Absolutely Perfect!

This property couldn't have been more perfect for our trip. Our group was 3 dads and our 5 boys. The boys loved the bunk room and each of the dads had our own room. The house was very clean and had all the amenities. It was about a 25 minute drive to Loveland Ski Area. Idaho Springs is a great place to stay. They have a Safeway grocery store which is handy not to mention awesome pizza at BeauJo's and Tommyknockers is a great brewery. Jen was fantastic to work with! She was very accommodating and made sure we enjoyed our visit. We will definitely return and would recommend this house to anyone with a large group.

Beautiful, Cozy Home

This is a great vacation home for large families or groups. Our group of two families included 4 adults and 5 teenagers and there was plenty of room for all of us and all of our stuff. The decor is very cozy and comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. The roads to the property are pretty well maintained, but I agree with the suggestion to go with a 4 wheel drive vehicle - we got 9 inches of snow one day and it would have been dicey driving in a normal car. The kitchen was well stocked - we cooked a lot and had everything we needed including a slow cooker large enough for a 7 lb pork roast. I loved that there were no TVs downstairs - the teenagers actually spent time with us in conversation. The location was great - we were approximately 20 minutes from Loveland Ski area and in the summer there would be tons of activities near by like rafting, hiking, etc. Jen is excellent to work with and this will be the first place we consider the next time we vacation in Colorado.

Excellent Choice

Had a great week with family and this house made it all possible. Pleanty of room for all 11 of us to stay together instead of having to get 4 different hotel rooms. Was able to have dinner with family in home and at times had 4 gerenations around the table. Pleanty of room for the 5 kids to play inside and out. Will deffenatly be trying to rent this home again when we come back out to Idaho Springs.

Great place to stay!

Our group of 5 adults and 4 children have enjoyed staying at this property. The owners were helpful before our stay in answering questions about the property. The beds were comfortable. Linens were thick and plush! Having 3 bathrooms was helpful. Each family had their own space and it never felt crowded. The kids enjoyed the bunkroom. Lots of special touches throughout the home: cute lantern-style night lights in the bunk room, cozy blankets around the house, comfy furniture-great for relaxing, nice selection of children's movies in the TV room. The absence of cable was not even noticed! The wi-fi was fast and consistent! Sitting on the porch or in the porch swing was a favorite activity for us. The stream in front of the house is awesome. Kids enjoyed the playroom and swing set out front. We moved the firepit to the front of the house and enjoyed that under the stars each night. Sticks for roasting hotdogs or marshmallows were also provided! The kitchen was fully stocked. There was not one thing that we felt the kitchen was lacking! Kitchen island is nice to gather around. Kids enjoyed sitting at the lower counter on the child sized bar stools! This was our first experience with VRBO. We have been very happy with our choice to stay here! The house is much larger than the pictures show. The house was clean. The crib and pack & play were helpful as we had two children under the age of 2! Our group is hoping to make this property a place to come back to year after year. Lots of memories were made at this property. Thank you for such a wonderful and relaxing vacation!!!

A piece of heaven ... !

We chose this home because of location (two of ours were running the Georgetown-Idaho Springs Half Marathon) and because of the bed space (there were a LOT of us, from 65 to 6 months!) But oh, never did we expect such a lovely, lovely home and setting. Warm and inviting. A kitchen I wanted to take home. Room for everyone and then some ... never crowded. Never. And it held much of the charm of the owners' families. Very personal. The town (and grocery store!) is only five minutes or less away, although the home's setting does not reflect the bustle of town. You definitely feel out of the fray. Wonderful hiking trails and climbing. Plenty of activities for all ages (the children loved panning for gold!) And mountain goats at the top of Mt. Evans. (if you hate heights, sit on the car floor for the drive up!) The ONLY thing missing was a hammock by the creek! I will very much miss early morning coffee on the porch and listening to that wonderful sound of water!! We WILL be back!

What a wonderful home-- I wasn't sure that we'd all fit (9 adults and 5 kids) and we did, beautifully! The creek is wonderful, the common areas spacious and warm, the beds comfy, the neighbors helpful and the views peaceful. I wish that we could have stayed longer.

Eight of us stayed at this wonderful home for 3 nights. There was plenty of room and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. This home is beautifully decorated and maintained. It's minutes from town and there are many nice places to eat and shop. We had a great time and would love to come back.

Beautiful Home!!

We were in the area for a family wedding and this beautifully decorated home was perfect for our party of 5 adults and 2 teens. Every room had something to offer. Our teens loved having the spacious bunk room all to themselves and we all enjoyed playing our favorite board games in the lovely dining room on the large table! We also spent quite a bit of time outside on the front porch enjoying the creek that runs in front of the house. We especially loved the close proximity to the quaint town of Idaho Springs, eating @ Beau Jo's Pizza, visiting the many shops, and rafting on Clear Creek. The owner was wonderful and very timely at answering our questions since this was our first time visiting this beautiful area. As quoted in a previous review, the pictures do not do this home justice! I would definitly recommend this beautiful and spacious home to any family or small group!

Excellent home!

I brought my family up to Idaho Springs from Texas to escape the heat. The weather was nice and a little wet but overall it was a welcome relief. The home is an excellent value. The pictures do not tell the whole story. First, the kids stayed in the bunk room upstairs which had 3 bunk beds, a futon and their own bathroom. The upstairs also has a TV room with a nice new flat screen and a DVD player. We brought our own DVDs so the absence of DISH was no big deal. Downstairs had 3 nice rooms. Each with a queen size bed. Our favorite rooms were a very large living room and the dining room. The are very comfortable and nicely furnished. Jen (the owner) was in contact with any/all information. Excellent host/Excellent home.

This house is GREAT!!

The pictures do not do this house justice; it's much bigger than it looks. My family was lucky enough to have the opportunity of staying here in June 2010; we had 7 adults and 3 kids (1 was a baby) in our party. We had more room than we needed and everything was beautiful. The owners were great and made making the arrangements very easy. I would recommend this house to everyone. The play room for the kids, the bedroom with nursery, the bunk room, the TV room, the location and everything else about the house can’t be beat. This house would be fantastic for a small family or a large group and kids of all ages will love it. With Idaho Springs so close there are lots of things to do and a full size grocery store being so close was a bonus. Don’t miss the gold mine in Idaho Springs it was fun. We will defiantly be back in the future.

We had 6 adults and 2 children in our party. The house was perfect for our needs and the children were very sad to have to leave. You have a wonderful place for you and your family, and we appreciate your hospitality and use of the home. We very much enjoyed our stay and will return again in the future. It is great to know that the opportunity to truly relax on vacation still exists.

We took 5 adults and 3 teenagers skiing the week after Christmas and had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. We cooked almost all our meals so really appreciated the well stocked kitchen. The teens loved the bunk bed room. It was warm and cozy. They took their wii and had a blast in the TV room too. We intend to return and will probably take another family because there is plenty of room. Thanks for a great holiday.
