Looking for a perfect getaway for your family with romantic views of the Waipio Coastline? This three bedroom property is peaceful and quiet, a retreat from the hectic hotel-scene. Gated entrance to the property ensures privacy and security. A two car garage and extra parking is perfect for multiple guests. There are three bedrooms; the master bedroom has a queen bed, master bath, walk-in closets plus a secluded balcony with views of the ocean & valley. The second and third bedrooms have a queen bed and two twins respectively, large closets including a shared balcony. There is a full bathroom as well as a half bathroom in the main area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, large refrigerator, and a wine cooler. The large living area is beautifully furnished with floor-to-ceiling windows enhancing the amazing views. A smaller den adds a cozy, relaxed ambiance. The dining room seats eight, with additional counter-seating, all with ocean and waterfall views.
Full-sized new washer and dryer available for use. There is also a gas grill on the deck.
For the active individuals, there are bikes, snorkel gear and boogie boards available.
Centrally located on the island, we are approx. 50 min. to Hilo, 60 min. to the Kona airport, 10 miles to the quaint Hawaiian town of Honokaa and 15 to the larger town of Waimea. You will want to visit all of these places and more on your visit to the Big Island.
There is an attached Ohana unit (studio, sleeps two), with a separate entrance. The unit can be rented with the house or separately. Call me for more information on rates.

Why the Owner Chose Honokaa
We decided to build a home overlooking Waipio Valley because of its amazing view, and the fact that it was outside of the main city. We are able to maintain a quiet lifestyle and can enjoy the views and nature without the normal sounds of the city. Yet, we are within minutes from the amenities that towns offer.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This location is very quiet and serene, perfect for people looking to get away and enjoy the various activities on the Big Island. The property is a few hundred feet from the Waipio Valley Lookout that leads down to a Black Sand Beach, surrounded by cascading waterfalls. The "Valley of the King," has historic, cultural and sacred importance to the Hawaiian people. On a clear day you can see Maui. Temperatures average a perfect 80 - 88 degrees with cooler nights.

We live in Boulder, Colorado, and have traveled often to the many different islands of Hawaii. After renting for many years on Maui and Kauai, we discovered the Big Island of Hawaii, and found it to be full of new and exciting activities, including the active volcano, the observatories on Mauna Kai, and the Majestic Waipio Valley. Scuba, snorkeling, turtles and whale watching, in season, add to the excitement. Hopefully, our vacation home will add to your comfort and enjoyment as you explore the diversity of the Big Island.
