We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. It's name says it all! It was certainly a peaceful retreat. The cabin is super clean, well stocked, and decorated so beautifully. The owners were wonderful to work with when booking..My family and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed many of the local attractions, We even were blessed with a few light snow flurries. Our only regret is that our schedules didn't allow us longer to stay. Thank you Pam and Ted for sharing your belssing from God with us. We can't wait to come back !!

We stayed 3 nights at this cabin and we really enjoyed it here. It was very clean and very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the large wrap around deck. Very cozy location nestled in the woods. We've stayed in several cabins in the area and this is my favorite so far. The owner even called and checked on us to make sure everything was fine, that was a very nice touch.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at A Peaceful Retreat, as part of our first trip to the Smoky Mountains. The moment we arrived we were in awe of this beautiful cabin. The house was clean and very inviting. It had every amenity you could need for a relaxing vacation. We took advantage of the jacuzzi, which was perfectly located on the side of the house in complete privacy. We also loved the fire pit and the large yard. We recently showed pictures from our trip to friends and family and they just couldn't believe how great the place looked. Thanks to our accomodations at the cabin, our vacation was simply perfect. We would highly recommend to those who are interested in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. Thank you Pam and Ted for helping to make our first trip to Tennessee a memorable one! We hope to visit again real soon!

Thanks Ted & Pam for sharing your beautiful blessing with us !! It is truly a place you can see God's handywork. Yall have been just wonderful to work with on securing your place for our anniversary. Thanks for making it so pleasant & thank you so much for the wonderful Sparkling Cider, beautiful card and awesome book for us newlyweds. (You really shouldn't have.) We will apply those principles in our marriage. Everything was so lush & green, just the perfect setting for relaxation and intimate time together on Kevin and my 1st anniversary. Thanks for making it so special ! The cabin itself was very easy to find, even with the hidden drive. No crazy hills to climb ! But very easy to manuever, & how the cabin sits down the hill, but yet up is so beautiful. Nicely placed, and even though there is a cabin across the way, it is still mostly private. The cabin is so cozy, and felt like home away from home. You could feel the peace there. The decor is country/cozy. Love the nostalgic pieces you have in there, Pam !! A beautiful touch. Spiral staircase AWESOME! The place was spotless, with everything you could possibly need, ready & inviting. The only thing missing was a cozy fire burning in the fireplace since it was actually cool the whole time we were there. It did get chilly at night from time to time, plus there was some rain which kept it even cooler. Would much rather have used the FP than the actual heat just because of the coziness of it. I love a beautiful fire any time :) Next time though !! The deck is awesome with a great view. Total quietness. The only thing we heard was the frogs, crickets, and a couple of wolf howls. So awesome !!!! The drive in was very nice, great scenery, lots of quaint "General Stores" to stop and browse nearby. 5 minutes or so into Pigeon Forge, which has lots and lots of great shops, restaurants, attractions. Anything you could possibly want to do. About a 12 minute drive on in to Gatlinburg. An all around fantastic location. An amazing cabin that is so comfortable & beautiful ! You can't beat it for the $. We are ready to go back already, & we have only been home a day. We hope to come during December for a few days, & maybe do Christmas a little early up there. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be at that time !!! Thank you for sharing this with us !!! It means alot to us. Look forward to talking to you again soon, & hopefully meeting you both in person one of these days. Love in Christ- Lora & Kevin Middleton

We enjoyed our stay at "A Peaceful Retreat." My son's words to describe the cabin: Warm, Cozy, & Very Comfortable! I have to agree with him. The decor creates a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to just kick your shoes off. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning with coffee and breakfast. I especially enjoyed the hot tub, while the guys enjoyed the fire pit. There is something for everyone at this cabin and I highly recommend it!

I am beyond satisfied with my experience at "A Peaceful Retreat"! Myself and 3 guests found this cabin the perfect fit for our new years vacation. I loved the cozy feel of the cabin. It was close to town with just a few minutes drive yet far enough to drive up the winding mountain roads to get to the cabin. I loved the clawfoot bath tub and the small intimate feel of the space. We enjoyed the hot tub most every evening to wind down those cold tiring days on the town. We ventured out to the Titanic exhibit, Tanger outlets, The tram to Ober Gatlinburg, Sky Lift in Gatlinburg, and rode a lot of Go Karts .. all of which were exciting, fun, and I recommend! Also went to the New Years Eve Ball Drop in Gatlinburg, would definitely recommend to anyone coming down for vacation after Christmas I think we are going to make it a tradition! Our only issue was the hot water being spaced out between 4 showers and the dishwasher. Had to schedule a little so there was no cold showers (which happened to me about 2x burrrr!!!!). Oh, and we called the owners after repeatedly trying to open the door and the lock code did not work. Come to find out, We were at the wrong cabin!!! Driveway is a little tricky because it isn't exactly visible from the main road .. got the hang of it and no cops came from trying to break in to someones cabin haha! Also, I do not recommend Cici's pizza for out of town guests. Normally pay about $11 in my home town, but payed about $18 in Pigeon Forge simply because we were non-resident. Wouldn't mind if I received good service, but same old cold thin cici's pizza. Ted and Pam, thank you so much for letting me and my friends stay in this lovely cabin of yours. It has inspired me to make future visits to Tennessee and maybe even become a chalet owner in the future! I could not have asked for a better vacation! MUCH better than a hotel! And to future renters, A+++++++++++Experience and I HIGHLY Recommend!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Thanks for letting us stay in your cabin. You were very helpful in our reservations. The cabin was clean and provided everything we needed. We had a great time. After a day out, we loved coming back to a "peaceful retreat". We enjoyed building a fire in the fire pit. It was conveniently located near cades cove. We drove through twice and saw 14 bear. The most ever! We can't wait to stay again and will definitely tell others about your cabin.

All I can say is that the cabin is wonderful. The location is great. It is between all of the great attractions. The photos do not give the cabin justice; It is perfect and adorable. Everything was extremely clean and well-maintained. We had such a great time. The only regret is that we did not spend more time at the cabin. Advice: Make sure you reserve a time where you can enjoy the relaxation at the cabin including the hot tub, grill, deck, etc. I would highly recommend this cabin. We are actually planning on going again and again!

We have enjoyed Ted and Pam's cabin so much, that we have returned 3 times, always excited to be back. It is so comfortable and relaxing, close enough to town, but away from the city lights. We recommend this cabin if a 'Peaceful Retreat' is what you are looking for.

Rarely do you find a place that is, as described, A Peaceful Retreat is that and much more. Very clean, like new, and in a very quiet setting. Ted and Pam have thought of everything you will need. Decorated just right, gives you a feeling of comfort when you walk through the door. We come to the area 4-5 times a year and have stayed at several different places, A Peaceful Retreat ranks at the top. Ted and Pam answer any and all questions and are such nice folks to deal with. I will recommend this place to my family and friends. Thanks so much for sharing your place Ted and Pam

My family spent a week at the cabin and wished we could have stayed two weeks. The location is perfect for those who want to shop in Pigeon Forge/Sevierville or visit the National Park, but stay in a quite location. There was plenty of room for my 3-year-old to play in the yard, and I enjoyed rocking my infant on the porch. The cabin was clean and well maintained. This was the first time my husband and I have rented vacation accommodations and judging by this experience we will happily do it again. Working with Ted and Pam was easy and hassle-free. I hope to return in the future and have already recommended the cabin to friends and family.

My family of four stayed at this cabin for 5 days. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The kids especially liked the spiral staircase. My favorite spot was in one of the rocking chairs on the spacious porch. We liked the fact that the cabin was only a few minutes from downtown Pigeon Forge, but far enough away that everything was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely consider staying here again. Also, the owners answered all of my questions and handled the reservations quickly. We left a bag at the cabin, but did not realize it. The owner called me the same day that we left and was nice enough to make sure that he mailed the bag to me in Georgia. The helpful attitude of the owner just helped to show me how nice and considerate the owners really are. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others.

Wow!!!! It was everything we were hoping for. After a long hot summer (in construction world) it was just what was needed. We saw the sights of the area and also put a few miles on the rocking chairs while enjoying some porch sitting. The cabin was clean and the yard was well maintained. Owner's are kind and considerate.

This cabin is really very beautiful, from the gorgeous spiral staircase to the huge, spacious porch. I loved the owner's decorative sense. They have decorated with absolutely beautiful paintings (just the kind that I love with old cabins and creeks, etc.) and little clips of God throughout the house, which was well appreciated with us. The owners, themselves, were very accommodating to us as well. I really appreciated them being so nice and accommodating with us. I would definitely stay at this home again. Thanks again, for such a wonderful anniversary weekend and allowing us into your beautiful home!!!

My family and I visited this cozy cabin for a week. It was such a calming place to be. Dinner every evening amongst God's wonders was awesome. This was our whole family's first time ever experiencing the mountains. We had many first that occurred during our vacation. It is just a short drive to Cades Cove in which you can experience great wildlife or a short drive to Pigeon Forge to experience modern day vacation. We will return to this cabin. It had all the luxuries of home with a relaxing vacation feel. We recommend this cabin to anyone and everyone.

Absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! Truly "A Peaceful Retreat", excellant privacy, clean emaculant cabin, very well stocked with everything you need to cook, and not have to go into town. Loved the deck, with beautiful view, cows a mooing, and enjoyed a rainy night in the covered hot tub. It's out of town but, well worth it. We will without a doubt be back to stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful visit at the Peaceful retreat in September 2009. The pictures do not do it justice. The location is close to town, but still far enough away to have privacy. A deer even visited us one night by the fire pit. Anyone that is thinking of taking a vacation I highly recommend this property. We hope to visit again next year.
