Why the Owner Chose Hiawassee
Georgia has many beautiful areas but the North Georgia mountains as a beauty of all its own. Our home has a multi peak mountain view of 30 plus mountains, a panoramic view with lake too. My husband's favorite time is to be grilling while watching the sunset. This home is just 2 hours outside Atlanta, Georgia and is a quick get away anytime you need to get away from the hustle of the city or suburb. The town is small enough to give you a calm feeling of being somewhere so different, but large enough to have two grocery stores and many restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. The peoples are friendly and make you feel welcome. Antique shopping, water sports or just relaxing on one of the many swings at Town County Beach and park is a true experience.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Being secluded and enjoying natures beauty along with one of the best views of Brasstown Bald, the tallest point in Georgia with the lake and sunset is truly an experience. Relax in a mountain decor home with recliners, rockers and and wake up in one of our log beds. Enjoy cable TV, wireless internet and all the features of home or just turn everything off and feel like you are miles away from everything and enjoy the birds feeding at one of our feeders. Just 2 miles from the middle of Hiawassee, 25 minutes to Helen Ga. and close to Murphy NC. All seasons have something to offer like hiking, boating, shopping are just a few minutes away. Create memories your family will truly cherish.

This cabin was perfect for our family, cozy but with privacy when needed. I love the layout with separate living areas, nice bedrooms and bathrooms. The back porch had amazing views. I really loved that it was pet friendly but, you would never know that by how clean it was on arrival.

Just spend 2 weeks here. The view is gorgeous. The cabin is very comfortable. Having the two separate living areas on separate floors is great if you are traveling with family/friends. All rooms are spacious and comfortable. Outside deck is perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Had an unwelcomed raccoon visitor on our last night on the deck. We found out he was eating the food we were leaving for the birds in the feeders !! Great location for day trips. Road up to cabin is a bit steep, but you get used to it. Hiawassee is such a great small town. Don't miss Crane Creek Vineyards in Young Harris.

Thank you so much for the use of your cabin. We have rented through VRBO for the past few years, but we have never stayed at a place that has such breathtaking views. The cabin was clean and very comfortable and perfectly suited our needs. Everything we needed was provided and we would certainly recommend your property to anyone who wants to be close in to the town of Hiawassee and still have the feeling of absolute privacy. Thanks again.

This beautiful cabin is perched high on a hilltop and offers amazing views of the mountains, lake and lush mountain scenery. We have been vacationing here for years, and we love the recent addition of the outdor hot tub! Fantastic place for a romantic weekend, or a week long family vacation. Plenty of room, double decker breathtaking views. Highly recommend... look no further

What an incredible place. We traveled down from Kingsley, Michigan. We usually vacation in the Smoky Mountains and we are so glad we found this gem in such a wonderful part of the Southern Appalacians. With the waterfalls and the Appalacian Trail nearby, we really were able to take in an incredible outdoor experience. Unicoi Gap and Neels Gap are right nearby and Brasstown Bald was visible from the wrap around porch(even while lying in the two-person hammock). The sunrises were awesome, and the moon was incredible. Both rose to the left and sat to the right, providing breath-taking light against the powerful peaks. The view of the lake, with the mountains in the background and the charming town around it provided for a dreamy picture. We grilled every night for dinner and had picnics for lunch in the surrounding area. The fireplace provided cozy warmth as the evenings chilled. Our children had a ball in the entertainment room and we enjoyed hearing them play. We so looked forward to each afternoon to return back and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. Relax we did. Mid-day naps everyday. The drive was paved and easily accessible. It was very clean and we appreciated the special little extras. We have stayed at seven different cabins, over the past seven years, around the Smokies and this was one of the finest. The views don't get any better. Talk about photo-ops. Could not keep my tripod down. We would reccommend this place certainly and it was very pleasant dealing with the owners directly. It is a nice touch. Too many thing to do to list but the waterfalls and the Appalacian Trail is a must. The CCC Lodge at Mountain Crossings has incredible history at Neels Gap and Dahlonega has some gold history and we panned one day with the children and actually came home with some. It was neat. We had such a good time and most of it was because of the cabin we chose. It truly is a gem and the owners should be very proud to offer such a place. It truly was a pleasure staying here and the price was fantastic. Very realistic. It was hard to leave, but will be easy to go back.
