Our romantic log cabin (known by our grandkids as "The Magic Cabin") is nestled on the Chalk Creek in the San Isabel National Forest. Gorgeous views of Mt. Antero from the front porch, hot tub and creek view from the back deck. Feed the chipmunks and watch the dance of hummingbirds as you relax with the fresh air and the songs of the wind rustling through the aspens and pines. Hike Raspberry Gulch or the old railroad bed and fish for trout in the creek or swim at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs just up the road. If you tire of reading and enjoying nature, plan a trip horseback riding at Harvard Stables, or whitewater rafting or rent ATVs in St. Elmo. Fix dinner in our well stocked kitchen or grill your catch of the day on the gas grill. After a day of adventures return home to a relaxing fire, soak in the hot tub and a comfortable bed!
The master bedroom and bathroom (with steam shower) are on the ground floor. The loft above the master bedroom holds 2 twin beds. The private room upstairs holds a queen bed and private sink. 2 more queen beds in the "family room" at the top of the stairs share a sink. The shared WC holds a shower/bathtub and a toilet with a view!
