I worked in finance for many years, now I own a marketing business in UK. My family and I love to travel and we fell in love with Thailand years ago. We feel so lucky to now own a place there and love to visit as often as we can.
Why the Owner Chose Chiang Rai
We chose Doi Tung because it's so peaceful, but only 40 minutes from all the amenities of Chiang Rai city. It's also just 20 minutes to the Golden Triangle and Burma so there's lots to do close by.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
Doi Tung Villa has a special charm, I totally relax as soon as I arrive. I love swimming in the pool and fishing in the ponds and the gardens are so huge it feels like you have an entire resort to yourself. I love just sitting on the terrace with a beer in my hand, enjoying the view and the cool mountain breeze - it's paradise.

I visited Chiang Rai and stayed at the Doi Tung Villa with my family for 3 days in Dec. 2008. It was a magical experience. The house was very tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable - a very homey feel. The land and gardens were fun to explore and the staff was helpful but not overwhelming. Touring the Doi Tung Gardens, Golden Triangle and Mae Sai was also enjoyable. The kids enjoyed swimming and walking around the ponds while my wife and I were satisfied reading books and looking at the view. We will certainly be back.
