Our 3 bedroom 2 bath home on the 6th Tee and fairway of the Ocala National Golf Club is perfect for first or second honeymooners, but spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a party of 6 when not reserved for our special honeymoon guests.
Both the rec room and the oversized Master bedroom have sliding glass doors that open to a vista of lush 'Old Florida' fauna and flora; huge oak trees, Spanish moss, and tropical plants and birds. The one acre property is nestled between the horse farms on the east and the Golf Course on the west. The Golf Course has been redesigned by Rees Jones and was host to the 2009 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship in October 2009.
Watch TV, play cards, or billiards while sipping your favorite refreshment in the rec room or on the back porch as you enjoy the wonderful backyard vista and the 6th Tee and fairway.You can see butterflies and humming birds, pileated woodpeckers, osprey and cardinals from the breakfast nook in the kitchen.

You'll have the whole acre to yourselves but be conveniently located near restaurants, Publix Supermarket, Walgreen's Pharmacy, hair salon, nail boutique, Silver Springs attractions and open air concerts. There is a local flea market, and Jai Alai is only 15 miles away!
HITS is only 7 miles away. It's so convenient for both spectators and competitors!
Back porch living: You'll love the screened back porch with its ceiling fan and lights. There are two tables on the back porch: one with four chairs, and one with two swivel chairs. You'll be able to relax out there reading a book, eating, barbequing your steaks on the gas grill, or playing cards while watching the sunset over the golf course.
Early in the morning it's a great place to read the paper and sip your morning coffee as the birds come in to feed or enjoy the bird bath. There are always squirrels chasing each other up and down the trees or those enormous pileated woodpeckers going from tree to tree searching out their morning feast.
There are osprey crying overhead, cardinals, and when it rains and the retention pond fills, you'll see ducks, egrets and other water fowl swimming or feeding.
Walking, jogging or bike riding: Whether you enjoy jogging, bike riding or walking, you'll find the neighborhood streets of Golden Hills a wonderful place to exercise. You'll see neighbors out on their morning strolls or bike rides, young mothers pushing strollers, or people riding in golf carts. As you head north on our street, you'll see horse ranches to the right.
The location is the best of both worlds, the golfing community on the west, the equestrian community on the east.

Great location in a quiet well kept golf course, with good access to Ocala and all the horse farms, auctions etc. We stayed for a month working in Ocala and visiting Gainsville. Easy access to both East and West coast and other golf courses, lakes and trails. Only 1.5hrs from Orlando Airport, which is an easy journey. Great pool table, nice gardens etc, comfortable beds and good facilities ansd TV's, could do with a CD player. We enjoyed our stay and the owners were very good. Richard, Matt, Joe UKRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This is a very nice house in a great location! It is easy to get to Ocala yet outside of the busy area. We spent a wonderful month in this spacious 3 bedroom house. It was 35 minutes from family in the Villages and 15 minutes from family in Ocala. Morning walks were peaceful and lovely with the nearby horse farms and horses for viewing. The lanai overlooks a large backyard that was home to lots of birds. We spotted a red shoulder hawk as we enjoyed our morning coffee. We enjoyed being able to entertain numerous friends and family in this very welcoming home.Owner response: Carol and her husband were great guests and left the place spotless. We are so pleased they've decided to return next February.

The house is in a closed community, very quiet with nice neighbors. There is plenty of outdoor space for children to explore and quiet streets where to walk, jog or just take a stroll. It is very well located conveniently outside of town with quick access to the supermarket, the airport, Hits, Horse and Hounds Restaurant, the tack shops, Hwy 75. The House is very well equipped, with all the necessities and appliances in perfect working condition. The owner really cares about providing a good service and she is on top of everything. I really reccomend this house for anyone that wants to feel at home, wether as a couple or with children.Owner response: Elena and her delightful children were wonderful guests and took excellent care of our property. They are welcome back any time!

Have stayed for 2 months -- this is a great place. Not only very well cared for - clean, organized, nice beds & linens, but the setting is just superb. Back view from lovely sceened porch is of sloping landscaped yard to water hazard around fairway of golf course -- perfect and private. Kitchen has all you need. House is spacious with excellent tv/dish/dvr/wifi.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

When we arrived the owner was their to greet us to this lovely, stylish yet cosy home overlooking the golf course. We were shown all over and how everything worked including the CD player which was well used by the chef. We ate in qiuite a lot and were happy with all the kitchen facilities. The lounge was really nice and the TV huge (by british standards anyway) It wasn't alone either as it had a twin in the pool room and a relatively bijou friend in the bedroom. The weather was cool at night whilst we were here but the heating was good and there was a nice log fire to light which was very cosy. The two bathrooms were good and the showers were excellent. The master bed was really comfy and the electric blanket was a great feature. Ocala and shops are all handy and if you fancy a trip to the Daytona environ the Parkway drive there and back is very pleasant. Again Orlando is not that far away either. We really enjoyed our weeks stay and wished it had been two or three weeks longer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We spent 5 nights over the Christmas holidays. There was 3-6 people each night and there was plenty of room. We wanted some place quiet to get away and relax. The house was perfect for this. The house was very spacious and the ambiance was great. The room with the pool table and large screen TV was a favorite with our family. Publix was very close and it was easy to get on the interstate to go to Ocala to visit the mall or go to restaurants. The only negative was that we could not use our cell phones in the house on a consistent manner.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.
