Woosh down your own personal 35 foot tube slide, dive off two seperate diving platforms, and enjoy our 200 foot stretch of the water day or night, with no lines! Kayak, boat, or ski on the smooth-as-glass surfaces of the lake, or sink your line and wait for a bite as you enjoy a peaceful day of fishing. When you're ready, dock your boat on site and relax in the shade or serve meals on one of five covered patios overlooking the water. And for desert, savor the tastes of flame cooked smores from the back-yard fire pit. All this and more when you book your stay at the Lakehouse on Dunlap this season!

Our family-style home is the ideal place for reunions, birthday parties, wedding showers, bachelorette parties,weekend getaways, church retreats, etc. The beautiful property is located on a 100 foot span of the Guadalupe River known as Lake Dunlap. Here, you can relax with family and friends while taking in the beautiful sights of the Texas Hill Country.

The property has docking facilities with a covered boat slip and a swim platform, a 35-foot tube slide, and a diving board. Multiple decks, covered patios, and a fire pit provide endless entertainment possibilities.

Indoors, you will be equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, cable TV/DVD, wireless internet, washer and dryer, and heat and air conditioning all year, at no extra cost!


There is public access for boats and jet-skis within half a mile of our homes. And if the options at the home don’t keep you busy enough, other close attractions are:


Schlitterbahn Water Park - 2 miles
Tubing - 2 miles
Golf Courses - 2 miles
Landa Park - 2 miles
San Marcos Outlet Malls - 14 miles
San Antonio Riverwalk - 30 miles
Fiesta Texas and Sea World - 45 miles

You can also check out the historic Gruene. This delightful town, just three miles away, is filled with cute shops, great restaurants, and a country western dance hall, the oldest in Texas!


There are four properties available to fit any group size or budget:

Lakeside House- Our three bed room, two bath home can accommodate up to 12 guests
Lakeside Apartment Suite- An attached studio apartment with full kitchen and one bath that can hold up to 4
Lakeside Cottage- A charming 4 room condo with 2 baths for up to 8 persons
Lakeside Bunkie- A cute bunk house with kitchenette and adjoined bath. Kids love this place especially! Sleeps up to 3

All properties can be rented individually or in conjunction, with some restrictions in high season.

As we guarantee an allergen free home to all guests, pets are NOT allowed on or around the property. Boarding is available nearby.

  • Our family spent 3 days at your property August 2008 and had a fabulous time. The property far exceeded our expectations. Other family members in the area joined us for a family reunion. I loved waking up early in the morning, walking through the gardens to have coffee on the patio. The kids enjoyed the slide and diving board. We are already planning our next stay.   • Comment text: I booked this property and the adjoining cottage for 26 people for a 5 day reunion---we could have stayed 15 easily. The moment you step into this quaint house you look out on wonderful gardens--hummingbirds and all--and the Guadalupe River. Very secluded, private and beautiful. And what a collection of treasures from all over the world displayed through out. Plenty of hide aways for "personal space." The hosts were gracious and catered to our every need. This is not your typical vacation rental. It is spectacular!!We will definately return.

  • This property is absolutely amazing. I stayed, with 13 of my friends, from the 23-26th of May in '08 (Memorial Day Weekend). This is probably the most beautiful part of Texas I have been to. The view from the patios, the fun with the slide and the diving board. The lush gardens in the back yard made for many beautiful pictures. The water was perfect! The home had plenty of room for everyone and all the amenities that we needed. We have all decided that this will be an annual thing! I look forward to next year!
