Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2005

My name is Amy Cochran. My husband Chris and I love spending our free time at Lake Bomoseen, Vermont. I don't know of any other lake where you can throw in a fishing pole, and everyone catches a fish! We have 3 children, 2 boys ages 22 and 20, and a daughter 16 and they love bringing their friends to the house. We love pets and enjoy traveling with our dog Snowy, so I do allow pets with approval. I hope if you rent, you will have as much fun and great experiences on Lake Bomoseen as we have had.

Why the Owner Chose Bomoseen

We used to live outside Saratoga Springs, NY on a farm and friends had a vacation home on the lake. We would drive around the lake in their party boat looking at all the homes, and dreaming of owning one too. When I would drive up from upstate New York, as soon as I make the turn onto the final two miles and the lake comes into view, I feel like I am in a totally different peaceful place.

The Unique Benefits of this House

The lake is never crowded, and with the mountains surrounding it, it is just an unbelievable setting. Yet, we are never bored there. There is fishing, tubing/waterskiing, biking, kayaking, hiking and s'mores around the fire at night. In the winter - ice fishing, cross country and downhill skiing. Last visit, I brought three books, and never got to finish one!
