We were 6 adults and this house was perfect for us, confortable, well equiped, a lot of space and it was very quiet in the area. The onwer respond rapidly to our answers, and there is a lot of information avalaible in the house about the thing to see and to do ine the area. From there, it was very easy to drive to the Grand Canyon, We are cyclist, and there is nice bikepath in the area. We recommanded this house. Thank you

Family Winter Vacation

Our family flew out from Cincinnati, OH to visit a friend in Phoenix for a few days. We drove to the house in Flagstaff and stayed for 3 nights.....and what a wonderful experience it was!!! We had 5 adults and 1 teenager and the house was the perfect place to hang out and relax after 3 long days of skiing, site seeing and visiting the Grand Canyon! We all loved the fireplace(s), especially the one in the living room. The dining room table was our favorite hangout, and we played several games of Yahtzee and UNO each night as we enjoyed a brilliant fire burning in the background. Our whole family enjoyed the house and we would definitely stay there again. Thanks for making it a great experience!

We came up to Flagstaff for our daughters college graduation. We felt so blessed to stay in this wonderful accomodations for a full week in the middle of December. The house is warm and inviting, the couch with the large screen TV was a plus for our daughter. The kitchen was well stocked as we did alot of cooking and baking, watching the snow and having the fireplace going. They provided firewood and had plenty of storage for our weeks worth of winter clothes. We will most def stay here again, awesome location and a great price!!!! Thanjks for sharing your home with us.

The layout of the house was perfect for our multi-generational family gathering as we all had our own bedroom plus there was plenty of space in the living room and dining room for us all to gather. Our dog liked the fenced in back yard, as did our grand-baby. The house was very clean and looked just like the pictures. It was a perfect jumping off point to enjoy the Flagstaff pre-Christmas events. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We hope to go back next winter!

This is our second visit to the Patterson home. Its a great spot to explore Flagstaff. Out little dog enjoyed the back yard, my wife and daughter loved the soaps, lotion and decor, and my son enjoyed the big TV! The home has everything you need and is a great spot to explore Flagstaff, or just kick back and enjoy the pines.

Nothing beats coming "home". Visiting from NC, family of 4 plus Grandpa - this house was perfect. Fix some breakfast, pack a lunch, load the crock pot, and set out for the day. All amenities have been thought of. Only drawback was shortness of time we could spend in the area. Thanks guys.

Our family (me, my husband, our Lab, and our Doxie) has spent many lazy weekends at this vacation home. It has all the conveniences that pet parents look for: a Lab-sized doggie door, a nearby dog park, Lab-height food dish and water bowl, and a secure back yard with grass and lots of space to run around. But it also includs little touches that make it feel like a hotel, like a fresh scent in the air when we arrive and the scented hand soaps and lotions. Flagstaff has pet friendly businesses,like Bookman's, if you want to take a field trip with your four legged-dependants. I can't wait to go back!

Thanks so much for renting your home to us. We stayed the weekend while our son moved into his dorm at NAU. Loved the house. It was so nice to get up in the morning and cook breakfast. The office was a bonus. Being able to use the wireless internet to check on some of my work related business was so handy. My wife and I enjoyed our morning walks and were delited to find a nature trail right up the street. Can not say enough nice things about your home we will difinetly contact you in the future

The Best Ever

My husband and I stayed for 1 month this summer. We have used VRBO to find a location in previous years but this was the best ever! It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and well furnished. The large screen TV and DVD selections were a surprising, but nice, touch. They offered brochures for where to dine, where to walk or bike, where to shop, and where to find historical sites. The backyard was kept trimmed and dining outside was the one thing we enjoyed the most. The extra bedrooms were convenient for visitors and the study was great for computer use. It was well stocked with paper products and cleaning products, basically anything you needed was provided! There was a park in the area and a trail into the woods not far up the street for walking. We are definitely planning to return next summer. Hopefully for an even longer time!

We stayed here for 17 days in June and were really happy with our choice. We have stayed in several different vacation rentals in Flagstaff and this was by far our favorite, very clean, nicely furnished and supplied with everything you could possibly need(and more) Descriptions and photos are all accurate. Location is very good, a short walk to the park/ dog park, close to downtown and a very quiet neighborhood especially at night. We hope to return next year. Ate twice at The Cottage, very good meals both times, enjoyed lunches at the Delhi Palace, Simply Delicious and Greek Islands, all very good.

When we first pulled up to the house we thought maybe the pictures were better than reality. BUT once we walked inside it was more like WOW. The house was very nice inside. Good layout, nice bedrooms, nice bathrooms, good sized yard and comfortable furniture. There was plenty of room for six adults one kid and a well behaved dog. The house is also close to nice trails and the cute old town. There is a Safeway a couple minutes away for easy shopping. Bottom line is it was a great place. If you are heading to Flagstaff this is a great property to rent.

Spring break 2012

We stayed in Flagstaff the ten, eleven, and twelve, of march for spring break, as the kids and grand kids wanted to see the grand canyon. Eight of us of us were going, but my only grand son developed a cold, so he and his dad stayed home in Albuquerque to recover. So six of us went on and stayed at this house. Initially, we were going to stay in a motel, three rooms. But my wife found this vacation home on-line, and it was perfect, nice modern, good neighborhood, just like the listing said, I even forgot the keys in our vehicle one night, and everyone had such good time. The place is perfect for anybody wanting to enjoy the mountain town of flagstaff with family or friends. I am looking to stay there again, as some in my party want to ride those donkeys, they have there at the Grand Canyon down to the river. I think I will stay at this nice house in Flagstaff with all the conveniences. Sure beats any motel, however upscale it may be, Thanks to the owners who make this possible.

We stayed in this home for nearly a week visiting family who lived just a few blocks away (12/26 thru 1/1/11). The listing was accurate and the owners were nice to work with before, during and after our stay. We truly felt at home - the kitchen was stocked for cooking, beds comfortable & master shower relaxing. The wood burning stove made the living room cozy. Our two young children and two labradors were delighted with the 12 inches of snow that fell during our stay. We highly recomend this home and will stay here again in the future.

My wife and I rented this home to spend the Christmas holiday with family and friends. The home has a great location and was completely equipped to prepare a full Christmas dinner (including the turkey!). While the structure is older, lots of great improvements have been done inside to really make a comfortable place to stay. The fact that it is a one story home made it easy for our elderly grandfather as well. I've rented several properties in and around Flagstaff and this is one of the best.

it was a great house, really more of a lovely home. lots of conveniences that are not usually in a rental, like a good knife & good pot/pans. it has a very comfy couch in the livingroom plus a giant tv with tons of stations, and one in bedroom. the master bed was very comfy and the pillows were high quality and of all softness/hardness levels. the backyard was fabulous for us: grass for the dogs with a sprinkler system that went on long enuf for them to play in :-) also, table & chairs outside to sit and read. we were concerned about not having a/c but no worries! lots of windows & fans and cool breezes~~delicious. the only reason i'm not giving it 5 full stars is becuz neighborhood has houses close to each other near a busy street--not what we expected. the upside of this is that you are nearby wherever you wanna go. we were very pleased that what we saw was what we got, ie vrbo ad is realistic...this has not always been the case for us. and the owners were pleasant as could be when i had to call. i'd hardily/heartedly recommend this home for a restful vacation--several people could stay comfortably though it was only 2 of us + dogs. 4+*****

Relaxing and enjoyable vacation

We had an wonderful time at the home. The description listings and photographs were all accurate and the home was very clean and well-maintained. However, my elderly mother had difficulty in the shower because there were no grab bars and needed our assistance. The grassy backyard was fenced and our dogs enjoyed sniffing around to their heart's content. We had a birthday lunch at Josephine's restaurant in Flagstaff. The food was very good and not too expensive. We also spent time at the Lowell's Observatory to which was something we all were very much looking forward. Our favorite activity was spent sitting on the patio reading the stack of books we brought and cooking/baking in the clean kitchen. It was a very enjoyable vacation in a beautiful home. The homeowners were very helpful and fair. We highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get out of the Valley during the summer.

From sunscreen to binoculars to pancake syrup, this house has many unexpected supplies, just in case you've fogotten anything. Kitchen paper and plastic products to use for children and outdoors are thoughtfully provided and nice white Corning dishes and a full array of cookware and utensils made fixing meals a pleasure. The large screen TV and some DVDs allowed for nighttime relaxation after a full day's activities. This house is roomy, clean, and nicely decorated. It provided our party of 6 a comfortable accomodation and the dogs were happy and safe in the back yard. We recommend it without hesitation.

We've searched high and low for a suitable vacation property where our four-legged dependants (Lab and Doxie) are not only welcome, but have the freedoms of home. We found it with this vacation property. The grassy back yard was fully fenced and secure. The doggie door is just like the one at home. My better half and I were able to actually relax and not worry about letting them in and out every 15 minutes! They enjoyed all the fresh, new scents in the yard. Our Lab stood on her back legs trying to figure out the bird feeders! There was a nice park within walking distance and grocery shopping was just a short drive away. The house was clean and well kept. It's obvious the owners are proud of their investment. Can't wait to go back!

We just ended our 3 night stay in this vacation rental with five adults and one 3 year old. Being part of a large family wedding party, we could not have found a better place to accommodate us and the additional relatives who visited and shared meals with us during the day, both before and after the wedding. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked, there was plenty of towels (and the washer and dryer worked!)The patio area was a great place to entertain and relax with a cup of coffee, especially in the early morning and evenings. Definitely a family friendly place-- with the added bonus of historic Flagstaff just a few minutes away. Highly recommended!

This house is wonderful!!! Laid out beautifully, with plenty of living space, bedrooms, and bathrooms, it also has any amenity required. Laundry off the kitchen, high-speed wireless internet access, cable TV, you name it: it has it. Even garlic and seasonings if you forget something and want to cook! We enjoyed ourselves immensely and our 2 little Chihuahuas loved running in the backyard-and down the long hallway in the house!! Pet-friendly and immaculately and safely fenced in (with high fences). I can't say enough about this house. The sectional sofa, chaise, lounge, furniture in the living room can easily and comfortably sit 5 adults. Thanks for an awesome experience! I definitely want to stay here again!

We were so grateful that this home was available when the home we originally rented was double-booked! We ended up in a more central location to the sites and highways that worked out MUCH better for us and for all of our activities. We visited the Grand Canyon the first day, Page and a smooth water river raft the second day and Sedona on the third day. We had 1 adult and 3 children all agree that our vacation was a great one and the house fit us just right!

Ernie and Gerri, thank you so much for sharing your nice accommodations with us. We had a "girls' getaway" and stayed in Flagstaff for four days/three nights. There was plenty of room to spread out, the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were nice and clean (we LOVED the showerhead in the master bath!), the kitchen was spacious and well stocked, and we especially enjoyed being able to relax in front of the large TV each night. We took a day trip to the Grand Canyon, a trip to Page (where my daughter-in-law's parents live), and a trip to Sedona. Flagstaff was the perfect "central location" for these trips, and your house was a wonderful "home away from home" to come back to each evening. If we ever return to Flagstaff, we know exactly where we will stay! Thank you again.

This is a wonderful home for a family get away. It's in a great location and has ample room. We really appreciated all the little conveniences that made it feel like a home away from home. We absolutely loved our stay at this property. Ernie and Gerri were very professional, and refunded our deposit via paypal very promptly. We visited for spring break 2010 and our family of 3, plus grandma and the dogs had plenty of room to spread out. We were all so comfortable. Several times I thought to myself that it felt as if we were staying at a friend's house. We couldn't have been happier with our experience when we stayed in this beautiful home. Everything was well kept and very clean and fit our family of five perfectly. We took the kids sledding at the nearby Wing Mountain Snow Play Area and they had a blast. After a long day of playing in the snow it was wonderful having a warm fire at night. We will definitely be returning. If we come in the summer time we'll be bringing our Beagle Baxter to take advantage of the great dog run in the back yard. Thanks for everying Gerri and Ernie!

The house is in a neat, quiet neighborhood, and an easy drive to the mall, downtown, library and local shopping, as well as old Flagstaff. Day trips to Meteor Crater, Grand Canyon, Monezuma's Castle, and Walnut Canyon are doable and convenient. The house is well equipped and was comfortable for our five adults, having a complete and supplied kitchen, dining and living areas. While there we were comfortable calling it "Home."

A great place to stay in Flagstaff! House is very nice and is close to the Mt. Elden biking/hiking trails. The dog door and fenced in backyard worked great for my dogs. Looking forward to coming up again soon.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this house. The owners are very nice and helpful with all our questions. We cooked several meals, watched some of the movies at the place, and enjoyed the back patio. I highly recommend this rental property. PS. Try out Black Bart's steak house, great food and entertainment.
