If your idea of the perfect mountain vacation includes sitting in a rocking chair and looking at a spectacular mountain view, then Blackberry Knoll is the place for you. The sunrises are gorgeous as the sun rises in the wide open sky over the Blue Ridge Mountains. The stars are also beautiful in the clear mountain sky and the moon often shines in a fashion that is picture postcard perfect.
When you are ready for action though, there are plenty of activities to do. In McCaysville which was the site of the 1996 Olympic kayaking events, you can go rafting, tubing or kayaking in the Toccoa and Ocoee rivers. There are also plenty of trails and waterfalls to explore at in the Parks. You can also go fishing or boating in Lake Blue Ridge or one of the many rivers and streams around. If horseback riding is of interest to you, that is nearby also. Many folks also enjoy taking a train ride through the mountains on the Blue Ridge scenic railway.
When you are done outdoors, there is plenty of shopping and dining in the nearby towns of Blue Ridge, McCaysville, Ellijay, Jasper and Cherry Log. There you can find antiques, rustic furniture, clothing, crafts and many other things. There are also several orchards and many restaurants that are worth checking out.

Why the Owner Chose Blue Ridge
We chose to buy a vacation rental in this location as the splendor of the mountains is a peace that has always brought us a sense of rest and appreciation for beauty. No matter the season, we find the mountains to be incredible year round.
Our cabin has a stunning year round mountain view that is difficult to find. Our location is easy to find just off of Hwy 5 between Blue Ridge and McCaysville. There are many activities to do with in minutes from our cabin.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
This cabin is our favorite place to sit on the porch, coffee in hand and bask in the beauty right in front of us. Regardless of the season, the mountain view is always beautiful. We also love to browse in the antique shops, and eat in the local restaurants. We also enjoy a lazy tube ride down the Toccoa river on a hot summer day as well as exploring the many beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails in the area. You can also find horseback riding and fishing nearby.

Hello fellow travelers! I am glad that you have taken a few moments to look into renting my cabin. The mountains is one of my favorite places to visit. I love sitting on our cabin front porch and gazing over the mountains early in the morning with a good cup of coffee and enjoying all that God has created for us to enjoy. Over the years God has allowed me to travel to many places all over the world doing mission work. I own a plumbing and septic business and recently finished seminary with degree in Theological Studies. My hope is that this cabin be used to grow family and friends closer together and provide relaxation and refreshment from the cares and concerns of this life. We look forward to hearing from you! Great cabin, beautiful view at dawn and dusk. We left something at the cabin and the owner sent it back to us. He wouldn't even accept payment for postage. Had a great time there. I would definitely go back.

We went to this beautiful place right after Christmas with our family and three small kids. They had a wonderful time being in this peaceful place, exploring the wooded area nearby. The view of the majestic mountains is breathtaking... The amenities are wonderful and the beds are comfy. The hot tub was a treat! I highly recommend this place!

Our family spent four days at this adorable cabin and really enjoyed ourselves. Our children really enjoyed exploring the cabin and the area. This was one of the best experiences that I've had with the rental manager. Very helpful, responsive and pleasant! Thanks for a great getaway.

I brought my youth girls bible study group up here for an over night stay this past weekend. We had an amazing time. Wish we could have stayed longer. Getting up for the sunrise is a MUST. The view is panoramic; there are just no words to describe it. You have to experience it for yourself. The cabin is very well maintained and the owner is very helpful in giving you ideas for things to do in the local area. I felt like I was visiting someone’s home , not just a rental property. The Mercer Apple Orchard is just a bit down the road and lovely to drop in on. I brought back half a bushel of their Fuji's ... YUMMY.

The greatest place to stay!!! Sunrise from the front deck. Mountains everywhere and the sweet sound of peace all around. Our family had such an incredible time! So much to do and even if you need to drive a little ways it is worth it! Our 3 yr old loved it so much she was sad we had to leave. 100% recommend staying here!!!! We look forward to returning, next time will be around the fall season to see the leaves change color!

The cabin was absolutely wonderful!! So warm and inviting. The view from the front porch of the mountains was breathtaking. We enjoyed our weekend immensely. Everything was so clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed the hot tub especially after a day of shopping in downtown Blue Ridge which is only minutes away. I am planning on coming back in December for the Santa train with our grandsons. Thanks so much.

My adult children and I just stayed for a week at Blackberry Knoll at the end of August and we absolutely loved It! The cabin was beautiful and very clean with more amenities than we expected. It looked exactly like the pictures show and was very spacious and comfortable. The view of the mountains was spectacular! The cabin is up on a hill and you can see mountains from almost every angle. There's nothing like sitting on a huge cabin porch in rocking chairs, gazing at the mountains and smelling the fresh air. It was one of the most relaxing and peaceful places we have ever been. I am typically not a morning person, but made a point to get up to watch the breathtaking sunrises over the mountains. We also enjoyed winding down for the night out on the deck in the hot tub, while gazing at the stars. The sauna was a nice bonus, but we realized that we had so many fun things to do that we hardly even touched the pool table! We originally were going to stay near Gatlinburg, Tennessee because we thought there would be more things to do, but took a chance going to Blue Ridge, Georgia instead because we liked the look and location of this cabin and we couldn't have made a better choice! We explored the small towns and quaint shops, did some hiking around the cabin, took a drive to Chattanooga to walk around, took a lot of scenic tours and also went to a state park and hiked some waterfalls. On the way to one of the falls, we even spotted a baby black bear, which was one of the most exciting experiences in our lives! We also were fortunate enough to have a night bobcat run across the road in front of us one evening near the cabin. Of course, we also just hung out at the cabin a lot, because it was so enjoyable to be there. The Blue Ridge area in general is very beautiful and there's things for all ages to enjoy. My kids really enjoyed Mercier's Orchard store and restaurant down the road and it also came in handy when they needed wi-fi. We were pleasantly surprised that we had perfect cell phone reception at the cabin! I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone. It by far exceeded our expectations and was one of the most enjoyable and memorable vacations we have ever had. The only downside, was that the week went by too fast and we had to leave!! We hope to go back in the future.

My husband & I stayed at Blackberry Knoll for our anniversary & fell in love with the place! The cabin can easily sleep 8-10 people! We really enjoyed the hot tub & huge whirlpool tub in the master bath. The master bed is so incredibly comfy that you just may linger a bit longer than usual! The entire cabin was well stocked, so just bring your toiletries. Sit on the porch or in the living room & enjoy the stunning mountain views! There's a Food Lion grocery store within 10 minutes & a Walmart within 20. Don't forget to stop by Mercier Orchards (just a few minutes from the cabin) where you'll have the BEST apple cider and homemade fried pies! A trip into Blue Ridge to ride the train is a real treat, and a short hour scenic trip through the mountains will take you to Helen, GA. Oh, and don't dare miss Cucina Rustica (an Italian restaurant about 15 minutes away) where you'll enjoy a casual, cozy atmosphere of genuine Italian food at an average price! Make reservations! We're already planning our next trip to Blackberry Knoll & highly recommend the place! You WON'T regret it!
