Really comfy house for a Fripps Island Stay

My husband and I stayed at this property a few weeks ago. It was a first for the property and a first for Fripps Island. We enjoyed both. The home is spacious with lots of light and the views were quite nice. From the living room and adjacent deck, there is both a golf course and slightly further away ocean vista. The living room was very comfortable for sitting and watching TV or reading a book and the dining area was also comfortable, looking out on the golf course vista. We would not hesitate to recommend this villa and would like to return there ourselves some day.

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Excellent home to relax and kick back

My husband & I stayed at this home in September 2011. It is very comfortable,clean and has a great view of the ocean and a fairway. The people that work on Fripp Island are very friendly and helpful. We ate at a place called the Shrimp Shack for lunch which is just before Fripp Island and it has the best flounder sandwich I have every had. This location is close to Savanah and Hilton Head and both are a must see. The Wards were most helpful with info on everything in the area. If you are interested in this area we would highly recommend this property.

FANTASTIC! A DISNEY EXPERIENCE ON FRIPP!

This home is lovely and extremely clean. You can tell the owner really cares and it was perfect for my wife and two young sons. We had a blast riding the blue golf cart (rented from the owner) and all the restaurants in the area were very good. If you like a CLEAN, QUIET home and one great BEACH with plenty of wildlife all around, you will love this home on Fripp. Also no need to bring anything especially kitchen utensils the Wards have thought of everything, they even had small arrival bags made up for the boys with small toys and cookies sitting on the table upon our arrival. THANK YOU

Very quiet and relaxing

While the family isn't new to Fripp, we were new to this side of the island. The house is in a remote part of the island that gets VERY little traffic. This was wonderful having 2 small children. The layout of the house is ideal for a family. The house surprisingly was very quiet making it easy to curl up to a good book or take a nap. The one thing Rick and Peggy do not brag about is this house only has 6 steps to climb. What a joy it is unloading the car for the week and not breaking your back hauling everything up and down steps. As usual there were plenty of deer and alligators. The golf car we rented through Peggy and Rick was waiting on us when we arrived as were the ammenity cards. Peggy and Rick were extremely helpful and answered any questions that we had. This is the 4th house we've rented on Fripp and we would not hesitate to rent again.

I only want to set the record straight, there are eight steps, and while the street where the house is located is a cul de sac with very little traffic, the house sits on the 16th fairway with a view, albeit a distant one, of the ocean. We enjoyed our stay at your home. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the patio which we thoroughy enjoyed as we watched the golfers and have the urge to try it ourselves. It was so relaxing and of all the time I have been vacationing, I was surprised that the kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances, cookware, dishes. What a nice addition, as I have personally toted pots and pans with me so that we had everthing we needed to cook with. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the deer come up to our patio. I would recommend this home to anyone who would like to relax, ride a golf cart,enjoy the deer and the golfers and need I forget the alligator that resides in the lagoon. July 2009

Wonderful island and home. This was the most relaxing vacation our family has had! The home is clean and bright. It was easy to feel "at home" right away!

Also, the home had a lot of extra amenities that made our stay even more enjoyable. Our 9 month old loved to watch the deer off your back deck. The kids loved the wildlife, especially the tree frogs that visited the sliding glass door each night. The house was great and provided a headquarters from which to operate. Rick and Peggy: My parents and I had a nice stay. Everything was so comfortable! Our grandparents came along with my aunt and we loved the couches so much that my friend and I preferred to sleep on the couch. The view was magnificient, everynight we would find ourselves on the porch staring up at the stars. A good thing your house was so nice because it rained one day and we're stuck inside, therefore we got out a puzzle. One more thing before we leave, since we are packing up, I loved the bikes! My sister's boyfriend and I found them and rarely put them down. Fripp is a nice place to use them. Well, we enjoyed our stay. Hope everything is back in its place. Signature

This is truly a comfortable home. The beaches are beautiful, the pools were relaxing and Fripp Island is a joy to visit. The house offers all the conveniences of home; the kitchen is wonderfully stocked, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the rooms are decorated with style. We could not have been more pleased with our rental experience. We will visit again!
