Walk straight out from house to large (28'x28') new party deck(no steps). Stationary dock with attached floater below. Private cove (no other docks) with a 50' wide beach. Enjoy the large picnic table and gas grill on the deck just outside the family room door. Walk on to the party deck with 2 round tables, each with an umbrella and 4 chairs. Also 4 lounge chairs. Along the 650' shoreline you will find various chairs, stools and side tables.
We have a large well stocked kitchen with new appliances. The kitchen table seats 10 comfortably. There are 4 full baths, a full size washer and dryer and the master bedroom even has a two person whirlpool. A beautiful view is seen from every room. The sunroom is surrounded on three sides by glass as is the 2 story (15'x30') family room.
The house is in sight of Hales Ford bridge and Bridgewater Plaza for all sorts of entertainment and shopping. Smith Mountain can be seen in the distance. Enjoy sunrise on the rear decks and sunset from the comfort of the front porch. Over 2500' of decking. Walk into the lake from the gentle slope sand beach or dock your boat(s) in 20+ feet of water. In Jan. 2010 we will break thru the wall in the daybed room into the garage. We will convert the garage into 2 bedrooms, for a net increase of 1 bedroom.
Beds include: First floor; master-king bed, 2nd-king bed, 3rd-queen bed and daybed with trundle, 4th-queen bed. Second floor; 5th-full bed, 2 bunk beds (twin on top, full on bottom)
Starting in 2010 the cleaning fee will be $150. and include bed linens, bath towels, wash
clothes. Also 1 trash pickup.

Year Purchased: 2002
My husband and I and our 4 children spent many summers vacationing on SML. Finally after many years we found this home on Easy St. (I always wanted to say I live on Easy St.) We have had great fun renovating. This year our big project was the new cumaru dock, and replacing the appliances. We hope you enjoy as much as our family. Will be glad to email you more pictures via Kodak easy share.
Why the Owner Chose Moneta
We bought this property primarily for the 650 'shoreline and the lack of steps from the house to the party dock. We also loved the fact that we did not have to share the cove with another dock, which afforded great privacy. Our 5 grandchildren (and one more on the way) always look forward to coming to the LAKE. They especially love water skiing, tubing, canoeing, sailing, fishing, playing games, and cooking pies with PaPa. Also miniature golf, arcade games, rock climbing and shopping at nearby Bridgewater Plaza.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We never feel crowded. The smaller children love playing in the water from the beach, while others are diving from the dock or fishing. The sunroom often attracts the older crowd while others enjoy activities in the family room. All meals are spent together, at the large picnic table or the kitchen table. The Lake house is where our family reconnects and rediscovers the "warm fuzzies!"
