Blue Orca Cottage has amazing 280o views and sits on a peninsula high above rustic shorelines overlooking beautiful Pender Harbour and Agamemnon Channel. Close to Madeira Park, a vibrant marine community, and steps away from Daniel Point Marine Park; the possibilities are endless. Boating, diving, hiking, bird watching, storm watching, swimming, fishing, golfing, sight seeing, star gazing or simply enjoying the fascinating boat traffic are favorite activities in the area.
Post and beam details with soaring view windows and pine lined ceilings add warmth and character to the interior. Comfortable leather furnishings, cable TV, a wood stove(fireplace) and a separate bedroom with Queen size bed will make you feel right at home. The bathroom features a soaker tub and separate shower with luxurious towels and bath products.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with island. Some basic cooking supplies are provided to simplify your stay. Coast including beautiful Agamemnon channel and Nelson Island. Look for dolphins, seals and the occasional whale!

Year Purchased: 2007
My husband Kent and I have recently retired to our dream life on beautiful B.C.'s Sunshine Coast. I was a high school art teacher and now am an artist and jewelry designer. Kent, a retired member of the Vancouver Police Department is constantly occupied with the care and up-keep of our home, cottage, and grounds. Our home sits on an acre waterfront lot overlooking some of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. We look forward to sharing this amazing place with many guests. Welcome!
Why the Owner Chose Garden Bay
We built our cottage (carriage house) first and lived there while our main home was being built. We chose this location because it was simply the most beautiful place we had ever seen. We have travelled many places but believe nothing compares to Daniel Point! It may be off the beaten track for some but that is why we love it here!

The sunsets are unforgettable! Wildlife abounds all around; soaring eagles have a nest 1 block away, daily deer sightings are not uncommon. Explore amazing volcanic rock formations and tidal pools with a myriad of sea creatures just down a set of steps to Daniel Point Marine Park at the end of our driveway. The star filled night skies will take your breath away!

This is a beautiful property operated by two very nice hosts. I cannot imagine how a guest could not be delighted with a stay at the Blue Orca Cottage. My wife & I had a terrific experience. Accomodations are spotless, spacious and welcoming. Comfortable bed with quality linens. Similar to other reviewers, my first instinct is to remain silent in the hopes of keeping this place for myself... but the hosts have been generous enough to share their piece of heaven so I guess I should too.. Highly recommended - we hope to return often.

I have been to the Sunshine Coast several times and the Blue Orca Cottage is by far, the best place I have ever stayed. The owners are very friendly, honest and gracious hosts who have this amazing cottage for rent - perfect for a couple any time of year. The cottage has everything you need and therefore no reason to leave... It is obvious that the owners are very detail-oriented in the layout, design and decor of the cottage where you will find unique pieces throughout the home and the owners own art work adorns the walls!! I would highly recommend the Blue Orca Cottage for anyone that wants a true "west coast" vacation in style!!

We found Blue Orca on the web and it exceeded expectations. The views are spectacular and the cottage is very cozy, attractively furnished and well equipped. We felt at home immediately. The August weather was beautiful and we loved the fact that the Sunshine Coast is off the beaten track for tourists. Ocean and lake swimming, beautiful hikes, blackberry picking, meals on the deck, and delicious fried oysters in Sechelt made this a truly memorable week. If you're looking for a quiet stay with the absolute best nature has to offer, this is your place.

I can't begin to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at the Blue Orca Cottage. It was a wonderful way to spend Christmas and I dearly hope that we will have the opportunity to visit again, next time in the Summer!
