The cottage is approximately 800 sf, one bedroom with queen bed, full kitchen, living room, gorgeous bathroom all done in Mexican tile, and a large den.
Many artistic touches grace this home, from unique handmade lighting (the owner is a lighting designer) to antiques, to western memorabilia. A well-mannered dog is welcome! (sorry, no cats-owner allergic). This is a private (VERY private) home, not a guesthouse on someone's property.
This lovely post adobe home is completely furnished and turn-key for your stay. Everything is provided, from furnishings, linens, kitchen ware. Enjoy the book and movie library. Lush expansive grounds are perfect for relaxation or get-togethers with friends. Wood burning fireplace, relax in the hot tub under the stars (the stars here are simply amazing - you'll see the milky way).
This is a walkers/hikers dream where its warm and sunny with a country setting away from the coastal fog. Walk a mile down our country road to the best swimming hole on the Carmel River, and 1 ½ mile to the best dining and wine tasting of Carmel Valley Village.
Just 20 minutes to Carmel and Carmel Beach, Monterey, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove, Big Sur, Laguna Seca, Quail Lodge, horse back riding, world class wine tasting, world glass golf, Monterey Jazz festival, Monetery Bay Aquarium are all minutes away - oh, so much to do and see, and for such a small price!

We moved to gorgeous Carmel Valley from San Francisco right after we were married in 2000. We lived in our home until 2008, enjoying riding our horses, playing and singing in the local restaurants (we are musicians and artists), and making life-long friends. In 2008 we moved to Los Angeles, but did not want to lose our magical home. Renting it out for vacation rentals allows us to visit from time to time, never often enough. The Unique Benefits of this House
It's so peaceful and private here - the view from every window is gorgeous - trees, gardens, hills. Wonderful walks right outside the door, up the canyon to the Kahn Ranch extension of Garland Park, down the canyon to the glorious river. The town of Carmel Valley Village is the friendliest place on earth, and the safest - people still don't lock their doors here! Have a drink at the Running Iron up the road, you could be sitting next to a celebrity, or a local cowboy (yes, they still exist, and we have 'em here) Be sure to take a walk at night, I've never seen more stars ANYWHERE.

Hi Pamela, We are back in the good old Uk now freezing cold and quite wet with gray cold rain. How great it was to stay at your place, there was only one problem, we did not stay long enough.
