Grill and eat out under the trees at the outdoor kitchen, relax in the outdoor hot tub, and build a fire on the outside deck. Hardwood floors and stained glass make your stay cozy.
This home is within two miles of the second most popular whitewater rafting river - The Nantahala - and is close to the Cherokee Indian Reservation. The mountain drives such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Great Smoky Mt. National Park, and Pisgah National Forest are awesome for auto touring! Recently built is a zip line in the Nantahala Gorge area patterned after famous zip lines in South America. The John C. Campbell Folk School and Stecoah Valley Center afford traditional mt. crafts, classes, and music for your entertainment. Premiere trout streams are close by with fishing guides available. Day trips to Cherokee, Standing Indian, the Cherohala Highway, Joyce Kilmer Forest, and Wayah Bald are just a few. Outdoors is what these mountains are all about ... Why the Owner Chose Nantahala
The mountains in this area are the most beautiful anywhere in the world! Because there are cool mt. breezes nightly, there is air condition only in the bedrooms. Most nights the windows are open to the night sounds of tree frogs and crickets. I have a great book and video library for the guest use and there is an attic room for kids with a tv and games/movies. This house has many decks and stairs/steps. With these steps and a pool included, guests must use the home at their own risk.
