Fancy a cozy log cabin that’s got it all--view, lake, and woods? Lakeside at Hawksnest provides it all in one package, situated in an intimate setting around a lake in Seven Devils, perfect for a couple or a family to unwind from stress and enjoy the lovely natural setting.
This charming Banner Elk cabin rental will please you with all the comforts of home and more, and it’s walkable to the community lake. As you enter Lakeside, the warm tones of honey-colored logs and authentic chinking convey comfort and nostalgia. The exposed beams, 30-foot tall stone-faced wood-burning fireplace, and cabin decor provide rustic touches and a delightful connection to the mountains.
In the great room, relax in the cozy overstuffed seating while enjoying a fire or watching the flat screen HDTV or a DVD from their large collection. The convenient kitchen , complete with an island, has been stocked with new dinnerware and kitchenware, ready to make your cooking experience simple and enjoyable, while the lovely dining table seats all eight guests comfortably. Step out on the decks at Lakeside for outside dining, unwind in the hot tub and soak in the views of the surrounding mountains, as well as the nearby lake.
Decorated with charming wicker furniture and in cheerful, bright colors, the main level’s master bedroom welcomes you with a queen bed for your comfort. The convenient loft upstairs (with futon) provides another perfect place to sit and enjoy the pleasant outside views or a good book.
The other two bedrooms will please you with their soothing furnishings and comforting beds. The lower level is designed for entertainment, with its 50” flat screen HDTV and Wii, and DVD systems, pool table with ping pong top, and large chalkboard, perfect for Rembrandts of all ages or game scoring.
We will be happy to make your stay even easier upon request, if you’d like a stocked pantry and refrigerator. We also can provide information on area attractions to enjoy your stay with us in the High Country. We welcome you to Lakeside at Hawksnest for a glimpse of log cabin living, yet with all of today’s conveniences. Lakeside is located close to Hawksnest’s snow tubing and zip-lining, as well as local ski resorts, and short drive to the local towns and attractions.
For larger groups, consider renting this cabin with Lazy Daze just two doors down.
Depending on the home, Blue Ridge Vacation Cabins recommends 4WD, chains or sometimes both when visiting the mountains in winter. We are happy to help you find the home with the winter access you are most comfortable with.

We had such an amazing time while staying at Seven Devils! From Hawksnest Zip lining, gem mining, and trout fishing we had a blast! This was the perfect cabin for your family to stay in. This house was magic from the moment we entered. Everything was perfect, comfortable, luxurious, and beautiful! My wife and I have not yet even had the chance to stay at the lakeside at the hawksnest; and we are already impressed. We rented this cabin in June and we had a great time. The cabin is beautiful and very spacious. Two families (ages 2yrs - 82yrs old) shared the cabin and it slept 10 people with ease. The view is great especially from the hot tub. The pool table is in need of some repair but the kids still had fun playing. There is no A/C so if you rent during the summer... beware the upstairs bedroom can be a little warm at night. We wish there was more information left in the cabin regarding the waterfalls that were only a 1/2 mile hike. We had no idea which way to go or even where to start. I blindly planned a vacation for my family (8 adults and 4 children, ages 8-70) at Lakeside at Hawksnest. I was impressed as we entered the community, but once we walked through the door and toured the cabin everyone, young and old, was excited about the offerings. The description and directions on the site and as well as the directions provided wtih the rental agreemet were perfect.
