Excellent facility

Guest: Sisters (St. Louis, MO)
Date of Stay: 05/22/11 Review Submitted: 06/07/11

Three adult women recently spent a week in this beautiful, historic home. All enjoyed the facility tremendously. It allowed for all three to have their own bedroom, with plenty of other space to enjoy including the huge wrap-around porch. Though recently remodeled and refurbished, the owners maintained the charm and history of the house. The house was very clean and well-maintained. The owners could not have been more accomodating. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives and thank the owners for their kindnesses to us.

Beautiful Historical House!

Guest: tobes (New York, NY)
Date of Stay: 04/10/11 Review Submitted: 04/15/11

We had a wonderful time staying here, the house has clearly been restored with lots of loving care. Big back yard, Walterboro is small but scenic and is about equidistant between Savannah and Charleston. David and Patsy are both extremely nice. Two big thumbs up.

Hospitality at Its Finest, Convenient Location, Good People

Guest: Rico Suave (Lapeer, MI)
Date of Stay: 03/05/11 Review Submitted: 03/20/11

My Wife and I stayed with Our Son, His wife, grandson and one small dog. The space was more than adequate for our needs. We never left our dog unattended and she always traveled with us. The owners Patsy and Dave are very gracious and amicable. They have accurately described the home. The home was very clean, orderly and well maintained. Walterboro is recreating itself. There are the antique shops and artist shops. Here is the essence of the South, accepting of others and honest with its history, many cultures and comfortable in its own skin. If you like beach volleyball, tennis and hob knobbing don't go. It is an excellent location to visit and spend time with your family. The home is living history. The owners have been able to preserve the home's post War of Succession construction, yet maintain parts of the history from the past 130 years as well. The home has a unique blend of 1880's, 1920's, 1950's, 1970's appeal. The home is generational in itself. The home is centrally located to being able to do day trips to Savannah, Beaufort, Charleston and the ACE Basin.
