Very convenient location, right between the Pacific Ocean and beautiful Sail Bay, just a block to either one and about a half mile North of historic Belmont Park with it's 1925 wooden roller coaster and indoor Olympic-size plunge, and The WAVE.
Just 200 steps to put your toes in the sand of the ocean. Sit out on your private balcony in the early morning sipping your coffee and checking your email. See, hear, smell the ocean as you plan your day. Prepare breakfast at home before heading out for a fun day of sightseeing in San Diego. Head for the world famous Zoo, SeaWorld, The Embarcadero, Coronado Island, Old Town, the Gas Lamp district or venture a little further north and northeast to Legoland or the Wild Animal Park. Or maybe just enjoy a day of riding bikes, walking on the boardwalk, strolling with your toes in the wet sand or just relaxing under an umbrella on the beach, close to home.
The light and airy living room has high ceilings and skylights and is tastefully and comfortably furnished and the couch is a queen sofa-bed for additional guests. The California style kitchen is open to the living room and has tile counter tops, Saltillo tile floors and natural wood cabinets. The first bedroom has a top of the line queen bed and flat-screen TV. The second bedroom is upstairs with a queen bed and has a door out to a small balcony. Upstairs there is also a loft with a trundle bed (two singles). There are two bathrooms, a full bath/shower downstairs and a walk-in shower upstairs.
Cable Internet, WiFi and phone line with free nationwide long distance insures that you can keep in touch with work if necessary and there is a large flat-screen Cable TV with DVD player.
No searching for parking at the beach as this unit comes with it's own garage. Extra large vehicles won't fit but there is free overnight parking a few blocks away. Boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella and two new red beach cruiser bikes are in the storage area. There is a also a laundry room near the garage for your convenience. Everything you need to enjoy a vacation at the beach!

- Garage : It's a double garage shared with another unit. It's tight. I can fit my Jeep Grand Cherokee in there (and still get out of the car) but a Ford Expedition would not fit. You have to be very careful with parking. Make sure you have insurance on your rental car for dings and scrapes. There is free overnight parking about 8 blocks away. We do not guarantee your car will fit in the small beach garage.

This is a great little condo with a really nice location. We stayed there with our two children and had a very nice time. We did not realize that the second bedroom was really part of the loft. When I read the term "second bedroom", I assumed it was a room with 4 walls, and a door. This is not the case--the second bedroom is all loft, with the bigger bed at the back of the loft, and the trundle at the front overlooking the living room. So, if adults wanted to stay up late in the living room/kitchen area, or wake up early, it would wake up children who may be sleeping upstairs. Or, for that matter, adults sleeping upstairs may want more privacy that this offers. But, for our family, who goes to bed and wakes at the same time, this worked just fine. But, there is only one truly private bedroom. However, as I said, this worked for our family. As noted on the VRBO description, the garage is TINY, I would not be comfortable parking anything other than a compact car in the space. But, it sure was nice to have parking. It was very nice to have a short walk to the beach, and to Sail Bay. The bikes did not work for our family, but there is a rental nearby. This is a condo shared with others. There was quite a bit of noise one night, but nothing (or minimal) the rest of the evenings. And, street noise, was also minimal. We had 5/6 good nights of really great sleep, and much time to relax and enjoy our time as a family on our vacation to San Diego. Having the condo to come home to was really nice. It was clean, and easy to cook in, and added a great deal to our vacation. I would strongly recommend renting from Nancy's Vacation Rentals!
