This beautiful house is located on 5 acres in Cameron Park Estates in El Dorado County in the Sierra Foothills. It is half an hour from Sacramento and 15 minutes from historic Placerville. It is also near Folsom Lake and Coloma where Gold was first discovered. It is a unique place to observe wildlife such as hawks, deer, and wild turkeys. The deck offers stunning views over the 5 acres covered with old oak trees, and the fruit tree orchard next to the house. It is a wonderful place to hang out, relax, watch the children play and enjoy nature, while you're just 5 minutes away from restaurants, and shopping.
If you like to be active, there are many opportunities such as visiting museums, gold mines and antique stores and the many excellent wineries in the El Dorado and Amador County. You can also go biking, boating, bathing in the American River, hiking, exploring caves. The choices are endless. In the winter this property is conveniently located one hour from Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort. A day trip to beautiful Lake Tahoe takes only one hour and a half.
- Wineries: the Sierra Foothills feature several wine growing regions such as the Shenandoah Valley, the Fairplay area in south El Dorado County, Apple Hill and Gold Hill.
- Rafting: South Fork of the American River
- Gold Panning and exploring: Coloma where Gold was discovered
- Visit the Sutter Mill Gold Mine in Sutter Creek (1 hour); they offer very interesting tours into the mine,
- Visit Sutter Creek or Placerville both old Gold Country towns. (Antiques and nice shops, great bookstores)
- Ski at Sierra at Tahoe (one hour), come home and light a fire in our wood fireplace. Prepare a cheese Fondue in our fully equipped kitchen.
- Visit El Dorado Hills with many great Restaurants, Shops and Movie Theaters.

We rented this lovely home to attend a family reunion in No. California. We came from the East Coast and this property was so convenient to Sacremento, Placerville and the Lake Tahoe area where family lives. We had 6 adults and an infant in the house and we were extremely comfortable. There were ample bedrooms and the kitchen and dining area allowed for many home cooked meals to be prepared easily and conveniently. The property was gorgeous and provided a peaceful, relaxing setting to catch up with our family throughout the week. We never felt crowded in the home and it was convenient to shopping, the Sacremento airport and most important, our family. We would not hesitate to rent this home again or recommend it to friends. It was everything it purported to be and the price was extremely reasonable. One thing I would mention for folks to consider is catching the BayLinks Ferry in Vallejo to San Francisco. The trip to Vallejo takes about an hour and a half and the ferry to San Fran takes an hour. The price is reasonable, the ferry not crowded and at the end of a long day, you can enjoy a glass of wine on the return trip to Vallejo. Many thanks to the owners for all their assistance from setting up the rental to providing recreational information. We hope to return in the future.

We have stayed at this place in spring, fall and winter. It is a beautiful property with lots of space for the kids to explore. I LOVE the kitchen. It's not your typical vacation home kitchen but very well equipped with high end appliances. We've done wineries in the area, hikes in the mountains and skiing at Sierra at Tahoe (which is only about an hour drive). Imagine skiing all day and sipping a glass of wine in the afternoon on the deck overlooking beautiful blossoming cherry trees!!

We have stayed at Cherry Tree Ranch twice and I highly recommend it. It is a wonderful place to relax and renew. It is quiet, beautiful, peaceful and there are many wonderful walks and bike rides you can take without getting in your car. The house is situated on a lovely piece of property with a deck for relaxing and dining that overlooks a beautiful cherry orchard. It is close to Sutter Creek, Amador and many wonderful wineries.
