Casa Caballito del Mar (Home of the Seahorse)
A beautifully designed brand new 3 bedroom Casa with separate guest casita within a private enclosed courtyard. Balinese and resort style living with the highest quality furniture and furnishings. The property is on an 11,000 sq ft lot, located on the 7th hole of Paraiso del Mar's championship golf course, 4 houses off a private beach on El Mogote peninsula in the Sea of Cortez. From La Paz City, guests will take a 10 minute electric ferry boat ride to cross the La Paz bay to reach the private development.
The house has all the upgrades including wall to wall travertine floors and bathrooms, large chef's kitchen and island with stainless steel appliances, Satellite TV in Great Room and High speed internet available in all rooms. The owner personally designed each room with care and style, colors of nature and ocean. There is a large veranda in the back yard made of natural stone with a lounge area and yoga/meditation platform and palapa, fire pit and outdoor dining which overlooks the golf course with a view of the beach and ocean.
The property is located on Paraiso Del Mar, a beautiful five star resort development on the El Mogote Peninsula in the Sea of Cortez. It features a championship golf course designed by Arthur Hills, who is one of the most experienced, highly regarded golf course architects in the world. The ocean just about completely surrounds Paraiso del Mar providing over five miles of beach, mangroves and stunning desert wild life. To preserve the wild dunes that buffer the beaches and provide a delightful beachfront trail, the developer has doubled the usual setbacks.
The beach offers so many choices for pure enjoyment: with calm water ocean to swim in, fly fishing from a kayak or from the beach, sailing, snorkeling, sea kayaking, shelling, or just relaxing with a cool drink at the beach club while watching the children frolic in the gentle surf. And sunrise or sunset beach strolls afford spectacular unforgettable views.
The Sea of Cortez is the "Aquarium of the World" named by Jacque Cousteau, with over 900 islands. Just off the island's north shore, at Los Islotes, you'll find rocky islets that provide a home for a thriving sea lion colony. And they seem to enjoy swimming with people!
A number of experienced outfitters provide daily excursions into the watery playground that surrounds Paraiso del Mar. The best options include snorkeling, scuba diving, sea kayaking, whale watching and sport fishing.

Why the Owner Chose La Paz
I fell in love with the natural surroundings of La Paz and the people. Love the fact that you are in such natural beauty but has the comforts and amenities of a large city (Sam's Club and Walmart!). Espiritu Santo Isla is my favorite island in the Sea of Cortez and it is just one hour boat ride away from my Casa. I am an ocean and environmental advocate. Clean and Green living is what I strive for. Casa Caballito (the name of my house) has been created for my family's enjoyment and resort lifestyle.

Championship golf course, private 5 mile beach, pool, kayaking, amazing marine life, and peace and quiet. A 3 bedroom house with a separate guest house (Casita) in an enclosed courtyard with a huge backyard veranda with outside dining, meditation/yoga platform, chaise lounges, and a gas fire pit. Access to private boats from small pangas to huge yachts. My favorite captain is Joel who will pick you up beachfront in a small fishing boat and take you out to Espiritu Santo, Los Islotes for fishing, scuba diving or snorkeling with the sea lions and whale sharks!

My family (husband George and teenage son Cody) and I have been visiting La Paz for the past 5 years and we very much enjoy the ocean and natural surroundings. I am an environmental advocate and an avid stand up paddle surf boarder. This is my second home and is also used by my patients for my health and wellness retreats. I plan to retire here in the future.
