Wonderful weekend Stay!

We spent a glorious Columbus day weekend in this condo. I have spent considerable time at Stratton, and had not realized how centrally located Bromley is-- only 6 miles to Manchester center, which cuts off at least 20 minutes. We biked, hiked, and many other activities are so very close (e.g., golf, swimming, skiing of course, kayaking, etc). Owner provided clear directions as to procedures for opening up and closing down. Any questions we had when there (e.g., where to get firewood if needed-- which we did not need-- and we had a very nice fire every night. There was still plenty left when we departed!) were readily answered by management company or maintenance staff. Back deck is lovely-- nice views, great to have breakfast, happy hours, etc. House is cozy-- not the first time I have stayed there. Has CATV, internet, etc. We had all of our meals there and all appliances work fine. Bed in master BR (only one we used) was very comfortable; place was clean. Extra blankets, etc., were available. Bottom line, we would certainly stay there again. It is an older unit, so consider that. But it is factored into the price of the rental.

Wonderful, Relaxing and Beautiful Setting on Bromley Mountain

Thank you. We had a wonderful time. This was our best vacation rental. The house was in great shape, beautiful fireplace, great location to shopping, hikes, trails and tennis. All the amenities were right on target. Sleeps up to ten people with room to spare. Easy to rent and easy to deal with the owner. We will rent again and looking forward to the ski season.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Not a place to spend vacation.

We rented this place for a week 7/1 to 7/8 2011 and place is no where close to described. Here are some bullet points to consider 1) It says sleeps 9-10 but really only 8 can sleep out of which 4 must be children. there are extra bedding but where would you extra bedding in kitchen or outside no other place in the house. there are 8 beds out of which 4 are bunk beds (2X2) in one room . 2) House was cleaned ok but the trash was covering the front porch for 2-3 days it was difficult to get in and out and when trash pickup came in the morning rang the bell to disturb everybody's sleep. 3) The two bedrooms are in basement which has high moisture and stinks badly, that is 60% of the house and not usable. 4) Most of the items in the kitchen are old/broken/hard to function. 5) Patio furniture is broken dont even try to sit there you ll hurt yourself. 6) Cleaning crew made a scene as they were not notified by owner for late checkout.the cleaning guys were rude. 7) Owner was informed for late checkout via email he never said anything untill we checked out late and he charged extra for late checkout. This professionalism really add to it 8) It took around one month, 20 emails may be 10 phone calls to get the security deposit back minus the late checkout charges 9) Still have not got any receipt for the payments which we have been asking from day one. I dont understand how can he be running his business without giving receipt this is illigal also. But all that owner refused to give receipt of payment which we needed for reimbursement. 10) Overall if you are considering for vacation and peace of mind I think you may not get that we almost wasted 10K and 1 week without getting basic purpose of vacation and spent nearly same time in getting the security deposit back. I should charge my time to the owner with the invoice :)

This is a wonderful place for a family vacation and one that will meet all your expectations for fun, relaxation, leaf looking or skiing . My family and I have been spending summer and winter vacations on Bromley Mountain since 1985. Ajay's review is filled with bold face lies and distortions of the facts, not to mention numerous misspellings. I made every attempt to answer more than 20 emails prior to his renting the townhouse. I answered emails on weekends and late evenings. He obsessively asked and tried to micromanage every detail in the contract. I should have never rented to him. He was never given permission for a late checkout and the cleaning staff showed up and he sent them away. He stayed an extra night and the cleaning staff came back the next morning. This resulted in my refunding a portion of the rental for the next renters. The weekly rental was $800.00, obviously not the 10K! he cites in his review. Ajay was disrespectful and dishonest. I stand by my reputation from the many previous and subsequent renters. This is a beautiful and affordable vacation spot for families who want to have a great time and make great memories.
