This home is fantastic. Like the other reviews stated the pictures of this house are an exact representation of how wonderful this site is. I would recommend the house as well as the location. The home is literally minutes from the Grocery/liquor store as well as plenty of restaurants. I would recommend Lazy Days and Mamma's Fish Camp. We did not have a chance to hit MM 88 Rest. However, it was crowded every day. For the boaters and fisherman, this house has all that you need. Step out the back door walk past the pool and you are in your boat! We had a 28 Ft CC Contender the whole week. The dock is perfect with plenty of space. Hose and plenty of area to clean your gear. Bay access is right down the canal. Once you leave the neighborhood canal you literally can see Tavernier Creek channel (path to the Atlantic side). Idle to 5ft depth and open it up. You can be Oceanside in 20mins including no wake zones (which are beautiful anyway). Bait/Gas/Beer in Tavernier Creek as well. Disclaimer: This review is for avid boaters only that can follow channel markers etc. :-) If you know what you're doing, it is really no big deal. That was one of my questions prior to the trip. The owner helped me out and was completely accurate with what he told me. Follow the channels and you're good! Best Regards

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with family. Our group of 10 had plenty of room to spread out, and the perfect kitchen for family cooking and long dinners around the table. We all love to fish and took advantage of the ideal location and referrals to great captains Lee and Johnny. We caught enough Mahi, Redfish, Seatrout, Tuna and Amberjack for the whole week and then some. Our youngest son caught his dream snook. The grill was perfect; the pool heavenly and the beds the best ever. We enjoyed the nice family neighborhood and daily walks around the area. Thanks for a wonderful week of memories!

Now that we are back to reality I wanted to take a minute and tell you what a beautiful home you have. I say home because that's how it felt, not just a house but a home. Back when we were deciding on a place to stay during our vacation we looked at so many beautiful houses but when we walked into Summer Breeze we knew we picked the right one. We had such a wonderful time and we want to thank you again. PS. Tom was great also, anytime we had a question or needed some suggestions he was easily available. Great guy to have looking over your home.

My family rented this wonderful home from Mark for a 10 day stay in January 2013. Everything in this home is as advertised or better! The property is truly top notch. All the finishes and appliances in the house are high end, the bedding and towels are nice, the pool and hot tub are fantastic, and the TV, electronics and sound system are great. After staying at 3 other homes in the middle/upper keys over the past 5 years, this was truly the best yet, and we will be coming back. Thank You Mark for a great place and a great vacation! We celebrated our 25th anniversary, a milestone birthday and Thanksgiving in our week at the house. We were interested in it because it is a reasonable distance from the Miami area airports and can accomodate 10 people, and we wanted to invite family to come and go as their schedules allowed. Everything was great, from the process leading up to our stay to the house itself, which is beautiful, super clean and well-maintained, and has everything you need (except an electric mixer - whipping cream by hand for Thanksgiving desserts is quite a chore :-) ). Pictures on websites are often misleading but this house is actually even better than it looks on the rental site, and there is plenty of entertainment at the house itself. If fact, we enjoyed being there so much that we hardly went anywhere other than the grocery store. We did make a day trip to Key West as well as a visit to Treasure of the Seas, and there are many other activities in the area. We would highly recommend Summer Breezes to anyone looking for a wonderful setting for a special family gathering or vacation treat.

Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday, anniversary and birthday in the Keys. Your suggestion for an electric mixer is a great idea and we will be adding soon to our long list of items found in our fully equipped kitchen. We look forward to having you back!

Wonderful, clean place. Location was great, 15 minutes from Key Largo (north) or Islandmorada (south). Plenty of great restaurants. We had trouble with internet and tv, and Mark had Comcast out there the next day. Mark also gave us great restaurant recommendation, MM88. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your anniversary staying at our home and we look forward to having you back again soon.

Incredibly beautiful home, decor and amenities, impeccably maintained. Perfect location in the Florida Keys. Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. Public beach with reasonable snorkling tours and a place for swimming with the dolphins a few miles away! We stayed for 5 days and after the first day we decided that next time we would definately have to stay longer. It truely is paradise. Amenities, pool, hot tub, dock on the canal, location, stainless appliances (including the ice maker and beverage cooler which were used the most and very much appreciated!) super comfortable beds, flat screen TV, stereo system with ipod hook up, wireless internet....the Lampert's really provided everything you could ever want or need on a relaxing vacation in the Florida Keys. We can't wait to go back. We would absolutely recommend this house rental to anyone thinking about renting in the Florida Keys.

We stayed here for two weeks and could not fault either the house or location at all. In the lead up to the holiday, Mark was very efficient and all the arrangements ran very smoothly. The house is even better in real life than it looks in the pictures - the kitchen is huge and so well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the various outside sitting areas, mainly the upstairs balcony, but more sun loungers would have been appreciated around the pool. The pool and spa are lovely, many an evening was spent around this area. The house was spotlessly clean throughout and Tom, the manager, was amazingly helpful. I would highly recommend both this property and the area, although beaches are few and far between. However, being right on the water and having a kayak more than makes up for this, we spent a lot of time manatee spotting! There are excellent restaurants nearby, we particularly enjoyed Lorelei and Lazy Days for dinner, and Morada Bay for having breakfast on the sand was unforgettable. We did find the Green Turtle a little overpriced and the wine was very expensive, not sure I would return to this one when there are so many better (and better value) restaurants around. Make sure you take a trip to Key West at least once, very good fun. Thanks, Mark and Tom, for a great holiday, we will definitely be returning!

This house was by far the best we have ever stayed at throughout the 7 years we have been coming down here! This house is meticulously cared for by the owner and located in a perfect area. Close to shopping, restaurants and fishing. One of the best fishing guides I have ever used lives right across the street from this house. This house has everything you ever needed and then some! It is only an hour and a half from Key West in which the ride down is beautiful and not boring. Wildlife is in abundance with fish, manatees, birds and lizards all around the house. They have a kayak that you can paddle around the canals with in which we got to stroll right up to a Manatee and pet it. What an experience!!! Cannot wait to stay here again!! A Must Do!!

This house could not be more perfect. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood. It is immaculate and well furnished just as other reviews have described. We had a large, multigenerational group. There was enough seating for all at meals and places to get some privacy from the group. When home, we were in the pool or hanging in the patio area. The pool was ideal for our children and we had ample shade to watch them from. The kitchen is gorgeous and well stocked. The ice maker was well used and the spices in the cabinet were helpful as we did a lot of family meals. The location was a great starting point for our daytrips to Key West, Bahia Honda, John Pennecamp and attractions right in Islamorada. The kids loved Theater of the Sea and feeding the tarpons at Robbie's Marina. On our last night we watched the sun set while having a casual dinner at Lorelei's. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Keys.

The house is beautiful and very well maintained with great amenities. Having stayed in other rentals before, this one exceeded our expectations. We had a great time just hanging out in the calm and relaxing backyard and pool area and found ourselves cutting back on sightseeing because we didn't want to leave the house. The only thing we missed were bugscreens on the windows to have natural air at night. We loved the kayak and explored the mangroves. The outside dining area is wonderful and our kids enjoyed the pool toys provided. While the backyard is relatively small, it didn't feel small because of the nice layout and landscaping. The setting at the canal is beautiful and the location is very convenient.

The house was exactly as described and was spotless. The location was perfect. We spent one day in Key West and were glad we had decided not to stay there. We were half way between Key West and Miami. All the local resturants were wonderful and had surprising entrees and wine lists. We would recommend this home to anyone and look forward to returning ourselves. The owner made it very easy and the caregiver was very nice. We had absolutely no problems.

Mark, we want to personally thank you for providing such a lovely home for our vacation. We really just wanted to relax by the pool with friends and that is exactly what we did. You were very gracious to work with and provided us exceptional service. The home was spottless and very workable in every way. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We do rent homes frequently for our vacations and we definately would rate your home in the top 5. The men went fishing with your neighbor across the street and we would recommend him to everyone. If we had anything to suggest it would be to have a couple full length mirrors in the bedrooms for the women or at least a mirror on the wall. You could even put the mirror in the closet of the one bedroom upstairs with the queen bed. Another thing we would have used would have been a couple of fishing poles for the dock behind the house. We would definatly recommend your home to our friends and family.

Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and found our home to be one of your favorites. We pride ourselves in providing a wonderful vacation opportunity and glad that we exceeded your expectations. Your suggestion to add full length mirrors was an excellent idea and we just installed 2 full length mirrors in the King and Queen bedrooms today. Thanks for the great idea! As for having fishing poles on hand, we think it's best you rent a pole a few blocks away at the Marina so that they can be kept in good and workable condition as they require too much maintenance and repairs that we cannot provide. Again, thank you for the wonderful ideas and your compliments. We are humbled by the way you and many of our guests have cared for our home during their stay. Thank you!! We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

If you're looking for a great, comfortable home, look no further. Mark's home provided us the perfect place for a family get-away. Everything about this home is magnificent! The home is impeccable, very well organized, with a perfect layout, whether you have a small group or a full house, like we did. It's hard to focus on a particular aspect of this very modern property, because everything is great. However, one thing that really stood out for me was the cleanliness and great energy this home has. It even comes with great neighbors across the canal. I took home with me a lifetime of memories, bonding with my family, that I will always cherish. I attribute the fun pool and state of the art Jacuzzi for providing lots of laughs and joy. My compliments to Mark's kitchen, while we chose not to cook, his kitchen sure inspires cooking dreams to all. Thanks to the Lampert's for opening their doors and allowing my family to enjoy their piece of heaven in Islamorada. Edith

Owner response: We're so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay. We know you had other choices and you chose to stay at our home during your vacation. We do not take this lightly. We're glad that you found our services to be more than you expected. We look forward to having you coming back again soon.

Located about half way between Key Largo and Key West so it was easy get anywhere in the Keys. Comfortable, well furnished, good beds. The nice landscaping offered privacy from the neighbors on either side which enhanced our use of the well designed outside living area. We used the pool everyday and occasional use of the hot tub. The information on the house and the area supplied by the owner was excellent he even let us know a neighbor was available for guided fishing. The couple that went out fishing had a great time.

Hi Mark- I just wanted to let you know we left this morning after five great days. What a wonderful and well thought out home you have built! Some of my favorite features included the two garbage cans in the kitchen, the silent dishwasher and garbage disposal and the giant master bath shower. We did have one casualty this weekend... One of the wine glasses broke in the sink. We have been coming to islamorada every year for the last three and this was the best yet. We look forward to returning to summer breeze again

Just seeing the images reminds me of how amazing our time was in the Keys. What a gorgeous home, amazing pool and hot tub and one cannot forget the Manatee that swam up the inlet almost daily. Truly an amazing place to vacation and get away from the craziness of it all. Thank you for such detailed instructions on things and for supplying perfect amenities for the home. The home felt like a luxury residence vs. a vacation home and the cleanliness of the home was over the top! It felt like we were the first guests to have stayed there it was so clean. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to get south and enjoy the sunshine.

We had 7 adults and two children ther for 12 days and never felt crowded. The children were always in thhe pool and the location was perfect for us. So many things to do in the keys, we are already talking about coming back. The owner was very thoughtful by providing detailed instructions as to how everything worked and recommendations as for local restaurants and activities. We went deep sea fishing, took in Theater of the Sea, went to Key West for the day and went to Miami for the day. My family agreed this was our best vacation as it was very relaxed. There were a few days where we just wanted to relax by the pool and barbeque. We were very happy with our accomedations and would highly recommend it.

Me and my family spent 10 great days in the house in January 2011. We were 11 people from 2-80 years old, and we all really had a great vacation in the sun. The house is just perfect for a family vacation, it is well maintained, the house has everything you need, and we ended up spending a lot of time just hanging out by the pool. The pool area is perfect for long family lunches and BBQ's in the afternoon. The location of the house gave us a good opportunity to explore the Miami area, the Everglades and the rest of the Keys down to Key West. I must say we were a bit sceptic about renting a private home, but everthing went in an orderly manner. There were no problems at all, so thank you Mark and family for letting us rent your little pieces of paradise! We'd love to be back! Greetings from Norway

We stayed at the house for 7 nights. There were 10 people, my mother from Saskatchewan, Canada who is in her 70’s, an unmarried brother in his 50’s from Saskatchewan, Canada, a married brother in his 50’s from Singapore, his children who are in their 20’s, one from South Korea, one from Canmore, Alberta, Canada, and one from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, myself and my husband and 26 year old daughter all from Kansas. The location was great, centrally located with lots to see and do. The house was perfect for us, just a place to spend Christmas and catch up. We cooked a Christmas dinner complete with turkey and fixings, played games, used the kayak, spent some time exploring the Keyes, watched movies and played a lot of games. We pushed the dining room table up to the island in the kitchen and were able to seat all 10 of us at the table when we ate. It was cold every day except one, too cold to use the pool, but on that one day we were able to use the pool, we loved it and spent most of the day using the pool toys provided. The hot tub never really worked as expected, because of the cold days we would have liked to use it all day and not just after 3 pm. Plus it seemed to take longer to heat up than it should have and if we didn’t get in it right after it heated up it would shut off and we would have to wait again. That is the only complaint after 7 days. Everything we needed was provided and the beds were comfortable. We would come again if we come to the Keyes again.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Our pool features state of the art One-Touch controls and even with the cold weather, the hot tub is certainly capable of heating properly at all times throughout the day. In the future, we hope that any guests that have any problems operating the pool or any of our other hi-tech appliances, take time to call me personally and I can walk them through the features over the phone. In this way, your stay is not only enjoyable but one that is memorable for years to come. Thanks again and we look forward to having you back!

We rented this home over Thanksgiving for our family to get together. It was a perfect place for us! The house was beautiful, VERY clean, modern and spacious. The outdoor spaces were remarkable. The pictures underestimate how nice this house was - you must see in person! The owner was wonderful to work with, very responsive and provided us with all of the information we needed. The house had all of the amenities we needed and much much more!! Everything in this house was top of the line, including the pool and hot tub. The location was perfect as well. It was about an hour and 20 minutes from Miami, which made for an easy and beautiful drive. We loved the snorkeling, kayaking, theater of the sea and dining out. We saw several manatees in the canal - which was really cool! We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and look forward to coming back!!

We stayed at the home recently for a family vacation. There were 5 adults and we each had more than enough space. The house was immaculate! So clean and comfortable - and we felt at home instantly. We were able to cook breakfast every morning in the kitchen which has everything you could want. We used the grill to cook up steaks and enjoyed dinner around the large dining table. The upstairs bathrooms are large and there are spacious closets with organizers in each bedroom. The pool, spa, and landscaping were wonderful! Outdoor balcony space with large table and chair setting was a nice extra. We were able to do plenty of fishing nearby, and also took day trips into the Keys (about a 2 hour drive) and enjoyed the shopping, culture and architecture. We also ate out nearby at Tasters in the Winn-Dixie mall which we highly recommend. Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas are also close enough for day trips as well.

Hi Mark, I just wanted to send you a quick to thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a great vacation! The kids went tubing, hydro sliding, fishing.. we even saw a manatee at the dock! The house is beautiful. We kept noting how you thought of everything…. even the clips for the chip bags!! We were very impressed. We were trying to think of something you didn’t have and joked that a TV in the terrace/pool area and an outdoor shower would be nice. We thought hard to come up with something!!! We are building a house and I just loved some of the features you had. The kitchen was amazing (love the cabinets and the color… are they local?) We loved the master bath shower too!! The list is endless. Thanks again.. we have great memories and we plan on coming back and making more! Cary

From the moment we walked through the door we where wowed and that continued through the house, down the stairs and to the patio, pool and spa areas. The house is remarkable and although we continued down to Key West for our wedding on the 4th of July, both I and my husband agreed that, had we known how beautiful the surrounding where we would have loved to have gotten married by the pool as the sun was going down. We would have taken advantage of the pools spectacular light show and privacy of the property. You really have done a remarkable job and there where days that we did not leave the property, we chose to lie in the pool, soak in the hot tub and venture out on the kayak. On the days we did explore the area we where pleasantly surprised to find some of the best dinning we have had in the keys all within just a few miles of the house. We also enjoyed a lovely afternoon of snorkeling with the Keys Diver Snorkel Tours where we stopped at three different locations including the Christ statue which is underwater. The best part was after a long day on the water we stopped at the Payfair grocery store you recommended and bought some wonderful stakes which we took back to the house and cooked on the grill. After a long day you can’t beat a great meal followed by a lazy evening in the hot tub. Not only will we remember this trip because we got married, but because we found paradise in the Keys at Summer Breeze. Thank you Connie and Andy

We spend 2 weeks at this home summer 2010 ..and had a wonderful time. The home is well maintained. The pool was great including a very shallow end (6 inches) for kids. A quick shot out to the bay and then over to the ocean by boat. There is a great outdoor area out back both upstairs and downstairs for lounging outside. This home had everything we needed to enjoyed 2 weeks away including a grill, kyak, cooler, home entertainment system with ipod plug in, etc. Bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent as well. We would stay here again.

Owner response: Tom - We appreciate renters like yourselves that take care of our home as if it were there own. Thanks and we look forward to having you back again.

What a beautiful home. Three generations of my family, from sixteen year old teenagers to eighty-seven year old grandparents enjoyed a Christmas vacation here. We all gathered at 4:00 am on the front porch, one group flying in from Vancouver BC, another driving down from Toronto. Despite being exhausted we were all amazed at how beautiful the place was. As we toured the house to assign bedrooms, the party-sized master shower was the hit. The next morning (or afternoon) we commended ourselves on finding such a wonderful place for our stay in Florida. My husband, a designer, commented on the high quality of construction, design and finishings of the house. I was most impressed with the landscaping...oh those palm trees... the jacuzzi and pool. Each morning I slipped out the sliding doors of my downstairs bedroom to do a few wakeup laps in the pool before breakfast. The granite kitchen island, bar height dining table and patio furniture on the balcony all provided perfect spots for breakfast. In the evening we all dined on the giant wrought iron table on the terrace. Christmas eve we lingered there singing carols engulfed in the warm evening air and the festive atmosphere of the canal's surrounding homes decorated with lights. Christmas day was equally enjoyable as we all sat around the dining table playing Cranium and imbibing liquid libations from the well stocked wine bar and ice locker. Of course we did all the requisite shopping, day trips to Key West and Maimi Beach and snorkeling on the coral reef, but one of the highlights was in our own "backyard". Paddling around the canals in the two person kayak we were joined by a mother and baby manitee. Each day we saw these two and another pair along with the herons, storks and iguanas that live in and around the canals. Thank you, Mark for creating this lovely setting for us to make wonderful memories. It was magical. Lesley C.

WOW! This home is brand new and convenient to so many things in the upper keys and was perfect for our stay. We have stayed at this home twice in the last 3 months and are definately ready to go back again. The home will easily sleep 10 without feeling as if you are always walking around each other because of the split floor plan (3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs). The kitchen is state of the art with beverage cooler, stainless steel appliances. Plenty of room to sit at the island or the DR table. Flatpanel TV's with a DVR in the living room. Dock your Ipod and go outside to relax on either the upper or lower decks or by the pool with the outside surround sound system. Pool and spa are beautiful. All is perfect for entertaining. Nearby there are excellent restaurants in all price ranges. Breakfast at Made to Order is a must (eat outside). We'd also recommend Tasters (wonderful for the adults) in the Winn Dixie shopping center. Heading south Lorelei for the local happy hour crowd and live entertainment almost every night, Bentley's for seafood or prime rib, Lazy Days for something special, and if you just want some bar food, check out the Wahoo's happy hour from 4-7 overlooking the water for $3-5 specials which can be enough for your meal. For things to do, John Pennekamp's State Park for snorkeling, Theater of the Sea are all within 10 minutes. While we were there on our first trip we went to Key Dives (MM 79 at Bud & Mary's Marina) and did a "discover scuba" day. Without any experience you spend a few hours in the pool learning the basics and then do a 2 tank dive. Tom was my dive master and he brought along his camera for no cost and took lots of pictures and he copied them onto my jump drive for me so that I could have a copy. After that trip we did our online elearning with PADI and came back 6 weeks later and did our 4 open water dives to obtain our certification. Key Dives is EXCELLENT! They take complete care of your equipment, bringing it back to you at the shop and storing it for you if you are coming back for another dive. Eric was our dive master for our certifications and all I can say is THANK YOU! I had problems clearing my mask and if it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't have finished the requirements. We also spent our last day by renting kayas from Backcountry Cowboy Outfitters (MM82) be sure to go to the bird rookery and then pull up at Islamorada Fish House for a drink and appetizer. OVERALL RECOMMENDED for your trip!!!
