Some neighborhoods are just wonderful! Quiet, upscale, close to the ocean, easy walk to restaurants and shops, etc. This is one of them! Sit out on your large patio having a beer or glass of wine, watching the sunset on the ocean, hearing the waves and smelling the fresh salt air.

When the steaks are marinated enough, throw them on the grill. There is a table for 4 in the front and a table for 6 in the back. Free laundry room, really nice garage, and the duplex apartment is comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything you need to make your stay carefree.
Newly remodeled about one year ago, it has a queen bed in the first room, a double in the second room and a queen sofabed in the living room. Large flat screen TV, DVD, high speed internet with Wi-Fi, and free phone calls within the USA and Canada.

The location is superb! Within 3-9 miles of SeaWorld, Old Town, the downtown GasLamp district, Little Italy, the famous San Diego Zoo and lovely Balboa Park with it's myriad of interesting museums, Shelter Island and Point Loma State Park, the Embarcadero with it's armada of floating museums, harbor tours and ferries to Coronado Island.

Not far away is LegoLand, the Wild Animal Park, the flower fields of Carlsbad, the wineries of Temecula, and the historic gold rush town of Julian. It's just a day trip to Anza Borrego Desert State Park!

We provide the Beach equipment and beach towels so just pack your bating suit and sandals and come on out to experience San Diego's year-round nearly perfect weather!

I just sold my cabinet-making business and retired a couple years ago. My wife is a realtor. We live in San Diego.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes

I enjoy buying properties, gutting, remodeling and furnishing them. I turn them over to Nancy's Vacation Rentals to provide the income to make my money back. I saw the potential in this old house to make it into a duplex. It came out very nice and I'd be happy to share it with you and your family for your vacation. My family enjoys using it on occasion, too!

The Unique Benefits of this Duplex

Law St is a great location. Quiet and upscale without the college party atmosphere and parking problems that other beach areas have. Law St Palisades Park is a delightful place to watch the surfers and the sunset. Votes San Diego's best beach overlook! We love this street.

    • The condo met all our needs and the front patio is a great place for a barbecue gathering and what a great view of the ocean. I do need to state that some additional mattress topping ( NOVA foam perhaps :) ) would be a plus . We had a tuff time finding that perfect spot on the bed and a couple more corning ware serving dishes would be great. I had needed to use plastic zip lock for some food but other than that all was great !

    • This is our second year at 709 Law St. and we wouldn't stay anywhere else ! We love the accessibility to the beach, the great patio and having everything we need within walking distance.     • My girlfriend rented this Beach house for her family when they came to visit. All I can say is Wow. We live in San Diego and Law street is one of my favorite places to go when I want to see the Sunset. This beach house is in a perfect spot. Close to everything, yet it still has that secluded feel. Once you stay there you will know what I mean. We never even heard the Tenants upstairs and they had kids with them!! active ones!!. I will rent this when my family comes. I loved this place...

    • Very nice apartment very close to beach with a nice view from the patio. Kitchen was very nice with all ameneties. Decorated nicely. Master bed not as comfortable...sloped in middle with 2 in the bed, but was OK. May want to try upstairs apt. for better from inside apartment next time. Garage was a plus. Nancy was very helpful and we would highly recommend.

    • My friends from the UK and I stayed at 709 Law Street for a week and we had an absolute blast. The house and beach location are fantastic and if you don't have a car the bus is a 2 minute walk away for easy access downtown or up to La Jolla. We have all travelled a lot and we don't normally say we would return to a place in a hurry as there are so many more places to see but San Deigo and this property will definitely be on the return list. Tip - don't forget to pack your roller/inline skates - the boardwalk is perfect for it!

    • What a great vacation. We stayed at 709 Law street for a week and had a blast. The patio was my favorite spot for reading relaxing and chatting when the kids are asleep. We will absolutely return. My only concern are the beds, they are very noisy, so if you have little kids in the room with you and you get up in the middle of the night it will wake a light sleeper. (not a deal breaker, by any means). This place has everything you need including LAUNDRY!!! Close to everything you need, car not needed if just looking for a beach vacation.

    • The apartment was in a great location! It was our second time renting in this area, and we love it. Our son lives in San Diego, and was a bike ride away. Mom and son surfed with the dolphins...Both Nancy and Jeremy were very accomodating. We'll surely rent again next year.

    • My husband & I, and our 2 boys (ages 5 and 2.5) went to San Diego after spending a week at Disneyland in May 2008. It was a real pleasure to be able to drive right to our home away from home at 709 Law Street. The unit had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Great secure parking, 2 minute walk to the beach, beach toys & towels, LAUNDRY, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds, clean unit, quiet location, centrally located, and a safe neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 709 Law Street and highly recommend it for couples, families, or anyone looking to get away from the traditional 'hotel' room.
