This charming hide-away has true Vermont flavor inside and out. Nestled into a wooded mountain above the White River just off Route 100, you are only a few miles from the Green Mountain Golf Course to the south, and Neshobe golf course to the north. Guests use the newly re-surfaced tennis court and parking near the White River to fish, swim or picnic. Pedal to the neighboring towns or mountain bike the trails of nearby Killington Mountain. There is lots of hiking ( the Long Trail is about 15-20 minutes away ), or enjoy the privacy of the covered deck to relax, or BBQ on the large stainless steel gas grill.
In the winter months, ski at nearby Killington Ski Resort, or neighboring Pico Mountain. A 45 minute to hour drive north up Route 100 brings you to Sugar Bush or Mad River Glen. Downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snow boarding, and snow shoeing are among the many winter activities to enjoy.
The house features a large fieldstone fireplace and cathedral ceiling living room with hardwood floors and pine trim throughout. Lovely views come through the sliding doors off the dining room, leading to the covered deck. More views shine through the large wood beamed atrium off the living room, and another atrium up in the master suite. The roomy kitchen and nearby wet bar have all you will need to entertain or serve family meals on the large ding room table.
The 4 bedrooms sleep up to 10 people, with an queen sofa bed that can accommodate 2 more. The master suite has a king size bed, private bath, and sauna. There are 3 bedrooms on the lower level featuring one double bed, one bunk, and one with double bunks. The full bath and half bath with full size washer and dryer finish off the lower level.
