Casa Kaeli is a beautiful custom designed contemporary palapa-style home, located on the beach between La Cruz & Bucerias! Created especially for casual tropical living, with three levels of exciting views, sparkling infinity pool, and wonderful sand beach just steps from the casa.
Enter through a small zen-like courtyard with gentle cantera fountain (beside a roomy garage.) Once inside the casa, you'll become captivated by the view and the comfortable, inviting home. Stained concrete floors with stone inlays, unique bathrooms, quality furnishings & custom light fixtures add to the overall enjoyment of the casa.
The greatroom has custom loveseats with an oversized equipale leather ottoman/cocktail table, art niches, and flatscreen TV. The kitchen features an 8' solid granite slab island and gorgeous hand-made primavera cabinetry. Everything is provided for preparing & serving meals, whether you want an elegant dinner or a casual grill fest.
Telescoping glass doors open the great room completely to the lovely oceanfront dining/grill palapa... which over looks the Bay of Banderas! A hammock beckons for afternoon siestas; upholstered banquet seating and comfy equipale chairs gather around the large handmade mesquite dining table. There are quality indoor-outdoor chairs for sipping morning coffee (or afternoon tequila!) while you enjoy the views. Often whales can be sighted from here, as well as kite sailers, yachters and just occasional passers-by on the beach below.
This casa is fantastic for entertaining! A Jenn-Aire gas grill and serving bar under the palapa become one with the kitchen & greatroom merely by opening up the glass doors. A great area for gathering, enjoying meals and conversation during the day, this special terrace becomes magical at night, with the twinkling lights of Banderas Bay as a back-drop!!
The infinity pool is on the first level, along with two guests bedrooms, a shared bath w/double sinks and walk-in shower, and palapa-fringed poolside terrace w/wet bar counter. From here, a grassy lawn & tiny beach palapa lead right onto the sand beach. What a place to spend the afternoons! You can walk for miles... to Bucerias or all the way to Nuevo Vallarta, if so inclined (8 miles or so.) When you had enough sun and sand for the day, retreat to your air-conditioned bedroom for a rejuvenating siesta.
A pretty master suite, with vibrant art & decor, is located on the entry level & has ocean views through primavera custom louvered doors. The bath features creamy conchella stone, bronzed details & copper sink. A second master suite crowns Casa Kaeli's top level (separate entry from the courtyard)... a very special studio space beneath a dramatic soaring palapa roof! Airy & roomy, with sitting area, kitchenette w/bar & gauzy tropical canopied bed. A unique & beautiful "jungle rustica style" bath with rustic 2-person shower opens to the outdoors... A small soaking spa on the ocean-front terrace offers wonderfully romantic balmy tropical nights!
Casa Kaeli is a perfect gathering place for your vacation on the Mexican Rivieria, designed with private get-away spaces as well as living areas for sharing the tropical life together. We must warn you, however: many of our guests have become home owners! This area and this lifestyle can become quickly addictive!!

Year Purchased: 2007
We are a couple of baby-boomers, originally from Alaska, who live on the Oregon Coast. Over the past 13 years, we have opened our beautiful homes to vacationers going to the Puerto Vallarta and Oregon Coast. We "discovered" Mexico for ourselves in 1995 & were immediately smitten by the lifestyle, weather and the people. Within 9 months, Casa Susana was being built in La Cruz de Hunancaxtle; incredible as it seems now, our only hesitation was that we would be so far from everything. In the years since, "everything" has come to us!!! We had Casa Kaeli built in 2007, designing it specifically for the tropical indoor-outdoor living/relaxation & casual entertaining that we have come to love. Like so many other northerners, about October of each year we feel the tropical "pull" and head for (or long for!) Mexico! It has been one of the greatest pleasures of our lives to have shared the wonderful memories in La Cruz with so many friends.
