This condo is located in a prime location of San Diego, with beach access mere steps away. I would be more than willing to recommend Nancy's Vacation Rentals to friends and family.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We stayed here and were blown away. The location is incredible a few steps from a beautiful bluff for sunset gazing and just a few more for killer surf. We used the cruisers supplied and felt right at home. Comfortable and cared for. Can't wait to go back. ONLY ding is that, unless you are very close, this can be a tight fit for four people but otherwise... go for it. C&B, Portland, ME

Five Stars for Don's Law Street Beach Retreat AKA ST's Beach House Jeremy of Nancy's Vacation Rentals, responded promptly to my email, helping me choose a place to stay that was perfect for our needs in SD: Don's Beach Retreat. House is as described, an easy stroll to the beach, with the convenience of the laundry, the beach toys, the stocked kitchen,  especially if you are traveling w/ children (we flew into CA). There's several grocery stores nearby, even Trader Joes, so we mostly cooked, or made sandwiches, which really saved money-and resulted in healthier eating. Nancy was helpful in extending our stay. Check in & out was easy! I can't improve on Dianne's succinct review posted on Trip Advisor: "Location, Location, Location!" Our almost 3 year old summed it up, "I love this beach house!" We hope to be back soon.

The condo met all our needs and the front patio is a great place for a barbecue gathering and what a great view of the ocean. I do need to state that some additional mattress topping ( NOVA foam perhaps :) ) would be a plus . We had a tuff time finding that perfect spot on the bed and a couple more corning ware serving dishes would be great. I had needed to use plastic zip lock for some food but other than that all was great !

This is our second year at 709 Law St. and we wouldn't stay anywhere else ! We love the accessibility to the beach, the great patio and having everything we need within walking distance. Highly recommend it but don't want too many people knowing about it so it will be available when we want it next summer !(Just kidding !) Thanks, Nancy !

we just spent 4 great days in mission beach at this condo. we were able to go to the beach without looking for parking. Just to walk out to the beach was fantastic. we have 2 little ones who require naps and it was great. the house was well kept and if we had any problems they were very good at taking care of them. thank you for a great time in mission beach.

Owner response:Pacific Beach and Mission Beach are long the same long stretch of soft sandy beach, interrupted only by Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. There isn't a clear separation between the 2 communities of San Diego; our guest was actually staying on Law St in Pacific Beach, not Mission Beach.

My girlfriend rented this Beach house for her family when they came to visit. All I can say is Wow. We live in San Diego and Law street is one of my favorite places to go when I want to see the Sunset. This beach house is in a perfect spot. Close to everything, yet it still has that secluded feel. Once you stay there you will know what I mean. We never even heard the Tenants upstairs and they had kids with them!! active ones!!. I will rent this when my family comes. I loved this place...

Very nice apartment very close to beach with a nice view from the patio. Kitchen was very nice with all ameneties. Decorated nicely. Master bed not as comfortable...sloped in middle with 2 in the bed, but was OK. May want to try upstairs apt. for better from inside apartment next time. Garage was a plus. Nancy was very helpful and we would highly recommend.

My friends from the UK and I stayed at 709 Law Street for a week and we had an absolute blast. The house and beach location are fantastic and if you don't have a car the bus is a 2 minute walk away for easy access downtown or up to La Jolla. We have all travelled a lot and we don't normally say we would return to a place in a hurry as there are so many more places to see but San Deigo and this property will definitely be on the return list. Tip - don't forget to pack your roller/inline skates - the boardwalk is perfect for it!

What a great vacation. We stayed at 709 Law street for a week and had a blast. The patio was my favorite spot for reading relaxing and chatting when the kids are asleep. We will absolutely return. My only concern are the beds, they are very noisy, so if you have little kids in the room with you and you get up in the middle of the night it will wake a light sleeper. (not a deal breaker, by any means). This place has everything you need including LAUNDRY!!! Close to everything you need, car not needed if just looking for a beach vacation.

The property on Law St. was exactly as depicted in the descriptions. We were only there for 3 days but this would be great for a week or more. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and dishes, all the appliances seem new and everything was clean. The accommodations were roomy enough for the 3 of us but 4 or 5 would be ok too. The garage is a little tight for two cars but you can park out front except Mondays. Beach is about 5 houses away. It was a peaceful getaway with plenty to do nearby. This is a very short drive from La Joella and downtown San Diego. The only thing we would have preferred was a king bed in the main bedroom but the bed we had was very comfortable. Jeremy and Nancy were a pleasure to deal with and the entire rental experience went smoothly.

Owner response:It's a standard two car garage but two large SUVs would be tight! Street cleaning is on Mondays but only once a month. There are signs posted. Nancy

The apartment was in a great location! It was our second time renting in this area, and we love it. Our son lives in San Diego, and was a bike ride away. Mom and son surfed with the dolphins...Both Nancy and Jeremy were very accomodating. We'll surely rent again next year.

In October 2008 we stayed 4 nights in the 709 Law St. apt while visiting our US Marine son. This is a great, quiet location with a quick short walk to the beach. It includes all of the conveniences and amenities needed. We very much look forward to our next stay.

My husband & I, and our 2 boys (ages 5 and 2.5) went to San Diego after spending a week at Disneyland in May 2008. It was a real pleasure to be able to drive right to our home away from home at 709 Law Street. The unit had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Great secure parking, 2 minute walk to the beach, beach toys & towels, LAUNDRY, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds, clean unit, quiet location, centrally located, and a safe neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 709 Law Street and highly recommend it for couples, families, or anyone looking to get away from the traditional 'hotel' room.

It was less than a block from the beach and within easy walking distance to any kind of shopping or restaurant that we could want. Nancy goes the extra mile to make this property comfortable and welcoming including outdoor furniture and barbeque for the large sunny deck, laundry facilities in the building and a fully equipped high end kitchen. The living room furniture was luxurious and the Queen size bed was the most comfortable we'ver ever slept on. We were primarily seeking sunshine as a break from our dreary Canadian Westcoast weather, so accommodations were somewhat of a lesser priority. We were truly delighted therefore that our "leap of faith" in renting from a complete stranger resulted in lovely and comfortable accomodations as well. The property is nice, close to the ocean (200 ft) furniture is nice but design for 4 adults only (4 chairs in the dining room). The sofa sleeper is not good for sleep there, my 15 year old son really suffered every night. In the overall the place is good. A summer vacation there must be something. Rental process was fast, smooth and active with detailed instructions by mail.

Owner response:This sofabed is brand new and was not inexpensive! If anyone knows of one that is actually comfortable, I'd like to know about it! Four of my rentals have Murphy Beds and everyone loves them. I have a French "click-clack" sofa bed in my Paris rental apt (you lift the bottom seat of the sofa until it clicks and it turns into a bed) and everyone seems to find it quite comfortable, but I had never been able to find one here. However, after getting this comment, my mom found "Convertable Sofas" at Target Online! Finally! I will check them out tomorrow! I hope this person will come back and stay in one of my rentals that has enough real beds for everyone or come back to try out my new Convertable Sofa! Nancy

This duplex was purchased, gutted, remodeled, lovingly furnished/decorated and available for it's first guest in May, 2007. We had a wonderful stay! The condo is beautiful! Brand new everything and very clean. The location is fabulous - half a block to the beach. Nancy and Jackie are great to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to rent any of Nancy's properties. Well done and thanks for a lovely getaway.
