3 Bedroom house, know as Flight's End, is for rent by day, weekend, week or month. Great for romantic get away or a family outdoor vacation. Not a party house.
House is located on a brook and across the road from a private pond (not suitable for swimming). Fifteen minutes to Berkshire East for skiing and zipline tours or Zoar Outdoor and Crabapple Rafting for rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, zip line tours, etc. Kenneth Dubuque State Forest is a 5 minutes walk. Good for hiking, biking, horseback riding, xc skiing and snowmobiling.
Great fishing in the area rivers and streams. Boating available on several area ponds, lakes and rivers.
Fifteen minutes to Shelburne Falls and great shopping, dining, sightseeing and the Bridge of Flowers. Greenfield, Amherst and Northampton are less than an hour away. Historic Deerfield and Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory are 30 minutes drive.
Drag a lawn chair over to the pond, fetch a glass of wine and watch the antics of geese, ducks and maybe a beaver while the sun sets beyond the pond. The babbling brook has places where kids can play in an old swimming hole, catch minnows, and build rock dams. House sleeps 8-Two rooms with double beds, one room with a queen bed, and bunk beds in the basement for young people.

Lots of Geese and ducks on your partially snow-covered pond. Your wonderful "Flight's End" Retreat is so clean and fresh and peaceful. The brook was a cascade of white water . It was music to our ears each night - Great "White noise" for sleeping. Your fields were bare but there was still lots of snow on the wood roads for skiing. . We saw a moose!!..down on one of the pools in the Deerfield River. What a thrill!! Can't wait until our next visit next fall.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It was big enough for 4 of us to stay, skiing, hiking in winter Berkshire, MA Owner keeps the place very clean, efficient, neat in country style. Quiet, surrounded in nature, you can refresh your soul, life. It has a satellite dish TV and Internet, wireless access and you are still connected. I wished it had a little bigger shower booth. Owner's help is nearby and he removed 1' snow from the snow storm. Thanks.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This vacation rental has all the comforts of home. This place offers peace and tranquility as well as cleanliness. The country side alone is breath taking with the rolling hills and winding roads. You could drive for miles on end at your leisure without another car or soul in sight. The owners are just a phone call away (right up the road) to assist you with any problem or question. There are binders of information (as well as maps) provided to you as you first walk in. The only suggestion I would make is to bring along the essentials (groceries) as the markets are located in surrounding towns. I would recommend this property to someone that is looking to getting away from the hustle and bustle and getting back to enjoying mother nature (lots of relaxation)!Did you find this review helpful? Thanks so so so much! You have a very beautiful home. This was our first vacation in five years and this was just what we needed. We sat by the pond everyday, with book, binoculars and drink in hand, and with our feet up. We will be back and I will recommend this peaceful spot to my close friends and family! See you next year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I visited Flights Landing for a fun filled Bachlorette zip lining weekend with some girlfriends. The home was more than accomodating, clean, well maintained and comfortable. The only things we needed to bring with us was food. We built a fire in the evening time and exchanged stories... The night sky was glorious!! We enjoyed mimosas in the morning by the pond! Gas grill was available to us for easy feasting! Though there is minimal cell phone reception...The home has Wifi so we were able to listen to music. It was just perfect for us to all just get away together and enjoy one anothers company.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Another wonderful winter ski season at Flight's End. Our "home away from home" is a delightful place top stay as we enjoy Berkshire East. I love it here because it is a 15 minute ride to Berkshire East instead of a 2 hour ride up-Astrid My mom and my dad and my sister and my 2 big dogs love it here-Fiona Anne -I love my ski house. About the owner: My greater family has been coming to our properties in Hawley for more than 80 years. I live up the road from the rental house and my cousin lives next door, between my home and the rental home which was my parents home. Very quiet area at about 1800 feet altitude. We love it and hope you will to. I am retired up here now. Lots to do or nothing depending on your preference
Why the Owner Chose Hawley:
I bought this house for my parents to live in and planned to retire into it when they no longer needed it. I retired while they were still in it and I bought the house of my aunt and uncle, just up the road.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
What is unique about this area is its quiet. No stores, no street lights, no stop signs. But, there are plenty of birds, turkeys, moose, bear, deer, rabbits, hawks. You get the idea it think. The stars are very bright at night and the brook can be heard from far-away. Trees, stone walls, ponds abound. Hawley's population is a whopping 320 hearty souls. Just sitting and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature is rejuvenating.
