Authentic log cabin on a rushing state stocked trout stream. This creek is rated as one of the cleanest in all of North Carolina. Fishing is great with both native and state stocked trout. Over 1,200 feet of private creek on both sides, with many fishing & swimming holes. Bring your fishing poles. There is abundant wildlife including fish, deer, turkey, fox, beavers, bear,etc. Great for the Bird & humming bird lovers! Sit on the front porch swing & watch while they feed from the feeders and bushes. Catch lighting bugs at sun-set. The stars seem brighter & closer there. All you can hear are the tree frogs, the creek, & nature. Very private, nestled between 2 mountains with a stream on 1 side of the property that has many small water-falls. Follow the old logging path through the woods which follows the stream. It's a great leisurely hike. You can explore futher into the woods & find an old fire tower & many horse trails. Over 1,000 acres
of forest is located behind the cabin.

We have a 6-person spa & 6-person sauna installed for year round use. A large fire pit and grill are on the deck.
A 5-acre field is on the road-side of the creek which also has many tent or camping areas. Also, would be perfect for horses. Property is fenced and gated. The drive-way takes you through the creek, to the cabin, therefore, you will need a tall vehicle to cross the creek (Vans, Trucks)or cross my neighbors' bridge. This cabin is the only house on 25 acres. It is waaaay off the road & across the creek. Very, very private....
The cabin has 1 bedroom downstairs & a loft bedroom upstairs. Heat is supplied by the thermostatic gas logs in the rock fireplace. 1 bathroom with a shower & 1 room with just a claw-foot bathtub. Pets are more than "Welcome". A large pet kennel is located beside of the cabin. Great retreat for the nature lovers. Great year round. Gated drive-way. Tile floors in most of the cabin. No carpet, anywhere. We change the comforters, futon cover, lysol the pillow bed covering, pillows, after each visitor. I'm the kind that took my own pillow and blanket, with a can of lysol to hotels. So, I treat my cabin as if I was a visitor. Very clean. 1 T.V. upstairs in loft & 2nd in living area, 2 a/c units in cabin.
New washer & dryer installed.
Sleeps up to 6 people inside and 100 people outside. Great condition. The cabin is 11 yrs. old. Me & my family clean it, mow it & take care of everything. The spa is drained after each visitor, so it might not be completly heated upon arrival but it will be clean.

Why the Owner Chose Boone
My family settled in the Boone area over 200 years ago. I love the mountains and creeks and the great outdoors and wildlife. It is a very peaceful area and very quite. Me & my family clean, mow & take care of our cabin. A great place to get-a-way from everything, but still close enough. Only takes 20-30 minutes to downtown Boone. Ski slopes 30-45 minutes away.

A private heated pool is awaiting outside the back door, with a fire pit and grill close by. Over 1,200 feet on a stocked trout creek out the front door. This creek is rated as one of the cleanest in all of North Carolina. Fishing is excellent right on the property. Located on 20 acres. Very private. Large firepit in front yard and a small firepit on pool deck. Firewood is supplied. Tiki torches surround the pool area with extra fluid.

I love the mountains and the outdoors. Private, Peaceful places are getting harder to find. I needed a place to get-a-way from everything. When I saw this property, I just couldn't settle for less. The wildlife is abundant with deer, turkey, beavers, fox, birds, fish, etc. It is just the perfect place to relax and forget about any worries. Me and my son have enjoyed spending many nights with no T.V. or Video Games with just old board games or cards where allowed. It does have T.V. now and video games are "welcome", but that will be your choice. I have left many of our favorite games if anyone wants to play!
