Many thanks to the wonderful hostess of this charming and very spacious Vermont house. Priceless bonus to the wonderful accommodations was the wholeheartedness of the hostess making our stay a perfect experience!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.

Year Purchased: 1965
About the owner: We have lived in this home for 30 yrs. We now own properties in Costa Rica and therefore we rent a portion of this, our primary home in VT to skiers when we are away. I am an artist whose original paintings and sculptures populate the home. We are conservationists and appreciators of nature and land-cultivation. For many years we have grown most of our own food on this property. We have every kind of berry bush and fruit tree imaginable including 56 varieties of apples.
Why the Owner Chose Ludlow:
Skiing and farming.... as well as the beautiful VT summers and ski friendly VT winters make us happy. This is not a vacation property but our primary residence for 30 years. It was in our family for 15 years previous to our ownership.
The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse:
Farming and our privacy are our major concerns. We have worked the land on this property for 30 years and have numerous flower and vegetable gardens as well as groomed hiking paths throughout. We enjoy swimming in our large, beautiful and deep ponds. Each pond is over an acre in diameter. One pond sports a sand beach and island, while the other sports a dock and tree-swing.
