This was our first visit to Hermosa Beach and we want to come back every year. This house is the PERFECT location. The best thing about this house are the custom windows in the living room that push all the way to the side to make the entire living room wall disappear. I could sit on the couch and fee like I was outside. I dont know that alot of other houses on the Strand offer this feature. We like it that we were on the 2nd floor as we could see all the action of the bikers, walkers, etc on the Strand without them looking directly into our unit. To address a few comments that another review made...yes, the unit is smaller than it appears in the picture. However, it is the best value for the price. The decor is so nice with lots of architectual detail. We are a family of 5. Our daughters are 15,14,and 12. We were fine with this space. Sure, if we had money to spare, we would have picked a 3 bedroom but we didnt want the additional cost. A previous reviewer mentioned the mattresses being uncomfortable. The master is fine. The kids didnt complain about the twins in the bedroom. The only one that I would say needed to be replaced was the pull out couch. We made due by putting an extra blanker under the sheet for extra padding. It was fine. The parking was convenient for this unit. The garage was just behind the building. We wished there would have been some loaner bikes in the garage available to renters but we made due by renting them just down the Strand. Back to the unit....it was clean and very well maintained. The pictures are real and it is that nice. We loved the showers and tubs alot. I can't say enought about this home. We are beginning to plan our trip back for April 2012 and hope we can stay in this unit again.

Stayed with my 4 teenagers. Really enjoyed the location. Easy walking distance to Hermosa Beach Pier and Redondo Beach Pier. Can also walk to Manhattan Beach Pier if you like to walk. Appreciated privacy of upper unit. Clean and bright, new furnishings. Kids enjoyed bodyboards and volleyball on the beach. Had challenges with temperature controls, fireplace and grill. Could be operator error. Mickey's Deli less than a block away. Rental agents excellent to work with, very helpful and good follow-up. Recommend both the unit and the management company.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children.

We had a great time on our vacation but there were a few things that I'd make it a point to tell those who are thinking of renting this home. First of all bring extra toilet paper & paper towels - even though they say they provide it, they don't provide much. Second of all the beds are not very comfortable. The queen in the Master is probably the best of the bunch. The 2 twin beds feel a little lopsided - so you kind of sleep up against the wall & the pull out sofa is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! If it's a couple in the queen & 2 kids on the twin beds then you're probably fine but not all adults. The place is very nice but much smaller than it looks online. There are lots of mirrors which make it feel bigger. It's also lacking a little in the cooking utensil dept. but we made due. The view is incredible & overall we really enjoyed our stay!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
