This house, wrapped with wide sun decks, covered porches and steps to the water, is on secluded Spanish Cove ... east end Dauphin Island with boardwalks to a small beach and a deep water fishing/swimming pier with dockage.
The street entrance is a rocking chair porch with views of SeaPointe's natural park and ships plowing Mobile Bay, a short distance away. An entrance hall expands to the spacious living room, with its cathedral ceiling, windowed walls on three sides, a deck with a view of the bay, twinkling home lights by night and motor boating, sailing and swimming by day. There is also a computer area, game area, socializing and TV area.
The separate dining room and the full kitchen open to a covered deck and sun deck.
The bedrooms are secluded and quiet. The master suite contains a king size bed, double dressing room, walk-in closet, a glass shower bath and has French doors opening to its own covered deck on the garden, bay side. Two other bedrooms, each with double beds, are down a long hall ending at a spacious bathroom with large shower/tub. A large laundry is at the opposite end of this hall. A loft with a double bed, trundle bed and two futons overlooks the living room and its tall windows with bay view.
Dual drives lead to under-house parking, separated by a large room to store fishing tackle, rafts and other beach items. Inside stairs lead to the kitchen. A concrete pad is available for extra parking or a boat trailer.
From our dock, it is five minutes to the Gulf of Mexico for deep sea fishing. From our home it is a quick bicycle ride on bike paths - or - five minutes by car to a public fishing pier, historical Fort Gaines, Sea Lab, other residential bays, Indian Shell Mounds, Isle Dauphine Club (golf course and pool) and white sand beaches. Our privately owned lot on the west end beach is available for your enjoyment.
