This property had everything to make our family have a great vacation. We had 13 adults ranging in age from 24 to 62 and 1 child age 2. With 3 full bathrooms and 5 bedrooms, great kitchen made our week very comfortable. The air conditioner was only needed for 3 nights and worked well. The yard was big enough to play out door games. The beach has a nice sand bottom all the way from the yard to the drop off about 200ft out. Nice long dock with boat rack for your boat and steps off the dock to wast high water was very helpful.

This is a beautiful and spacious home. We had 8 adults and older teens and there was more than enough space. Yard was great and we all enjoyed the fire pit. We have stayed on the south arm of Lake Charlevoix and prefer it more for skiing and tubing, but from this location we could be over there by boat in about 20 minutes. It was a plus to be in the the Horton Bay area and so close to the town of Boyne City. House was beautifully decorated and well maintanined although the kitchen could use a "deep clean". Only other issue was a neighbor next door who was a bit touchy about the noise volume and we weren't a loud group. We would certainly recommend this property.

This is a beautiful place on a nice portion of Lake Charlevoix. We are fairly particular about a place being clean, and this house didn't disappoint us! It is very functional and well laid out for a decent size group. We had 7 adults and 5 children and we didn't feel cramped. It is about 1/2 way between Charlevoix and Boyne City (10-15 minutes to either). Bay Harbor and Petoskey are both very close. It was a nice central location to explore the entire area. The back yard was a big hit with the kids - unlike other places we've been, there is actually a nice large yard leading to the beach. The fire pit is fantastic for smores for the kiddies. If you are looking for an inland lake, this is a good place to stay. It's not like staying on Lake Michigan (beach isn't nearly as nice), but you get the trade-off of calm water that the kids can play in. The beach is sandy and has room for the kids. The long dock is also fun to sit on and watch the day go by... enjoy!

Our family stayed at the Cottage on Lake Charlevoix from the 2nd thru 9th of July. It was one of the "Best Family Vacations Ever" ! The home was well appointed with details. The bedrooms were just the the right size. The kitchen was cozy and practical. The screened in porch with the hot tub was perfect! The backyard along with the firepit was charming and so relaxing. The weather was perfect along with a sandy beach and a dock. The town of Boyne city was quaint and The town of Lake Charlevoix was so friendly with Ice cream shops and some good restaurants. With that being said we will return to the Cottage at Lake Charlvoix. Bob R. Toledo,Ohio

This was a wonderful place! We had 4 adult children w/ spouses and mother. All were very comfortable in bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were super comfortable! House is beautiful, clean, and has everything you could want. Close to towns, shops and restaurants, but secluded enough for peace and quiet. Beach is great, fire pit is awesome – we had some great s’mores! Grill was very nice too. The walkway to the house is fabulous - what an innovative way to get across the somewhat marshy ground! Would definitely come back here - this was a VERY relaxing vacation for us all! FYI - not a complaint at all, just for awareness - parking is limited. We had 4 cars, one with a trailer, and had to do some juggling when getting in and out. Just want others to be aware!

Our family of 11 loved our stay. The four older grandsons slept in the bunk room, the 21-mo old had a crib in a 3rd floor bedroom, and there are 3 nice queen size rooms for the adults. There are plenty of bathrooms, as well. The yard is large, which was great for all the children. There is a large round picnic table outside where we played lots of card games and the fire pit is great for a marshmallow roast. The lake is shallow quite a way out and the lake bottom is sandy. There is also a nice sandy beach... a great vacation spot for families. The kitchen is well supplied and has new appliances. There is a slip with a boat lift for your boat.

We had 3 families (6 adults all week and several 20 somethings who were in and out) staying at this home and there was plenty of room. The first floor has a large kitchen, dining room, living room, TV room, half bath and laundry room. The furniture is good quality and very comfortable. The dining room table has 2 leaves and you can easily seat 10 around it. The second floor has 3 bedrooms (all with queen beds) and 2 full bathrooms. The third floor has 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed and crib; one with 4 twins) and a bath with a shower. We all thought the beds were very comfortable. The house is air conditioned and has a separate unit for the 3rd floor, so it is quite comfortable up there. The photos shown are very accurate. The porches, front and back, are great for relaxing. The hot tub is on the side porch. There is also a comfy hammock in the yard and a very nice fire pit. Since the house is on Horton Bay, the water is generally quite calm. It is also clean and clear with a nice sandy bottom. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a nice beach house in a great location. My only complaint is a minor one. There were not enough towel bars/hooks in the bathrooms.
