This 6th floor unit has a view that is fantastic! It's also the top floor so no one above you. From the balcony, you can see down Ole River all the way east into Florida and north across Ono Island to Perdido Bay and west to Terry Cove. This location has it all from boat slips, tennis courts, and beaches.
It's a fisherman's dream, only 10 minutes from the docks through Alabama Pass into the Gulf of Mexico. A fish cleaning station and gazebos on the docks make it perfect. There is a pool on riverside and a pool on beachside.
The property is next to the Ono Island Bridge on Perdido Beach Boulevard on Perdido Key in Orange Beach, Alabama. The City of Orange Beach is only 25 years old and is one of the fastest growing beach destinations in the southeast, outpacing Destin, Ft. Walton, Seaside, and Panama City in 2008. We get major entertainment at our Wharf Amphitheater like Kenny Chesney who performed in August with Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert. There's also been Taylor Swift, Kelly Pickler, Brad Paisley, ZZ Top, Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp...just to name a few in past year. There's great local entertainment year round. The Wharf shopping area features restaurants, shopping, movies, and entertainment and has one of the largest ferris wheels in the southeast U.S.

Year Purchased: 2002
We bought our first condo in Orange Beach in 1998 but had been coming here from Mobile, Alabama for many many years to enjoy the gorgeous beaches. Our son who is 31 played in the sand as a baby and now his 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter enjoy our beach and pool. In 2003 we moved here full time after semi-retiring and now live in a condo nearby and rent our Wind Drift unit. There has been no looking back to the city. We love it here. A bad day at the beach is better than a good day any where else!
Why the Owner Chose Wind Drift
The entire area is great. There are 32 miles of the white sugar sand on the Gulf Shores and Orange Beaches. The people are friendly and it is easy to do business in this area. The Wind Drift condo is in a very convenient location to beach, boating, and other water sports, plus services such as libraries and post office, grocery stores, shopping, great restaurants, and entertainment.
