Third coast Cottage is a unique cottage located just steps away from downtown New Buffalo in the heart of Harbor country. The cottage was renovated in eco-friendly manner from the ground up in 2008. Comfortably sleeps 4 guests. Perfect for a family getaway, a couples weekend or a solo retreat. The interior is bright and has an open floor plan. The yard is large and private with a charcoal grill, picnic table, motel chairs, a large fire pit. The cottage has wireless internet and cable. Eco-amenities include a large composter in corner of backyard, dual flush toilet, radiant floor heat in bathroom, and energy star appliances. A backyard shed includes bikes and snow shoes for guests to use to explore the surrounds during all seasons.

Had a wonderful stay at Third Coast -- owner was very helpful and provided great tips about the area prior to our arrival. House was charming, very comfortable and we LOVED the heated bathroom floor!! I want that luxury through my entire house! Short walk to downtown, but far enough away that we felt relaxed and almost somewhere else. A great little gem that we will definitely return to again. Thank you for a great getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Everything about the cottage was perfect! We went to the cottage for a 3 night stay over New Years Eve weekend. The decor of the cottage is very warm and the attention to detail is quite impressive. The cottage features numerous antique/collector type pieces of art and furniture that contribute to the cozy yet comfortable feel. We kept the large fireplace burning throughout the weekend as we cooked in the modern kitchen. The heated floor in the master bathroom is a very nice touch, especially in the winter. This is an exceptional house. Every detail was exquisitely designed, and the owner made it very easy for visitors to quickly settle in -- from the well- equipped kitchen to the smartly placed hooks. While you're likely to ooh and ahh over the construction and design, you'll most appreciate the comfortable, inviting space. It's clean and uncluttered, yet it has everything that makes a visit complete, including numerous guidebooks, fluffy towels and many amenities. We could not believe how beautiful this house was! It was in pristine shape with lots of eco-friendly touches. Yet it was very comfortable to stay in. The owner was really nice too! About the owner: I have been spending time in Southwest Michigan for many years and found this little cottage in 2006. I decided to buy it and renovate it with the goal being to create a unique retreat from Chicago.
