This cozy historic 2 bedroom 1 bath riverfront cottage is located in the heart of the Capitola Village. You will surely enjoy this peaceful habitat setting, relaxing in the yard, or on the deck overlooking the coastal wildlife along the banks of Soquel Creek. Certainly taking a two-minute trail stroll to Capitola’s most popular beach, wharf, shopping, bars & restaurants is an option as well. This quaintly furnished beach cottage is in an ideal location and provides the perfect retreat for a family or friends.
This sweet cottage is in the shape of a duplex now that does share 1 wall and the front patio. However, it has not lost it's original and historic charm. To whom will you be sharing the wall with? Well, a very nice tenant who has complete understanding that we rent our side unit during the summer. The tenant keeps to themselves and you may see a glimpse of him/her coming and going. Though you may share a wall and a very large patio, you will still feel very private. We have been renting for 3 years now and never have had any issues with this arrangement.
This is a great place for a couple or small family that want to enjoy this great town on a budget! Relax on the deck with a drink overlooking the creek. Cuddle up with your honey or with your loved ones while feeding the ducks and watching the sun go down.

Year Purchased: 2003
I very much enjoy living in Capitola for it has much to offer. There are sandy beaches to walk on, surfing and fishing in the ocean, and hiking and biking in nearby forests. Being a general contractor means working outside a lot. This area has some fog in the summer months, that really makes for a comfortable climate. I like to build and work on homes. More recently, I have built a number of decks and fences using redwood and bamboo from the Santa Cruz area. One thing I hear about Capitola that holds truth "Once you come here, you will always come back."

The Unique Benefits of this House
This craftsman home is the first house to be built along Soquel Creek. Far enough away from the traffic, there is a subtle peacefulness. Some large trees provide shade. Spacious driveway for parking and large creek side yard with a redwood deck and benches for relaxing. Being along the creek allows viewing of a large variety of waterfowl. A foot path provides a straight shot to the beach.
