My family really enjoyed our visit to Roatan. The beach was wonderful and the reef for snorkelling and scuba diving is awesome. Our stay in Roatan was greatly enhanced by our stay at Infinity Bay Resort which has many amenities as well as being very clean and well-maintained. This particular condo unit we stayed at is similarly clean and well-maintained. There is even maid service every three days to clean the condo and change linen and towels! Kathy, the condo owner, has been very helpful in our trip planning - read her FAQ's very carefully as she already anticipates a lot of questions that you don't even know you are going to ask. We had a wonderful time and I would recommend this condo and resort to anyone!

The condo was very nice and roomy enough for two couples. Air conditioning was very good. Pool area adjacent to the condo was beautiful and well maintained. House cleaning did a great job and other employees were polite and friendly. Snorkeling in front of Infinity Bay was the best we had ever seen. There were many nice restaurants which were reasonably priced within easy walking distance. We will definitely return.

Beautiful Condo and Resort

I will say that my overall opinion of the resort and this condo was great, but we did have an issue. We had to call maintenance as the dishwasher did not work. I waited in the condo for someone to come and fix it, but gave up and decided to hand wash our dishes. But with that said, the beaches, resort and weather in Roatan were beautiful and the owner was very helpful. [OWNER RESPONSE: We found the dishwasher problem (it was unplugged), but we are very sorry for this guest's inconvenience.]

This beachfront location is perfect! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! There were so many activities to choose from on the beach and at the resort! The accommodations were very well kept and up to date with a full kitchen and a great balcony overlooking the pool and the beach! We would recommend this to anyone!

We have vacationed in Roatan several times before so we knew what to expect in terms of island atmosphere. However, what was unexpected was the atmosphere in your condo. Beautiful decorating, touches of home, and the finest amenities, all made this stay in Roatan quite remarkable. The condo is steps from the pool, beach and the palapa. Gorgeous views, fantastic snorkeling all right out in front of Infinity Bay. We can't thank you enough for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy your gem on the beach. Beautiful condo, has all of the amenities for a truly wonderful and relaxing vacation. The owner was prompt and considerate with answering questions. There is no better location in Roatan for beach access. The snorkeling is just steps from the condo, one of the best I've seen. The beach is clean. The pool at Infinity Bay is wonderful. There are plenty of chaise lounges poolside and on the beach. The beds and bedding at this condo are perfect. The bathrooms and showers are roomy and comfortable. There are plenty of towels and bath products provided. Beach towels are also provided. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook, but we had most of our meals out. Bite on the Beach was a favorite for dinner. We will remember this vacation for ever. Definitely recommend Roatan and this condo.

Infinity Bay Resort is the ideal place to stay in West Bay Roatan. The pool, beach, condos and food were delightful. The condo itself was very nicely decorated and very well equipped.

Your decorating was fabulous and the little touches are what make it very comfortable. Some of the other units looked quite drab in comparison. We recently stayed at Infinity Bay and had a wonderful time! The condo is great and has everything you will need for your stay. Booking was a breeze with Kathy and she provides tons of information on the condo/resort/island prior to your stay. We used the shuttle that was also pre-arranged and that was nice to not have to worry about renting a car and just being able to hop on the shuttle with our two small kids. We hope to visit again soon!

The location here is perfect--- on the best snorkeling beach on the island. And the resort's facilities are quite nice--- we enjoyed the pool, the complimentary drinks, the free kayaks and the free books and puzzles. The rooms were quite nice, with very comfortable beds and nice wood furniture. The view from the balcony is lovely and we found ourselves eating out on the balcony for almost very meal. When we arrived, we noticed that we had no pots or pans. Luckily, after asking at the desk, the staff brought more within a couple of hours. There are a couple of things that could have been better--- there was kind of a odd smell in the entryway and we spotted a couple of bugs in one of the bathrooms, which, to be fair, have to be expected to some degree on a tropical island like Roatan. Overall, it is definitely a place I'd recommend and I'd certainly consider returning. For the island, I felt it was a good value, especially when you consider the high cost of eating out at the restaurants.

Very nice facility,excellent owner with inconsistent service from management

Kathy's condo is beautiful, modern with a nice view to the pool and sea. We arrived December 31st, and because of this being a holiday, it was quite crowded with an unexpected party of 90 guests from Tegucigalpa visiting the resort, this created problems with service at the Palapa and other parts of the resort. However,once the guests left, the resort returned to its usual rhythm. West End has the best beach, white sand clear blue waters and excellent snorkeling out of your doorstep. I was lucky to swim with sea turtles, saw eel, octopus and lobsters. Often saw more fish and creatures than on my regular dives. I highly recommend Mayan Divers at Mayan Princess for their high standards and impeccable equipment and professionalism. The beach did get crowded during cruise ship days, tourists arrived around 9:30 am and left at 3;00 pm, after 3:00 pm the beach was quite delightful and early morning walks are the best, not to be missed. Security at the beach was excellent, we always felt safe inside the resort and at the beach. At night sand flies come out, use bug repellent! Restaurants we enjoyed, high in food safety standards Hungry Monkey, Mangiamo's, Celeste, Vintage Pearl, Mayan Princess, Banarama all within walking distance. My parents enjoyed Coconut Tree at West End, great fish. Food at Infinity as well as service at the Palapa was not consistent, but it was acceptable we ate a couple of times there. I recommend getting all your groceries at Mega Plaza, the only supermarket in the island, 15 -20 minute drive, you will save money, this island is not cheap. I also bought some fruit and veggies from a red truck parked at Bananarama, Wednesdays and Fridays, otherwise you can take a water taxi or drive to West End to get fruit and veggies there. Kathy's condo has a great kitchen fully equipped, she has been very communicative with us and I recommend her condo highly. We hope you have a wonderful stay at Infinity Bay, we certainly did.We enjoyed Roatan and its diving we will return next year!

For our readers: these folks were delightful guests both in our communications and their understanding of a few minor glitches during their stay! I just wanted to correct a few significant inaccuracies. The "best beach" to which our guest referred and the one on which the resort is located is actually called West Bay Beach whereas West End is a small seaside village a short distance away. Also, a mention is made of "the only supermarket on the island" when in reality we actually have three major supermarkets on the island: Supermercado, Plaza Mar, and Eldon's, all located between 20 and 35 minutes from the resort.

My family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids 14 and 11) just returned from a trip to Infinity Bay during Christmas week. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3rd trip to Roatan and our first stay at Infinity Bay. We had been to Roatan in 1981, 2000, and now 2010 - wow, how things have changed! During our stay on the island, we enjoyed some great scuba diving and the restaurants were pretty good too. Infinity Bay is a very nice development with a fantastic pool and is located on a beautiful beach. The waters off the beach are generally calm and the coral is very close, which makes for some great snorkeling just off the beach. Our unit was clean, attractive, and very well furnished. The unit was more"homey" than the other 2 units my family rented. The location is good in that it is not so close to the beach bar to hear the noise or get the direct ocean wind, but close enough to have a partial ocean view with mild breezes. We loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool while the kids swam. We hope to return to Infinity Bay and would love to stay in this unit again.

I knew I didn't want to spend a week there so I called Kathy, from Honduras, and within 5 minutes she had me set up in her condo! I've stayed at several condos on the island, including Infinity Bay, and this is by far the nicest and best equipped!

My Wife and I got married and headed out to Roatan for our honeymoon. After doing extensive amounts of research on the Island and where to stay I decided on this Resort and BOY we were glad we chose Infinity Bay. And not just glad to be staying at the prettiest beach on the Island, but also fortunate we met and rented Kathleen's Condo. Her condo is beautiful. From the artwork on the walls to the washer and dryer and ice maker in the fridge! It was the best honeymoon we could ever imagine. The resort is a "true," resort. A/C, room service, a great restaurant and full service bar all within reach. This condo had a huge balcony with views of the pool and the ocean. We spent a lot of our morning time out there reading and discussing our days activities. Once discussed we usually headed down to the beach were there were very comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas. Some of the best snorkeling on the island is right there! We would go out several times a day to check out the reef and all its fish. I truly recommend staying at this condo not only for a couple trying to get away, but for families too! It is very safe and the resort and its staff are more than accommodating. Thank you Kathy for a great honeymoon! We will never forget and will be planning our next trip out there soon.

We just returned from a week at Kathy's Infinity Bay condo and give the entire experience a well-tanned thumbs-up. Kathy's condo is roomy and well-appointed - as advertised and more. The location of this particular condo was perfect. We loved the snorkeling just off the beach, were thrilled with the canopy zip-line tour at nearby Gumbalimba Park, and appreciated the closeness of some restaurants and a convenience store. The water taxis to West End made renting a car or hiring a taxi unnecessary. If you've been to Roatan and stayed anywhere else, you've missed the nicest property on the finest beach on the island. If you've never been to Roatan and are thinking about going, this condo at Infinity Bay is the best choice you could make. Kathy is a very responsive and helpful renter who inspires confidence.

Infinity Bay Perfect Place in Roatan

Our family of 6 (4 kids) just got back from 10 wonderful days in Roatan all at Infinity Bay. We really enjoyed how nice and spacious the condo is and how well appointed it was. We were very comfortable. I have to say that Kathy was totally awesome in helping me with anything we needed in planning our trip. We really enjoyed the perfect location of Infinity on the nicest beach in all Roatan. We've snorkeled all over the world and the reef out front of the property was one of the best we've been to, lots of fish and unique corals and formations. If there's anything negative to say it's the resorts poor level of service from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant staff. But that being said I would recommend Infinity Bay as the only place I'd stay in Roatan. We rented scooters for several days and a pick-up truck for several days and explored the whole island which our kids loved. We also did one of the canopy tours near the resort up the hill which was very cool. Finally, I would add that's it a great value for such a high end luxurious condo. Larry

Hands down the best place to stay on Roatan

We *finally* made it to Honduras and #504 Infinity Bay is even more perfect than the pictures can possibly show. Plenty of space for our active family of 4 - the second bedroom was perfect for the kids (ages 3 & 5) and the balconies there are very safe (no way little ones can slip through). The condo itself is tastefully decorated and perfectly located within the complex. It is toward the back side of the pool allowing easy access to the shallow entry and far enough back from the restaurant/bar to preserve the peace and quiet we needed in the afternoons and evenings. Yet, there are still amazing ocean views from the dining table on the balcony. Kathy was amazing to deal with - very responsive to any questions and super accommodating with our change of itinerary due to flight cancellations (Hurricane Alex this year, political situation last year - see prior review about refund). The resort itself is phenomenal and definitely the nicest place to stay in West Bay. It fronts the beach where the reef is 30 feet or less off shore - perfect for snorkeling right from the beach. Beach and pool lounges are plentiful at all times of day. Water taxis leave from the dock there for trips into West End, but there is a mini-mart in close walking distance and the on-site restaurant serves excellent (and reasonably priced) food and drinks - the Monkey La La is not to be missed. One major concern we had was cruise ship day. Our original itinerary was arranged to avoid being on the island at that time (we visited Pico Bonito as well). With our 24-hour flight delay, we ended up staying through on one of the cruise days. Our greatest fears were completely unfounded. Sure, there is an increase of people, but far fewer than we expected. They mostly stuck to their designated area. The resort does an amazing job ensuring that the beach area in front is preserved for Infinity Bay guests/owners. If you are at the pool, you wouldn't even know they were next door. Our biggest endorsement for how awesome it was at Infinity Bay's condo #504 came from our older son who asked if we could live there. Thanks Kathy for helping us have a fantastic vacation.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in Kathy's condo for a week. It was everything she said it would be and more. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The condo was very clean and roomie. We traveled with our two teenagers and had more then enough space for everyone. After we got picked up by the airport shuttle we asked to stop at the store and boughts a few things there. The prices we not horrible and the selection was pretty good. We did the dolphin encounter and loved it. We wished we would have done the snorkeling with them too, maybe next time. We did the South Shore Canopy Tour and had a blast. Ask for Preston, he is a trip :) We liked the food at the resort but we enjoyed the resturants on West End more. We took water taxis and it was wonderful Be careful if you pick a boat on the beach for a snorkeling adventure, we got scamed one afternoon. We will be more careful next time. There is this great little place right outside the resort called Hungry Munkey and it has great ice cream and sandwiches. He doesn't take credit cards so you will need cash. Kathy was wonderful to work with and she did everything she said she was going to. My family and I had an amazing time and are planning on coming back and if we do we will stay at Kathy's Condo again.

Owner response:With regard to Valerie's comment on the unfortunate experience with her family's snorkeling adventure, we should advise our guests that it's always wise to check with the resort staff about who they might recommend as reputable vendors or trusted tour operators for such excursions. Also, relative to the food at the resort on West Bay Beach as compared to what restaurants offer in the area called West End, this is certainly a fair assessment for those guests who want to travel "off beach" and try out a variety such as Thai, Italian, or other specialty restaurants. Most of our guests who mention their dining experiences, however, rate the Palapa Restaurant at our Infinity Bay Resort and other West Bay Beach restaurants very high on their list. Infinity Bay

My daughter and her family came and visited us in Honduras. We stayed a week at the condo. The condo is very comfortable, great location, beautifully appointed and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it. The pool is amazing and so is the beach there. However, I feel like when the Infinity Bay compound is completely finished it will be a far greater place. They are building a restaurant, new office, spa etc. It is still under construction. Initially I was very surprised at the size of the office until I realized it was temporary. The food and service in the restaurant were not my favorite. Maybe they were very busy but also took forever to serve. We had a wonderful time as we are beach lovers and Roatan is the best.

Wonderful vacation

My mom and I stayed here for 5 days from May 22-27th. This is a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with living room and full kitchen. The master bedroom balcony overlooks the pool which is so peaceful to sit outside and daydream. The rooms are large and can easily accomodate 4 to 6 people without being crowded. Its beautfully furnished and there are movies, puzzles and books to enjoy. The condo is centrally located meaning its a minute walk to the best beach on Roatan West Bay as well as a minute walk to the main office for any info you need. I personally like that its a second floor unit because I feel its more private and less foot traffic. The owner Kathy is a sweetheart. She is personable and professional. From the first time on the phone with her I knew I made a friend. Kathy was always quick to respond to emails and answering any questions I had. She also offered tips and advice to make my stay on Roatan more enjoyable. She sets up your transportation with Infinity Bay to and from the airport so its one less thing to worry about. Upon arriving home she sent me a welcome home email which I thought was sweet. I highly recommend that if your planning a trip to Roatan to look no further this is definately the place you want to stay. You will not find better accomadations or owners who truly care about their guests. I plan to return to Roatan someday and will call Kathy for availability.

My husband and I stayed at Infinity Bay the week of May 8th, 2010. We rented a two-bedroom, two bath unit owned by Kathy & Neil Malone. Kathy & Neil were wonderful to work with. Kathy provided helpful knowledge about Roatan, the customs, tipping recommendations, helpful website links, that all helped to make our trip even more enjoyable. Kathy was very responsive to any correspondence; they are trustworthy and professional. Their condo is conveniently located directly above the fresh-water pool and centrally located between the property's office and outdoor bar/lounge area. We loved having our morning coffee on the gorgeous balcony. Kathy has stocked the condo with paperback books, DVD's, and puzzles. The unit itself is beautiful and well-maintained. Everything you need is already there. We asked the driver who picked us up at the airport if we could stop at the grocery store to stock up with food and beverage supplies before continuing onto the resort. All of the employees that we interacted with were courteous and engaging. The food at Infinity Bay was delicious. I had the grilled Sea Bass several times; the prices were very reasonable, with dinners ranging from $12 to 27.00. The administrative staff were friendly and accommodating. The snorkeling is spectacular. Roatan is a destination sight for scuba divers. If you love sunny skies, crystal blue waters, and a truly relaxing experience, then I would highly recommend a trip to Roatan and a stay at Infinity Bay in a heartbeat. If Kathy & Neil's condo is available they would be my first choice to work with!

Wonderful Condo April 2010

This is the only place to stay in Roatan. Unit is wonderful, very comfortable beds, Great amenities, owners are fantastic people. Pool was perfect, enjoyed the swim up bar. The food at Infinity Bay was some of the best we had. Fantastic hamburgers, quesadillas, the only good salad on the island. We spent most of our time diving, Bananarama is the best dive shop on the island, don't bother looking at other shops, we did and made the right decision for sure, Mel & Sophia are amazing. Very close to Infinity Bay, we left our gear there and walked the very short walk there each morning. Sunday nights at Bananarama are fun, fire dancing, crab races. There is a BBQ at Infinity Bay on the beach on Sundays also. This property, the owners, the amenities, food and location cannot be beat!

Inifinity Bay is by far the nicest resort on Roatan and is on the best beach on the island. The condo itself is beautifully finished. It's spacious and was perfect for us and our 2 young children. The deck is huge- spent every morning out there with my coffee, looking over the pool and the ocean. Kathleen was very helpful (and very patient with some booking problems beyond our control). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this condo to anyone.

Many thanks to Kathy for helping us to arrange our stay at Infinity Bay in Roatan. Her condo was booked, but she generously went out of the way to connect us to other owners she is friendly with. We had two offers for condo rentals the week we were looking for and will be heading to Roatan this spring. We couldn't be happier, or more grateful to Kathy!

Our family (my wife, my two little children’s and my parents) rented Kathy's condo at the Infinity Bay Resort in Roatan for the first week of January 2010 and let me tell you it was a incredible experience even though the weather was not so helpful. The Condo was incredible, it was very neat and in excellent conditions, it has two spacious bedrooms with two complete bathrooms, three tv sets, a full and beautiful kitchen, a washer and dry included, a large balcony with a wonderful view of the pool, and also there is a lot of wonderful books to read (which help me to kill some time during the bad weather), also we play some of the games that the condo had available (Poker, Scrabble). In general the place and the condo are superb, beautiful sandy beaches, nice and friendly staff, and good environment, in one the nicest places I have ever been. I highly recommend this condo, it was very easy to communicate with Kathy, and she made sure all the things we agreed upon were ready and arranged, for sure I will be visiting again Infinity Bay based on the availability of Kathy's condo and from now I am recommending this condo to all my friends in Honduras.

I rented Kathy's condo at the Infinity Bay Resort in Roatan Christmas week and couldn't have been happier. The condo was beautiful and in excellent condition. My son and I were joined by my two sisters and niece and nephew. The place was more than roomy enough and everybody slept comfortably. We all agreed the balcony was wonderful- we enjoyed sitting outside during our UNO and Scrabble(thanks for the board, Kathy) games. Kathy was great at following through and making arrangements for us to be picked up at the ferry at the right time- even after a schedule change. She was gracious enough to participate in a conference call between my sisters( one lives in NY the other in Tegucigalpa) to help us finalize details. We would all go back and rent from Kathy again.

My husband and I and 3 small boys just spent a week at Kathy's Condo in Infinity Bay. If you are looking to come to Roatan, this is the place! Infinity Bay is the nicest resort and this condo is one of the nicest on the property. It is one of the larger 2 bedrooms with 3 tvs and a very spacious balcony. It also has a washer and dryer that is available to use for a very small fee. This was really helpful so we didn't have to take home sandy clothes. The kids enjoyed having a tv in their room and my husband was able to enjoy all the Bowl Games without the kids begging for the Disney Channel. This condo is in excellent condition with lots of extras you won't find in the other condos. Kathy has a nice selection of books to enjoy. The balcony overlooks the pool. We enjoyed being so close that it made it easy to run upstairs if we needed something or my husband could drop down a towel if we needed. My 7 year old liked being able to go up to the condo alone while we stayed at the pool knowing we were just below him. I highly recommend this condo for many reasons. One main one was due to how easy it was to communicate with Kathy. She made sure all the things we agreed upon were ready and arranged for us (airport transportation and washer & dryer). I have always wanted to stay at Infinity Bay but never thought it was within my budget. Kathy rents at more than half of the price of the other owners. I will be planning my next visit to Roatan based on the availability of Kathy's condo. I feel I can rent from them with confidence.

My daughter and I spent a week in Roatan and Loved it. The condo is absolutely beautiful and in a perfect location. We loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool after a long day. My daughter (age 11) especially liked having her own bedroom and bathroom. Kathy was a joy to work with and her prices were fantastic. There's no reason to book through Infinity Bay and pay more. I travel to Roatan 4 times a year and have been looking for a place to call "home" and I finally found it!

Everything was perfect. This condo is first class, furniture, decoration, equipment... Hotel transfer worked smoothly and also check in and out. Location could not be better. " best of best in Roatan" ... nothing else than what you say in your VRBO ad: "a piece of paradise" . We will for sure come back to your property as soon as possible ! The weather was also incredibly good for the season, so we had 5 wonderful and unforgettable days ... diving and snorkling all day around from West Bay beach!. Thank you so much, Kathy, we will recommend your condo to our diver friends too!

Our family of 4, including 2 young boys, travels internationally every year and we always look for beachfront condos or houses. In researching Roatan, it appeared that Infinity Bay was the ultimate locale - huge pool, restaurant & beach bar and best of all, right on the best snorkeling beach on the island. I inquired with the owners of this unit and it looked to be a perfect match for our family. Unfortunately, a political situation arose in Honduras just a few short weeks before we were due to depart. Though Roatan was mostly unaffected by the situation, we were concerned over what could happen, especially since our vacation plans included some touring on the mainland. Citing all of the unknowns, I contacted the owners to let them know we were changing our travel plans. They could not have been easier to work with or more understanding of our situation. We were granted a full refund. When we are ready to plan another trip to Honduras, we certainly hope this unit is available.

We had contacted Kathy to inquire about renting her condo in Roatan by way of the VRBO web site. We soon determined that our dates conflicted as Kathy and her husband Neil would be there at the same time. However, undaunted Kathy went ahead to assist us in securing another condo to rent in the Infinity Bay Resort. After several phone calls and e-mails she was able to find us a beautiful condo to rent on the dates we wanted. Kathy went way out of her way to assist us and we thank her very much for that. This place (Condo #504) is simply amazing! From booking with owner Kathy to our departure from Infinity Bay, everything was smooth, easy and hassle free. Kathy assisted us with booking our reservations via several email communications, but it didn’t stop there. She even contacted the resort to ensure our transportation to and from the airport. The friendly staff at Infinity Bay greeted us at the airport and took excellent care of us the entire week. Even though we booked the condo through this private rental with the owners at a price that was LESS THAN HALF the price that was offered by the resort on their website, we still received the same courteous services as every other Infinity Bay guest. Infinity Bay offers everything in one location. The bar became our meeting place where we mixed in with the locals along with some of the friendliest staff and other visitors. No need for a rental car. So many other bars and restaurants were in walking distance, and if it wasn’t, you could get just about anywhere by water taxi. The on-site security staff makes it one of the safest places on the island. We have been to Roatan several times, but this location and this specific condo was by far the most enjoyable of all. This condo is one of the larger units at Infinity Bay. The owners have stocked it with more than your basic amenities and furnishings: newly upholstered furniture, a paperback library, board games, etc. From the balcony, which overlooks the huge infinity pool, you have the view of the turquoise waters which are only steps away. Infinity Bay by far has the most beautiful beach on the island and some of the world’s best snorkeling and diving right off this beach. A true paradise! Kathy- we look forward to our next trip back!
