Really great base for seeing Dublin. If you like your independence and don't want a hotel this is perfect. Everything you need, and having a shop 2 mins away is great. Lovely apartment!

We had a total of 7 people stay at this location and there was an ample amount of room. The apartments are nice and clean and our entire party felt safe. It was helpful to have a small grocery store in the complex and around a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. There were also great restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The bus ride into city center runs non-stop and we never had a problem getting there or back. Make sure you read the black binder in the apartment, it has everything you need to know including how to turn on the hot water, where the washer/dryer is located, and where the hair dryer is for the ladies. I'd definitely recommend the stay, Stephen was easy to keep in contact with and the apartment was perfect for what our friends were looking for.

The apartment was very well appointed and modern/up-to date. It was very roomy and comfortable. It has all the amenities, flat screen, clothes washer dryer, dish washer and much more. It had plenty of hot water and pressure. We did use the hot water override a couple times when showering outside of the normal times. We used 2 bedrooms and used living room to sleep for students with us...6 slept comfortably. Complex was quiet while we were there. Location is about 15-20 minutes from the center of Dublin and you have short walk (5-7mins) to the bus stops. However once you get the feel of the bus system it was very easy. One quirk of the buses are that they do require exact far and no change given but that was easily overcome with a little planning. Oweners are very accomodating, responsible and flexible with arrival delays. They responded to all of our needs prior to arriving propmptly. Nice attention to details and welcoming. No hesitation in reccomending this location to anyone.

I would thoroughly recommend this property to family & friends. The unit is neat, well-maintained and exactly as described. Steve, the owner is very helpful and obliging and nothing was too much trouble. Information regarding tourist sites and local restaurants etc was very good. Thoroughly recommend The Hole in the Wall pub nearby and the cafe in Phoenix Park on a sunny Sunday. The unit's proximity to public transport to the city and shopping centres is a great asset.

It's a beautiful apartment, as described in the photos. The bus stop is 300 metres far and the railway station of Ashtown 500 metres. You can reach city centre in maximum 15 minutes. Steve was very gentle, he waited us until 1 a.m. beacuase of our flight's delay!

Just two of us stayed in this nice spacious apartment, but it definitely has plenty of room for a family. It was very nice to have the little grocery store right in the apartment complex. We picked up the basics there when we arrived and then some pastries each morning for breakfast, which were very good. One of our absolute favorite places in Dublin was the Hole in the Wall Pub which is a very pleasant walk away. Be sure and choose your own wine to drink while you're there and/or take with you in the little wine store inside the pub. We arranged taxis the night before for early morning pick ups and they never had any trouble finding us. Also when we got a taxi returning from Dublin, they always new the location which was nice. We found Navan road to be very busy and wished we had realized sooner that we could get bus 37 behind the apartment over by the little grocery store and avoided the busy street. The bus ride was a little longer than I anticipated and we took taxis more often. Although it is a bit of a distance from downtown Dublin - it's such a nice place that it's worth it! The owners were very helpful in meeting us there (even though we missed flights and were much later than planned). It was clean and well maintained. They have lots of information in the apartment about appliances, etc as well as tourist info. P.S. Gallway/Cliffs of Moher bus tour in mid-November could be risky. FOG! We would recommend! Thumbs up!

We enjoyed staying in this apartment. My mother was injured before we arrived there and the apartment was conducive to using a wheelchair which turned out to be important. The kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware etc., were more than adequate, but we recommend the knives to be sharpened. That is a common problem in apartments we rent. We rent apartments because we like to cook a meal once a day or so but generally the knives are very dull. Catching the bus into town is a bit of a challenge because you have to cross lots of traffic and there don't seem to be any crosswalks. However, coming home is a breeze on buses #37, 38 or 39. Just be sure to ask the bus driver if they stop there. A taxi ride is about 20-25 Euros. Stephen was very helpful in getting us oriented. The price is reasonable. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this apartment. It was easy to get to bus stops. Nice quiet place to stay. It was great to have a washing machine and the place was very clean and comfortable. Good price for the amount of room. Stephen was great we got lost trying to get there thanks to the GPS we should have just followed the instructions given to us by Stephen but when we finally got there 2 hrs late he was nice enough to wait up for us and let us check in late very accommodating and good to help out when we needed it with directions etc. There is a nice convenient store nearby and shopping is not too far but getting downtown took a little bit by bus. We did like not being right downtown but sometimes wanted to be a little closer. We would definitely stay here again if we can make it back.

Our family of 5 (including 3 children aged 18-24) enjoyed the apartment during the Dublin leg of our vacation. Quiet locale outside the city center but easy access via bus. Apartment is modern, well equpped, comfortable and right next to the park. And reasonably priced! Having landed early in the morning from the US, Steve and his aunt were kind enough to accommodate an early arrival allowing us to catch a refreshing nap prior to hitting the town.

This was a great way to vacation in Dublin. It had all the amenities of home and accommodated the five in our family. The condo was in a good location, close to all public transportation; cabs, buses and commuter train. It was spacious and had all the modern updates. It also had a restuarant very close to the complex so if we didn't want to go to the city we didn't have to. It was much better than being cramped into a hotel room. The owner was very helpful in explaining how everything worked and also answered questions during our visit. We really enjoyed the Temple Bar area in downtown Dublin. It had a variety of restaurants, pubs, and great shopping. We took a sightseeing tour bus and had a great tour guide. . . he made the trip really enjoyable with his humor. The Guinnes Brewery was awesome! It was very interesting to see what all goes into making the beer. The gravity bar at the top of the brewery was super. . . you could see the whole city. We would like to go back someday and focus on some of the sights on the outskirts of Dublin. Overall it was an amazing visit.

We (a family of 5) stayed at the apartment over Christmas, 2010. It is new and mdern, just as depicted in the pictures. All linens are provided, and there was more than enough space to accomodate the five of us. We cooked at home, including a full Christmas dinner, so the kitchen is well supplied. A nice touch is the underground parking that comes with the place -- a very good thing with the snowy weather we had! There are several great pubs close by -- the Halfway House is across the street (excellent) and the Hole in the Wall is a 2 minute drive (fireplaces, etc -- great pint). There is excellent transportation into Dublin -- the bus is next to the Halfway House on the Navan Road (N3) and the Dart is across the street. It is also very close to the M50, so the drive to the airport is 15 minutes tops. Ashtown is a nice area, with shops nearby. There is also a Londis store at the apartment complex that is a one minute walk from the apartment -- very convenient. Steve and Suzanne were easy to work with and the whole transaction was a breeze. Highly recommended. Would be even nicer in the summer, as the apartment has excellent windows and light. You won't be disappointed with the apartment, area, or conveniences. Enjoy.

As a family of five from the States, we just recently stayed in this lovely Dublin apartment. The photos truly reflect the appearance of the apartment. Travelling with 3 teenage boys, this was a perfect spot for us to tour during the day and settle back down in the evening, with enough room for everyone to relax. We were very close to public transportation and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having the pub, Halfway House so close to the apartment and train to get a meal or beverage. The owner's were very responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. The owner's have a plethora of materials available to help plan your Dublin visit! Thank you!

My parents and my husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in October. The apartment is clean and spacious and up to date. The owners also provide a nice book with help on the apartment and tourist info. (We Americans would recommend some written instructions for using the hot water and heating as that was a bit challenging for us even after the owners helped us.) We loved their recommendation for the Hole in the Wall Pub as well - it was our favorite pub on our 2 week trip across Ireland. Originally we had not planned on having a car because of the proximity to public transportation. We ended up getting one anyway and were glad we did - my father cannot walk long distances due to breathing issues - and the train and bus were almost a 1km walk which was a little too much for him. Thus, the underground parking was especially nice for our group. Overall, great spot. We would come back.

This apartment was amazing, and everything that the pictures and discriptions said it would be. There was a group of 5 of us that stayed here on our trip to Dublin and it was perfect. There were 3 girls and 2 guys and there was plenty of room for all of us to sleep, relax, shower, get ready and not be on top of each other. There is a bar/restaurant walking distance to the apartment that is nice, there is a little store that is within the complex which was very conveient and transportation was but a 10 min walk away. I would highly recommend this property. When I go back to Dublin I will be staying here. The place was very clean and the owners were very helpful mapping out places to go and where you can get the bus or train as well as plenty of information left at the apartment about Dublin.

This was the best service and acommodation we had! The owners were very easy to work with and had a book with every detail you would need! We were very close to the bus and train stop, so that was very convenient. The owner recommended us to the Hole in the Wall Pub, which was a little over a mile away, but so worth it! The price was good, the owners were friendly and if I am in Ireland again, I would definately use this property if available!!!

We are two young girls who spent a wonderful months at 1 Black street, and we loved it. The area was nice and quiet and the neighbors was very friendly. The house itself was cozy and suited us perfectly. A big plus was that the apartment is 2 minets away from Phoenix Park, where we spent many hours. Another big plus was that the bus stop is just around the corner and it only takes about 10 minutes to get to the city center. This was our first time that we did something like this, so we were a bit nervous before we left. But Steve was always available and answering our questions if we wonder something. Our stay in Dublin became even better than we expected, so we recommend this lovely cottage warmt.

Terrific location in an upscale development near Phoenix Park and close to Castleknock. This condo/apartment is an excellent rental - the photos accurately reflect the true location. Furnishings are new and show very little wear. We stayed in this location three nights in July 2010 (two couples). We were close to many attractions with close access to Dublin city center. The apartment was super clean - and very comfortable. At check-in, we met the owner/delegate at the pre-determined time - and walked through the apartment and received the keys. At the end of our rental, again the owner/delegate arrived right on time and checked us out professionally. Just a reminder, there is a small shop where we were able to get groceries (milk, bread, etc.) on the complex (walking distance). And the location also has underground, secure parking accessed by a remote control. We felt completely safe, and had no cause for any security concerns. One additional positive about the owner - we had inadvertantly left some jewelry in one of the night stands. We contacted him several days after the rental, and he went out of his way to meet us early one morning to retrieve the jewelry – which was still in the same place. I have no hesitation recommending this site to anyone wishing to rent a nice 2 bedroom apartment while visiting Dublin. You won’t be disappointed.

We arrived at the apartment to a warm welcome by the owner himself. Pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and excellent use of glass (very modern) we settled in quickly. The furniture etc of good quality, complimented by everything you may need and more made our stay a memorable experience. The fairly private development consist of new buildings, with a Londis convenience store where you can find virtually anything you may need including liquor and dry-cleaning. The location is ideal, near to the M50 motorway (ring road) with the Airport and City Centre less than half an hour away. Within short walking distance we found Phoenix Park @ 1760 acres the biggest park within a city in Europe. Based on our experience I would highly recommend this apartment!
