Our family celebrates Christmas in January at the coast, and for two years (and more to come) this has been the most fabulous place for 17 people to meet. The setting is beautiful, the house is amazing, the hot tub is huge, the bedrooms are luxurious; everything is first-class. And the owner is so nice to work with. We are all thrilled with this lovely home.

This house was wonderful. Perfect for 7 couples to stay in and not feel crowded at all. Gorgeous kitchen with all amenities. Roomy in every way. The beach was steps from the house, and a person could walk for miles. The hot tub was an added treat, with a view to delight everyone. Televisions in every room, comfy beds, and parking for all 7 cars. This place had it all.

This house was the perfect spot for 7 couples to enjoy the ocean beaches, and each other's company. So roomy, and spacious. The kitchen was a dream. Everyone was able to relax, and visit with no crowding whatsoever. The hot tub was such a dream after a day of walking on the gorgeous beach. All an outing should be.

Just spent a weekend at this property for a small wedding. The house is great--spacious and beautiful. The house had all the amenities taken care of: towels, chairs, shampoo, fully stocked kitchen, etc. The firepit was great and the hot tub fabulous. The only thing that I didn't like were the excessive religious decorations. Several of us who stayed here are not religious and the crosses and the bibles everywhere were awkward. The view is just incredible, you are literally ON the beach. The beach itself is wonderful, too. Flat, white sand...just lovely. We had an amazing weekend! Would definitely stay here again.

Hi Brent, We truly appreciated your wonderful home and all it has to offer and we wanted to say thank you for sharing it. It made our special day/weekend absolutely perfect along with the great weather of course. There isn't one thing I'd change about the house and we are already trying to plan a trip back. next year The hot tub was fantastic, I personally found time for it twice a day (as well as the jacuzzi in our room)!! I have had many friends ask me how I found the property and I have directed them to VRBO with the rental number. My guess is you'll get a few rentals from some of our guests as everyone was in awe of the home! We are definitely planning on writting a review, we've been busy with back to school and sports for the kids so hope to do it soon. Take care and thank you again for letting us into beautiful your home for our wedding.

We will always remember the great time we had at your wonderful house on the ocean. It was equipped with everything one could ask for. Our family of sixteen, with four children, were getting together to have a reunion, celebrate our 25th Anniversary and our daughter's birthday. We were very impressed as we arrived that afternoon at the size, space, beauty, cleanliness and well planned layout of the house for large groups. The kitchen was fabulous and large enough for many cooks to work easily together, and the theater was a huge bonus enjoyed by all ages. Of course the hot tub was a big hit for everyone with such a beautiful view on the second floor balcony! We planned on doing many touristy things in the area but the draw of the house and perfect beach kept bringing us back together. As we celebrated, laughed and played, danced to the music and spent many hours on the beach in perfect weather I stopped to think how this house was built to make people happy. We have come home with a wealth of wonderful memories, and we definitely would all like to come back and visit again. Thank you, Brent, for building and putting so much effort into your perfect rental home to be shared by so many people. The whole experience from beginning to end was easy with you.

A Memory Maker!

We rented this home for our daughters wedding and attending family members. We have rented homes on the Oregon coast for 28 years - this is simply THE BEST BEACH HOUSE EVER! The design of this home is elegant and smart which creates such a special living experience - inside and out. The weather cooperated and we had a sunny 75 degree day for a beautiful beach wedding. However, if needed the inside would have easily accommodated the event. The surrounding area is relatively under developed which we prefer. Newport is a quick drive to insert yourself into shopping & crowds if you are so inclined. Thank you for opening up this wonderful home.

Hi Brent - I have to tell you that our stay in your beautiful home was the best we've ever had. My father pays for us to rent a house at the ocean every 2 years so he can see all of the kids/grandkids/great-grandkids, and I generally devote a lot of time to searching for just the right place. It was unanimous among the entire group that this time I really did find the perfect spot! All of the amenities in the home, and the beautiful, high-end finishes made us feel like we were in a luxury resort. The proximity to the beach was fabulous, and we all loved sitting around the firepit at night. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept in, and the little extra touches like the shampoo and the lotion were really appreciated. Thank you again for the generous gift certificate to the Drift Inn - we had a wonderful meal, and enjoyed the live music. All in all, we had a magical stay and none of us wanted to leave! I can't think of anything that you could do to improve the reservation process - your communication was excellent and timely. Our next reunion will be the summer of 2013 - please let me know how soon we will be able to make reservations so we don't miss out on this house! Thanks, Cathy

We had a group of 10 for a family reunion staying in this fabulous house in mid-July. The folks who had the house the week before had great weather, but ours was mostly overcast and a bit chilly. Even so, we had a wonderful time--golf, tennis, reading eating, and lots of kite flying (but no suntanning). The beds were great and everybody said they slept well. The movie room was terrific. The outside firepit was lovely and we had s'mores a couple of times. The kitchen is a great size and dining table works well for a large group. Washing machine/dryer is huge! Fabulous time!

We just used this home for our annual family reunion, and I can finally stop searching for the perfect house to accomodate all of our needs.....this is it! The attention to detail that the owner has put into this property shows -- and our stay couldn't have been better as a result! Our family of 21 fit VERY comfortably in this home -- with almost every couple in a private room with a very comfy king bed. The kids loved the bunk room - and we appreciated that they had their own bathroom :) . I've not been able to find a home that has access to the beach like this....just a few steps, and you're on the sand! The stretch of beach is great for the kids to play independently - and we had it to ourselves for almost the entire 5 days we were there. Amazing Family Reunion

We stayed at this lovely home in June of 2011 after attending the wedding of one of our family members in Portland. There were 18 of us ranging in age from 6 months to 96 years old - and every single one of us had a wonderful time. My elderly father stayed in the main level master suite and enjoyed the comforts of the well equipped bath with separate shower. He also enjoyed the wonderful leather swivel chairs that look out onto the beach. He was able to watch all of us playing in the surf, beach walking and the little ones making sand castles! The beach is spectacular - clean, vast and excellent for taking long walks. The large expanse of windows facing the ocean is amazing! The house reminds me of a ship - with balconies overlooking the Pacific. We used every amenity this home offerred - and it was all first class! The theatre room was full every night and the hot tub on the upper deck was delightful in the cool of the evenings. We used the fire pit on the patio often to roast marshmallows and share the stories of our day's adventures. The kitchen was a chef's dream with every imaginable appliance and tool and the large table and bar easily accommodated our large group. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable and the sound of the surf put me to sleep every night. We would absolutely return for another visit!

Awesome Oceanfront House!!

This is the second year we have stayed here. The house is truly amazing, love cooking in the kitchen! It has all of the amenities anyone could ask for. The photos are nice, but I think it is even better than they show. The house is so accommodating, and big enough where even with our family of 20, there is always a quiet spot to get away to. The beach is great for walking, running and playing. You can even watch the kids from the house. The movie room is great and the kids really enjoyed the ping pong table, air hockey and Foosball. The owners are great to work with and really go out of their way to make your visit a most enjoyable one, we have already booked it for next year. Thanks so much for opening your beautiful home for us and others to enjoy, you guys are awesome!

Perfect Weekend, Perfect Wedding!!

We stayed in this home in May for my wedding and it turned out to be more perfect than I could have imagined. The house was immaculate and the design/decorations were so beautiful and welcoming. This home was the perfect place for a wedding, and the suspended catwalk made my bridal entrance to the ceremony beautiful (and I know it took everyone's breath away!). We performed the ceremony right in the house with the beach and waves just steps away. After the ceremony we were able to go right outside onto the private beach for some of the most amazing wedding pictures I've ever seen (and I'm not just saying that because it was MY wedding). The house was stocked with everything we could need and it was so spacious that everyone was comfortable and accommodated for. My family and I are already planning our family reunions to take place in this home as it was the perfect place to spend time together and celebrate. I will NEVER forget that weekend, and this home made it even more memorable than I could have imagined. Thank you so much Brent!!!

A Great Place to Stay!

This home was a delightful place to stay and resulted in a very fun time despite a rather rainy week of weather. Everything about the home was accurately described and really did seem better than the pictures! Our group was mostly over 75, so we did not make the most use of all that is available, but I can not imagine any age group that this house would not work for. Bedrooms with private baths and TVs make everything so much easier! We certainly would not hesitate to rent this home again! The beach is fantastic, the ability to enjoy sunsets is terrific, and the close proximity to a nice grocery store and the town of Waldport made it convenient. The owners were great...very professional, very willing to answer all questions, and even gave suggestions of fun things to do in the area! We very much enjoyed our time despite the weather...I can only imagine how much more we would have enjoyed ourselves if the weather had cooperated ! We would highly recommend this place and would love to return someday! We would also add that a highlight for the week was the exceptional fishing enjoyed by three members of our party on a half-day charter! It's a wonderful place!

PARADISE found!

Fabulous house and vacation destination. We had a family gathering which included families from Snohomish, WA - Centralia, WA - Fortuna, CA- Klamath CA - & Texas. It was the perfect spot for a family meeting point. The media room was a hit with both adults and kids. The seats in the media room were soooo comfortable. The kitchen was large enough for all of us. The outside fire pit was used every evening for relaxing and listening to the waves. I just can't say enough about this wonderful house. The owner has decorated everything perfect. The sleeping arangments are great too, with futons in three of the four masters. Great for kid sleeping. We are already looking forward to renting again in the future. Thank you for a great house. :)

I will start off with saying that every review above, combined and blended can not describe the stay at this home. We have just returned from a company retreat and all I have heard from the employees is when are we going back? Every detail is taken care of with details you didn't even know you wanted. The home was immaculate and cozy, with views that can't be beat from every room. We are thankful that we had the opportunity to enjoy this home. I am already looking at available dates to schedule a family reunion. The only negative thing that I could possibly say about the stay was leaving. Multi-Family Long Weekend

This house is easily the nicest place I have stayed at on the Oregon coast. Although we did not have 22 people, we had a pretty big group and we had more than enough space. The layout is just perfect for large groups of people to gather in the kitchen/dining room/living room area, and then retreat to a guest room, media room, or guest house for a quieter setting. We had a number of teenagers with us, and thanks to the media room, guest house with air hockey, foosball, and ping pong, and 2nd floor hot tub, each one of them had a wonderful weekend despite some nasty weather. On top of all that, every room has a great view of the beach, which was very secluded for much of the weekend. Overall this is just a great retreat on the Oregon coast.

This house is amazing! My family had such a great time using this house as a center stage of a great vacation for our entire family! The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable and the weather was in the 70's the entire time we were there. Thanks to the beach and the interesting drift wood around we had some wonderful family pictures taken and my son even ask his girlfriend to marry him here. Maybe a wedding in the future at this house would be the next time we visit! Great place to Stay

WOW!!! This awesome beach house is SO much better than it looks in pictures. Each room and each view is better than the one before. We had a family reunion there in mid-August, and comfortably fit 14 people of various ages. We were joined each evening by 18 extra family members, and were able to all prepare an evening meal and sit around visiting. The teenagers loved the house and walking on the amazing flat beach. The adults enjoyed all the amenities, the views and the beautiful decor. The little kids liked playing on the upstairs hallway. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were some non-perishable supplies available that we used. The attention to detail was much appreciated by all who visited the home. The owner even called the day we checked in to make sure that everything was all right (it was). This was a great central location for our first ever family reunion, and we would definitely come back again. (If there will ever be availability). We have told everyone about what a fantastic place it was and how hard it was to leave. There were so many things for all of us to do within an hours drive and the owner provides great info about the house and fun things to do. Highlights of our trip- riding on sandrails and the sideless/topless bus that goes on the dunes, driving up and down the coast on 101, stopping at some of the pull-offs to see the tidal pools and the critters that live in them. One of the cousins had a boat so we went out on Alsea Bay to go crabbing and just ride around. Seeing the sea lions at the mouth of Alsea Bay and at the docks in Newport. Eating as many meals as possible at Mo's.

Dear Brent: As an extended family, we have rented multiple properties on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and others in Salt Lake City, West Yellowstone, Branson, MO and Lake City, CO for various lengths of time and different numbers of people. I can honestly say that dealing with you and Susan was the easiest of any company. You responded quickly to any questions and were very accommodating of our requests. All of us were more than impressed with your customer service, never mind how amazing the house is. The furnishings are beautiful and functional as well...not always an easy thing to accomplish. In fact, the house was much better than the pictures could possibly show. The kitchen was well appointed; we lacked for nothing. The laundry soap, paper towels, spices, etc. were so nice to find already there. It was fabulous to not have to rush out to the store. The huge pantry (with the games and the massive amounts of storage) was an excellent surprise; I didn't remember that from the home description. Another nice touch was the personal phone call after we arrived just to check on things. It made us feel like you really cared that we had arrived and wanted to be sure everything was to our satisfaction--which it was. I wish I had been the house so I could have told you what a fantastic first impression your home makes. The teenagers in our group literally ran from room to room, too excited for words. Along those same lines, thanks for the last email with the hints about how to pack. I had checked the weather forecast, but had no idea that there could be such a difference in weather from the town proper (Waldport) to the beach areas. I would have been totally unprepared for the coolness without your heads up. We loved the book with the pages of instructions for running everything in the house-- There are really only two things that could have made the trip better. First, being able to stay longer and second, having the rest of family be able to join us. As others have said, this house is amazing!! We knew from the moment we saw this house that this is where we wanted our wedding. Thanks Brent for allowing this special event at your home. We got married on the sand just below the steps and it was perfect, except for a little wind. The staircase was a beautiful place for pictures. Of course it is the Oregon Coast so the weather is a bit unpredictable. One day it was sunny and warm and the next we didn't leave the house. But there is enough games and books in the house to keep everyone busy. As far as our stay goes, it was perfect too. Everything you could ever want in a vacation home. From the baby to the grandparents, the house was enjoyed by all. The beds were luxurious, the views indescribable, the hot tub relaxing....the whole experience was simply fabulous. We are already making plans for a family reunion for our 2 year anniversary (the house is already booked for our 1 year, or we would make this a yearly trip). We cannot say enough about the house. It is the best accomodations for a large group on the Oregon coast. Thank you again Brent, we look forward to our next stay!

The beach house had the kitchen of dreams and ambiance in abundance! A lot of space for the twelve of us to frolic about and literally steps to the ocean. The view is unobstructed and perfect! We highly recommend.

Big family reunion vacation

Best place for big family gathering. We had such a great time and the house completely exceeded our expectations. There were 20 something of us and the home accomodated all of us comfortably. The kitchen was big and between that and the guest house kitchen, we had plenty of resources for our annual family Iron Chef competition with hors d' oeurves this year. We all loved the mattresses and got plenty of good sleep. The beach is awesome, but do bring jackets/sweaters in case the wind picks up. We had family portraits taken down by the tree that is sunken in the beach (thanks for your patience photographer Brandy), had our Goonies hunt for the treasure chest full of treats and trinkets, and had games and puzzles going constantly. The fireworks in Newport were phenomenal over Yaquina Bay. We had to make the trek to Tillamook for ice cream one day, and Florence for golf and dinner at The Bridgewater another. There are so many great locations nearby for seeking sea treasures at low tide. The other great activity is off-roading, very close! We brought a dual sport motorcycle to do some exploring, and the rangers at the Waldport ranger station were very helpful with open trails and info. Very serene and scenic. We had such a wonderful week; everyone was very sad to leave. The home is well crafted and decorated tastefully, but yet practical for children. We will definately come again. Fantastic Family Reunion House

We had our annual extended family trip at this house for 6 nights ending on July 4. We have been going on these trips for years, and this was the best house we have stayed in. Everyone from my 4 year old to 69 year old father loved the house. The house itself is incredibly well built and planned out. There was never one time where someone mentioned that they wished the builder would have done this or that. Every need or want you have is provided in this house. The location is perfect. The kids played on the massive beach every day. The adults took walks and played on the beach. The recliners in the living room were perfect for my dad to sit and watch the ocean and his grandkids play. I have never seen my parents happier on a vacation. I would recommend this house to anyone planning a vacation. We are already looking into when we can come back to this house! Thank you, Brent, for letting us enjoy your wonderful house. Hopefully we will be able to come back. Also, my father walks with a cane and was very pleased with the convenience of the house. Thanks again Brent!

My siblings and I (and our children) surprised my parents for their 50th anniversary with a reunion at the beach in this beautiful home! We stayed 4 nights and although there are things to explore in the area we didn't ever leave the home/beach. The beach access is incredible and this home is well suited for large groups. The pictures really don't do it justice! We will definitely return...hopefully sooner than later!

Best Beach House on the Coast

This home is absolutely amazing. The views of the ocean are incredible and there is plenty of room for a larger number of people. Including the guest house, we had 23 total people staying here and we had plenty of room. The beach is the best we have stayed on in all our years of visiting the Oregon Coast. You are literally steps away from the water. The house has plenty of private space for those who want some time alone and plenty of large space for you to all be togehter at the same time. It is our all time favorite Beach House and we will certainly be back.

Beautiful House on Secluded Beach

We rented this house for our wedding in April 2011. This house was much bigger than I was expecting and was absolutely beautiful. One room that came as a surprise to us was the large theater room. I would definitely rent this place again.

My fiance and I wanted an intimate space on the Oregon Coast to host our small wedding with close family and friends. We also wanted a weekend getaway to stay before and after the wedding with our friends. We were surprised and delighted to find that the house had more than enough open space, lots of windows/natural light, and great acoustics so everyone could hear our vows and acoustic music. The rest of the time we relaxed in the big rooms and watched movies, enjoyed the hot tub (with awesome views), played on the beach, barbecued, cooked and just had a great time. Everything we needed was there, from towels and shampoo to a wine opener, spices and much more. Thanks for helping make our vacation and wedding memorable and stress-free, we can't wait to come back for our anniversary!

Surprise 40th B-Day

My husband and I spent an amazing four days here with his family and mine to celebrate his 40th birthday. I did the majority of the planning and when the family arrived to surprise my husband, everyone was in awe of the home. We had such an incredible time. The house itself was unbelievable and far exceeded our expectations. The pictures are great but really do not do it justice. There was ample parking for all of the family vehicles. We made huge dinners and breakfasts with everyone in the oversized kitchen and dinning room which had many windows to look at the beautiful beach and ocean. We were on the beach everyday and it was next to impossible to bring the adults and kids in at the end of the day. We all brought kites but there is a great kite shop in Newport to pick one up if you did not bring one. We played frisbee and football on the beach. The kids had so much fun looking for shells and loved being in the freezing ocean. We could not keep them out of it. Everyone took long walks on the beach and some of the more athletically inclined ran on the beach in the mornings. We really enjoyed the hot tub during sunset, absolutely amazing! We had fires at night and made smores. We listened to the ocean at night as we fell asleep. We went into Newport to do grocery shopping and went to the aquarium with the kids. We had lunch at Mo's on the waterfront in Newport. Incredible clam chowder! We took one day and drove to Spinreel outside of Reedsport and rented dune buggies. There were plenty of tv's in the house but I'm not sure anyone ever turned them on because we wanted to be outside all the time. We had the most amazing weather during our stay which was May 13th through the 17th. I think I speak for all of the family when I write we all had an incredible time. I have talked about the trip and the house and how amazing everything was with co-workers and friends. It was very difficult to leave but we have agreed to do our best to try to make it an annual trip. We could not have picked a better home or location. Incredible!

Great Spot for a Retreat!

Our church discovered this beach house this year, and we have all fallen in love with it. We have hosted a youth retreat, five different women's retreats and our elders' leadership retreat there just during the course of the past several months. Everyone who has been there has had nothing but rave reviews, and we have had some pretty diverse groups! The house is gorgeous and sits right on the beach. It is beautifully appointed and has every comfort and amenity you could ask for. All the details have been taken care of. We fixed all our meals there, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed, as well as being spacious enough to have groups working in, and the dual dishwashers for cleaning up. There was plenty of room to accomodate everyone for meals, gather as a large group, or spread out for personal space. We are just getting ready to start booking our return trips for 2011!

My best friend and I celebrated our joint 40th birthdays at this property last month along with 18 friends and family members. Let me just say that I have stayed in probably a dozen getaway rentals and this is hands down the best one. From the very beginning, before even arriving, the owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and flexible. It was clear that they were sincerely interested in making our stay the best it could be. Then there is the property itself which is everything it appears to be in the photos. The craftsmanship really is awe-inspiring, the ocean really is right at your doorstep, the kitchen really is enormous and modern and there really are more master bedrooms than you can keep track of. I understand the owner actually helped to build this house as a getaway for his own family and the love and care definitely shows. Aside from the breathtaking views (it was overcast the entire time we were there and the views were still amazing) and the stunning home itself, here are some additional things which we loved: gigantic outdoor hot tub with separate changing room, awesome 8 seat home theater, 5 bathrooms in the main house alone, well equipped optional gaming suite, wall-integrated stereo system, gas fire place, cool fire pit by the water and 2 dishwashers in the kitchen! They even have a wine fridge stocked with some of their favorite wines which they make available at a reasonable price. Everybody had a terrific time and we couldn't stop talking about how great the house was. To top it off, after realizing we'd left a rice cooker, I wrote to the owner asking if we could have it returned. He said they'd also found some cosmetics and they would package it all up and have it sent right away. Great people. Great property. We will definitely be back before our 50th birthdays!

My entire family all 22 of us...that's 10 adults and 12 kids had an incredible time. Thanksgivng getaway and it was more then we expected. Everything from major to minor was done with the best....the quality furnishings, linens, tvs, fireplace, and dishes...it was a really a dream come true. Plenty of room for privacy and entertainment for kids when weather is bad! We will definately come again! You won't be disappointed!

All we can say is WOW! Your home is truly amazing and we can't wait to stay again. The house was extremely clean, cozy, and inviting. We have stayed in newer homes before, but yours was truly the nicest. The kitchen is so well equipped we had no trouble putting together all those big meals - and I am sure it is the first house I have ever rented that actually had enough dishes (plates, bowls, mugs, etc.) to serve all the guests it holds. If we ever all want to get together again, we'll absolutely consider your house. The beach access is wonderful. The ocean front in each master bedroom is also incredible! You would think having 16 people in one house would be very hectic however because the house is so big it never feels like you have that many people in one place. There is so much to do it is easy to keep everyone entertained. The media room is great with beautiful surround sound. The large Jacuzzi tub is amazing! I can't wait to be able to stay here again! I was thrilled to have my own own master suite with an incredible view of the ocean. I went to sleep at night and awoke to the beautiful sounds of the ocean. The sunsets were amazing. The kitchen, great room are so lavish. I look forward to returning!!!

Our family trip to Waldport and this amazing house was one of the most relaxing and fun trips we have had in years! You walk into this magnificent home and your jaw drops open. The ocean view is the first thing you see out of the gigantic windows in the open living/dinging area. Then the interior of the house will amaze you with the beauty of the craftmanship. There is more than enough room for a large group without ever feeling cramped. The beach is directly out of the patio door and is unbelievably private and accessible. The entire coastal area was easy to get around in and held numerous activities - really something for everyone. If you get a chance, head to this awesome property and feel pampered and relaxed when you get home!

My family and I stayed here over the 4th of July in 2009. This spacious home was extremely roomy for our group of 14 (yes 14). The roomy suites were just the R&R we all needed. My kids couldn't decide if they liked the media room or the hot tub best. I had to remind them that the beach was great too! My favorite was cooking in the gourmet kitchen. Nothing like picking up fresh seafood to cook and enjoy while taking in the breathtaking sunsets. When we were able to pull ourselves away from the private beach we loved the surrounding towns and sites. I would recommend this house to any group large or small. My family is already asking when we can go back!!
