This lush landscaped lakefront home is nestled among stately palms and oaks. The expansive plantings provide privacy and beautiful secluded views of the lake and its abundant wildlife from the backyard courtyard, pool, and main living areas. Blue Heron, Ibis, Egrets, and Roseate Spoonbills are just a few of the birds that make daily appearances on our shores, while turtles, ducks, and squirrels come out to feed just beyond the pool area each evening on the wide expanse of lawn protected under towering oaks.
The interior of the home is light-filled and cheerfully painted in bold hues. The comfortable living area has bright woven carpets and art from around the world. There is bar seating with four stools near the cedar dining area overlooking the pool. The kitchen has new appliances, and every dish and service you will need for dinners in or outside on the patio. The laundry area with washer and dryer is conveniently located just off the kitchen. Entertainment is available from the stereo CD player, Cable TV with VCR/DVD player and wireless Internet.
In the master bedroom, you'll luxuriate in a king-sized bed, a walk- in closet, enjoy Cable TV, and an en-suite bath with shower. A small office area overlooking the pool is the perfect place to use the high-speed wireless Internet, or take your laptop to the pool and anywhere in the surrounding garden. A second bedroom in the front of the house has ivory beach hues with a queen-sized bed and walk-in closet while the third bedroom has Florida Beach-themed bedding on a king-sized bed with ample closet and bureau space. The two back bedrooms share the central bath with both tub and shower.

A note from Steve and Laurie:
Having raised a family in South America while teaching internationally, we were naturally drawn to Southwest Florida’s tropical climate and serene beauty. We spent our first year on Ana Maria Island, and quickly grew used to our evening beach walks at sunset, weekend swims with dolphin sighting, and some of the best fishing in the country. As we moved out to explore the Boutique city of Sarasota with its artistic influence on museums, theater, and outstanding restaurants, we realized there was a great deal more to experience in the area. Our present home puts us right in the center of everything!

This was our second time staying at this house and we absolutely loved it. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We are a family with two young children and a dog and the house was perfect for all of us. The kids especially loved the turtles in the pond and seeing all the different birds. This is a very quiet neighborhood and is close to all different kinds of restaurants. We highly recommend trying the pizza place across the street, behind Applebee's called Casa Di Pizza!!

Our family coming from CT, NYC, and California enjoyed your lovely, comfortable home! We recently lost our dear sister and appreciated being able to be together in such a peaceful setting, close to the water, the stores, pharmacies, main roads and anything we might need. Watching the birds on the backyard lake and daily parades and visits by the "red hat lady ducklings was very nice. Thank you for making available your delightful home which was perfect for our needs!

This home had all we needed in quiet, lush location. We enjoyed the nearby wildlife and enclosed pool. Area beaches and dining were good. We also enjoyed the comfortable beds and furniture.

Summer has been generous to us, as well, with new bird citings daily off the pool, the hatching of 20 fuzzy little headed mallards now swimming expertly on the lake, and brilliant turquoise water on the coast of Anna Maria!

I had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home during November and enjoyed myself immensely! Though the house and air were cool, I enjoyed a 90 degree pool! It was beautiful at that time of the year, and the lake and pool can be seen from all the common areas of the house!. Steve has done a great job with the plantings making the pool cage private and intimate. The master bed is firm and cozy under a pile of beautiful quilts! Looking forward to coming back to enjoy more time at the house next year with my family!

I just stayed in this gracious home for 10 weeks and loved every minute of the time. The home is warm and inviting and has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. You will not be disappointed if you rent this home.
