First of all, speaking with the owner, Dee, I knew we had made the right choice. What a sweet lady! She even offered to meet us when we got a little lost. But, luckily we found the cabin after she gave us directions from where we were. The cabin was probably one of the cleanest we have ever rented. The decor was lovely and homey. There were many inside games and tons of DVD's to choose from. When it was late and our grandson was ready for bed, he liked being able to go to sleep with a cartoon playing. The kitchen was stocked nicely and that was wonderful because we ate every meal there. The beds were nice and comfy. The loft ladder was a little much for a seven year old. Quite high! But older kids would find it quite fun, I think. The outside was awesome! The pond, lots of fishing happened in two days, we played basketball and my grandson first feared the tire swing, then absolutely loved it! We live on a busy street and it was so nice not to hear cars going up and down the road constantly. This piece of land is quite beautiful. Only noises to be heard were birds and frogs. The hot tub was just the right thing after a day of playing! And we had the opportunity to watch a mama bird and her babies while enjoying our soak. Right above us on the rafter! It did rain off and on the entire time, but it didn't ruin a thing. It is nice to go somewhere and feel comfortable and feel at home and this cabin (and the owner) did just that!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Scottie, Thank you so much for your review I am so pleased that you all enjoyed the cabin and the amenities we have for the cabin. I look forward to your return visit soon. Sincerely Dee Vincent

Thank you for the awesome experience in you Sweet Valley Cabin. My son and I cam for a week and still didn't have time for everything. Mikey is 4 and caught his first fish, loved the loft and hot tub; great games, also with your recommendation on the rainy days we went bowling at Sevierville Community Center (inexpensive and fun) and check out Forbidden Caverns, AMAZING!!!! Sunny days we hiked at Laurel Falls and enjoyed all the activities in Pigeon Forge. We will be back again soon. Take Care and God BlessRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I am so glad you had a great time with your son. That Sevierville Community Center and Aquatic Center with the water park, tennis courts and great play ground are so much fun at a less expensive price. Looking forward to your return stay with Sweet Valley Cabin. Thank you Dee Vincent

We arrived on 3/31/2013 for a 3 night stay. It was raining when we reached the cabin. However it didn't take long to get everything into the cabin. Their were four of us that included my wife and our two grandchildren. The girls were age 10 and 7. The cabin was larger then we thought it would be and the owners had everything in good working order. During the stay we took advantage of the basketball, the tire swing, regular swing, the hot tub, and the surrounding acreage. The pond was every ones favorite and yes there is fish in the pond. The televisions were used in the mornings and evenings. A lot of channels and good reception. The fire place and the hvac system kept us warm in the evenings and the early am. On the last night we had a bonfire down at the pond. Fire wood was located in the surrounding hills. We departed the cabin on 4/3/2013. We would recommend the cabin to anyone. Using a provided hot spot we had a strong signal throughout our visit. We will return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Sweet Valley Cabin. My three daughters loved sleeping in the loft and going fishing. My wife and I enjoyed watching the girls go fishing every morning as we watched from the front porch. The cabin has all of the amenities that you would expect and there were plenty of games and activities to keep the kids busy. Although you are not in the heart of Sevierville or Pigeon Forge, you are only minutes away from the activities and it was always nice to return to this cozy and secluded cabin. We would definitely rent this cabin again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much for such a nice review and I am so glad you and your family enjoyed our property. Hope to see you and your family back again soon.

You have a fabulous cabin for our 3 children ages 7, 9, and 15 months old. Our boys enjoyed fishing and feeding the fish in the pond. Basketball area is really nice. We could not think of anything negative about the cabin. The air hockey, games in the pantry and all those movies you supply is great entertainment for the whole family. We never left the property the whole time we were here visiting. We will surely be back! By the way the new bench table you put in the cabin works for our large family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Shane, Thank you for such a positive review, I am glad you enjoyed the cabin again with your family. We will see you next year.

My husband and me stayed in your cabin before and are return guests. It had everything you need to just stay around the property and have a romantic weekend away from the busy world we work in. The fireplace really keeps the cabin warm and cozy. The beds are so comfortable I don't remember having such a great sleep in years. It was raining early morning so we sat at the table by the window and had our coffee with the window cracked and could hear all the little noises from the surroundings of the cabin. I don't know what the last review was all about but she was way off maybe they should just stay home. You even had 2 complimentary robes hanging in the closet for going out to the hot tub which was so cool sitting outside under the roof while it snowed. So peaceful we even watched 2 deer walk around the woods while we were in the hot tub. We have been here before and will be back again. Love it that there are no neighbors!!!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your great review. This was great that you chose our cabin to return too we hope to see you soon. We are constantly making changes and improvements to our cabin. Thanks again Dee Vincent

We had a terrible time. Could not sleep for mice running in attic making noise. The sofa in living area had a worn out slip cover on it; not what the picture shows. Looked like the sofa was worn out, so they put a slip cover on it. Also, the only dining table was a big tall table with TALL stools designed for only 2 people. No other chairs beside some slightly shorter bar stools, but the bar was not intended to eat at (IE 1 place for someone to dine at the bar where you could put your feet under. Silky fitted sheets would not stay on bed. Living room shows a lamp, but it had no bulb in it and even after we put a bulb in it, it still didn't work. We even left 4 days early because of all of this, and the owner would not refund any money. The covered porch where the hot tub is misleading in the pictures. It is only the size of the hot tub, and if it's raining you must go outside in the rain to get to the hot tub. One star really rated it higher than it is.Owner response: Illene I am sorry that you had a terrible time. You had another couple that was suppose to come with you and when they cancelled you seemed to be distraught about it. When you had called up after it had been raining for three day and said you heard mice running around. I told you we have a pest control man that comes every month and takes care of the cabin and our cabin and we would have him come out that day which he did and he found no signs of mice. He stated you could not hear anything from the attic because of all the insulation on the flooring but you may of heard squirrels running across the metal roof or most likely rain. The sofa was purchased in 2008 and is not worn out or old in fact it is a purple plush couch in perfect condition. The slip cover is not worn out and you could have taken it off with no problem. But with all the stains on the comforter in the bedroom that you left behind from eating in the bed I am glad the slip cover was not removed because we would have been cleaning the couch also. The lamp in the living room had a light bulb and it worked. The glass table, bar stools and counter with bar stool is eclectic style. Sorry you were not happy with furniture in the cabin but all of it showed up in our pictures on the site. If you did not like silky fitted sheets which truly do not slip off of the bed as you stated. We do have more sheets we could have brought down and replaced on the bed for you if you requested. But I noticed you only used one bed and there was another bed in the other room which did not have the silk sheets on them that you could have slept in also. As far as the hot tub and the porch the pictures do show that the front of the porch is not covered and the hot tub is covered by a roof over it. My pictures also shows the table, chairs in the kitchen. I do not believe anything about the pictures are misleading. I have been in business since 2008 and have never had these complaints about sheets, table and chairs and I believe that the rain and the other couple cancelling had a lot to do with you trying to get a refund and leave early. I offered solutions to solve your problems but you just wanted to leave. If the weather ever is a problem while guests are staying at the cabin and they let me know, I have no problems letting them leave and rescheduling for a future date to finish out their stay. We at Sweet Valley cabin try to accommodate our guests as best as possible!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: We moved to Tennessee 2007 and built a cabin on top of a mountain and in 2008 we built this cabin in the valley. We would like to share the valley cabin with visitors to the Pigeon, Forge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Knoxville. Make your memories start here, we did.
Why the Owner Chose Sevierville:
We chose to build a vacation rental in this location because it is off the beaten path but close enough for all attractions and activities around. When we moved down we needed to stay in a rental cabin for 2 weeks and decided then we would build a cabin with no neighbor cabins next door to you and your family. Great place to have it all!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Enjoy the lush mountain surroundings in the summer, the colors in autumn, or come visit in the winter we decorate for holidays, ski in Ober Gatlinburg. Snuggle up in front of the fire place, read a good book or watch one of the 100 selections of movies supplied by us.
