier. Clean, cute, close. Amazing view from the bed, wifi access, close to stores, laundry right outside the door, beautiful beach, kayaks to rent 5 (?) doors down, close to restaurants (shrimp places just down the road). Manager was awesome, and just a walk down the road. Turns out our friends are returning this fall...it must be great value! Also recommend a trip to the LDS Temple Visitors Centre. Nice people with lots of good info, including local tips.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

We stayed here for a week in February 2011. The location, right on quiet and scenic Hukilau Beach, could not have been better for us. Every morning, we'd grab a cup of coffee, head out the back door and down to the beach, then we'd stroll down the beach while we watched the sunrise. The house itself was quite small and cozy. It's not luxurious by any means, but very comfortable and it had everything we needed. Essentially it's like a large studio with one large bed and several daybeds. The view from the large bed and that area are gorgeous - just look out and there's the gorgeous turquoise water. We loved our stay here and can't wait to return someday!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My wife and I recently rented this property for a week as part of our honeymoon in Oahu. We couldn't have been more pleased with this rental!!!! Waking up each morning with the ocean in front of the bedroom windows was awesome!! The private beach access was great, there were turtles feeding in front of the house every day! I was also very pleased with the house manager. She was in contact if we needed anything but, left us our privacy while honeymooning. There are shops close by but, if you need groceries, it is worth the 2 mile drive down the road in order to save some cash. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone. My brother may rent it soon and I expect to be returning in the future. This house is aslo very cost effective. I spent nearly as much money in Waikiki in two days as I spent on the North Shore in a week!!!!! Hope this helped you out, Ben and LindseyRecommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This quiet, private, cool and comfortable cottage was perfect for our getaway. We think this is one of the best beaches on Oahu, and certainly one of the quietest and more peaceful towns. The surf at Laie Bay beach was fun and around the bend on the North shore the water was flat for snorkeling. Turtles hang out just offshore from the cottage every afternoon. Perfection!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1980
About the owner: We strive to keep the place extremely clean and tidy to make sure our guests are comfortable. We live a few houses down from the cottage and are available if you need anything.
Why the Owner Chose Laie:
Laie is a very beautiful town with pristine beaches away from the crowded Waikiki resort areas. You can enjoy snorkeling, fishing, surfing, and long walks on the empty beach right in the backyard. This is the Hawaii people thought didn't exist any longer after the large resorts took over the islands.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our property is directly on a secluded beach that gets beautiful sunrise and sunsets due to it's location. Private, secure, with private parking , and a fenced front yard. There is a small Island you can walk out to during low tide
