Casa Mariposa (the Butterfly House) is so named for all of the colorful butterflies that inhabit the gardens of this brand new 4 bedroom home in The Residences, on the new Robert Trent Jones Junior Designed 27 Hole course which is due to open in September 2009. This wonderful 2 storey home boasts 4 large bedrooms all with views over the pool to the natural gardens and the fairway beyond. All bedrooms have dressing rooms, ensuite bathrooms with showers, and sliding doors leading onto the terraces.
Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen, spacious dining area, and comfortable living area, all with large sliding doors leading out to the poolside and the beautifully landscaped gardens. Outside there is also very pleasant outdoor living area with sofas, coffee tables, and a BBQ grill. The pool area runs almost the length of the property and also features a fabulous spa pool for relaxing and letting your cares melt away.
In the construction of this property, the developers have been careful to retain as much of the original Selva Maya flora and fauna as possible. This property features a lovely wooded area between the gardens and the golf course retaining many species of indigenous trees and plants. This also gives the pool area and gardens a certain amount of privacy from golfers on the fairway, whilst still allowing guests some view of the course. The owners have had scenic paths laid amongst the trees and have hung comfortable hammocks in the shade. The perfect place for an afternoon snooze or to enjoy a good book!
Casa Mariposa is located only a few minutes walk from the brand new club house which is due to be completed in the autumn of 2009. The club house will house a restaurant, spa, pro shop and will also provide regular transportation down to the main resort complex at Bahia Principe. Guests at Casa Mariposa are entitled to up to 50% discounts on green fees and golf rentals; and up to 35% discounts on the all inclusive resort passes to enjoy the beach clubs, the restaurants, and the evening entertainment.
The new golf course is scheduled to open in the Autumn of 2009 and consists of a Robert Trent Jones Junior Designed 27 Hole course including 9 Hole Par 3 course. Call me for more information. The brand new Robert Trent Jones Junior Designed 27 Hole golf course is at the bottom of the garden with the club house only a couple of minutes walk from Casa Mariposa with spa, restaurant, and golf pro shop. There is also the Bahia Principe resort and beach club a short complimentary trolley ride away if we fancy going to the beach, doing some shopping, or watching the evening shows.
