This property is truly a gorgeous place for you to create many memories with your family. This is still our get-away as well as our rental, so it is kept up as we were staying there ourselves.
It was built in 2005 and has came along way from the little green house it once use to be. Everything is brand new. We have the most incredible view of Lake Mille Lacs right from the main living area of the cabin.
Lake Mille Lacs is a 'World Class Walleye Fishermens Paradise' with spring and early summer fishing being spectacular within sight of your own dock. If you choose to fish the flats later in the year, you will enjoy the shortest boat trip possible from the proximity of our cabin. Evenings all year long, excellent fishing can be found in the rocks by Myr Mar Marina a short 1/4 mile boat trip from your dock. If you choose to not bring your own boat, daily launch trips and boat rentals are available just down the road.
You will enjoy 100 feet of lakeshore with little rubble for a few feet and hard sandy bottom as far as you can wade. Shallow sandy bottom with no drop-offs makes swimming a kids dream. Your very own private dock and paddle boat. Bring your toys and enjoy! Public boat launch just down the road.
We are located 4 miles from Garrison, 15 miles from Aitkin, 23 miles to Brainerd and 15 miles to the Grand Casino. There are many restaurants in the area serving wonderful food if you are not in the mood for cooking (not to mention the night life you might find). What ever it is you enjoy doing, you are a short drive to it all, bike ride on the paved Soo Line Trail, Brainerd International Raceway, Movie Theater, Shopping, Golfing and of course the ever so famous FISHING on Mille Lacs (launch trips available close by, if you do not have your own boat). Truly the list is endless. Personally my family enjoys the lake and serenity of the area itself, it really is truly amazing and that is what we would like to share with you.

The cabin was exactly as advertised and promised. The location was wonderful. Very friendly neighbors! Great place to bird watch! Saw hummingbirds, woodpeckers, eagles and herons! Cottage was very peaceful and slept seven comfortably. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers.

We had such a great weekend the weather was nice, it rain here and there the second day but overall the weather held up. The first thing we did when we got there was changed into our swinsuits and ran to the lake. The water was so clean and warm, we spent most of our weekend swimming in the lake. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, it was exactly what were expect. Thanks you for sharing your cabin with us. We left with lots of great memories.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Thanks for providing us with a quiet get away from the pace of life... the cabin was adorable! Great job on making updates. Comfey beds... loved the low windows so you could see out easily... and the spacious deck. We had great fishing directly out from the dock on the flats. Of course we tried other places too but had the best fishing right there... happily we can report a 25 1/2 inch Walleye so about 6 lbs. My son also caught a 22 inch small mouth bass that was a monster from that area... we caught many 16" + small mouth bass. They are fun to catch! Nothing like a fresh fish fry... mmm...mmm... good!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Meg & John enjoyed your cozy cabin 9/27-9/29. I love your fireplace! We had late fall come overnight. We were prepared though. It was lovely to come back here and be able to flip the switch for a cozy fire. Mac, our 1 year old German Shepherd, had a great time too. We came up from Buffalo to spend the weekend with the Lani's. Saturday we had an ATV run with the Capable Partners Group on the SOO LINE. The ATV ride so awesome, fun & rewarding!! Lani's your cabin is so beautiful, warm and welcoming. We are looking forward to coming up agin- this time we will bring the girls- Amanda & Kallie. They will love it up here! Had a great stay! The cabin was clean and modern, well kept up and the owners were very personalble and accomidating. Spent most of the time on the lake shore which was quiet and private. Great neighbors. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice and peaceful get away. Thank you.Owner response: Your very welcome! Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: In 2005, my family purchased this property with a run down little green house and a yard that needed ALOT of TLC. We had always came up to Mille Lacs to fish and knew this is where we would like a getaway cabin. Construction began on the cabin and in the yard, after years of long weekends, it is now complete.... Unfortuneatly our schedules are prohibiting us to get there as much as we would like, so our thought was to share it with you and your families.
Why the Owner Chose Garrison:
For as long as I can remember, my family would frequently make weekend camping trips up to Milles Lacs, we even made many evening trips leaving the cities on a Friday at 5 p.m. heading back home at 12 midnight, just to fish Mille Lacs. Many openers have been spent on this lake and one rainy one in 2005, we went property searching. The new and improved 'Up North' getaway!
